I have bounced around between several different dentists since moving to Provo, and I am really happy to say I have found an office that I will be sticking with in the future! I went in recently for a cleaning and exam. The dental hygienist I worked with was super warm and friendly and did a really thorough job on my cleaning. I really appreciate that she kept asking if I was ok and kind of explaining what each part of the process would feel like. Dr. Tidwell was really nice and friendly as well. I didn't need any further work done, so I didn't get to spend as much time with him at this visit, but I won't complain about not needing any fillings. :) One thing that I was really impressed with was their front office staff who helped me get signed up for this dental care co-op for uninsured dental patients. That helped me save a ton of money on my cleaning and exam. I didn't get the feeling at all that this office was trying to nickel and dime me for all I was worth, which I have totally felt at other offices in the past, especially since we don't have dental insurance. My husband had a great experience too. We will definitely be going back! read more

Dr. Tidwell was referred to me by a trusted individual. I went to Dr. Tidwell for the first time today and had a great experience! The hygienist who cleaned my teeth was very friendly and did an excellent job. When I asked her what I could do to take better care of my teeth, she took the time to give me a thorough answer and tell me some information from an article she read the other day. I like that my hygienist is keeping up with the research! Dr. Tidwell was very kind and friendly too - I really enjoyed working with him. I felt like he went the extra mile to make sure everything went as it should as he filled my cavity; he was good at communicating and asking questions to ensure a job well done. Best dentist experience ever! I saw Dr. Taylor for the first time to have some cavities filled and he was punctual, gentle, and thorough. I literally could not feel the shots. He also took extra time to make sure the contacts were just right and the fillings were smooth. (I had a little gap between a pair of teeth before and now it's gone!) He was very personable and friendly. I would feel comfortable taking any of my kids to see him, and would recommend him to anyone. Even if going to the dentist usually makes you nervous, you'll have a great experience here. They treat you like an old friend. I have also been in to see Dr. Tidwell many times before, and he is fabulous as well. Makes you feel like a million bucks. Whichever doctor you see, you can't lose here. read more

Our family has been going to Dr. Tidwell's office for many years. He and the staff are great. Dr. Taylor is a great new addition. They schedule appointments appropriately and we haven't really had to wait in reception for long. The kids (ages 5-17) like going to the dentist and getting their prize at the end. We haven't had a lot of cavities, but Dr. Tidwell worked with our orthodontist to make sure some cosmetic work on my son was done correctly. The orthodontist was comfortable "eyeballing" things, but Dr. Tidwell kept taking measurements and waiting until the orthodontist made the correct adjustments before going ahead with the work. I created a Yelp account to rate these guys. I saw Dr. Kayne for a crown replacement, and not only was he kind and professional, but incredibly thorough while paying attention to every bit of detail. Minimal pain and was incredibly helpful. He knows his stuff. The whole staff here are welcoming and if you go anywhere else you'll always be wondering if you should've gone with Rock Canyon Dentistry. Seriously, now that I've mentioned it, every time you go anywhere else, these words will flash through your mind: ROCK. CANYON. It's in there now. Don't fight it. read more

I had not been to the dentist in 5.5 years and was rather nervous about this appointment. However, after thoroughly scouring online reviews, my wife informed me that this office seemed hopeful. Well, I can now say that I was VERY impressed with our service (both from the dental side and from the front desk). We even took our daughter for her first appointment (age 3) and all three of us left with smiles on our faces (and me with only two cavities :-) ). Just an all-around great dentistry. I was so impressed by how warm and kind everyone was. Both Dr. Tidwell and Dr. Taylor genuinely care about their patients and they are very knowledgeable. I have always strongly disliked going to the dentist (and not because I have bad teeth, but because so many dentists aren't careful enough and cause unnecessary bleeding and discomfort), but this dentistry has changed my mind! The staff and Doctor were friendly, personable, and expert, and I was very satisfied overall with the care we received. What really impressed me, however, was the hygienist (Kaitlin (sp.?)), whose manner with my four-year-old put him so completely at ease and was so effective and caring that I felt even his parents could not have shown him more care or made him more comfortable. Great office. My kids are pretty scared of the dentist but they have really turned a corner. We just finished our appointments and they're already asking me when they get to come back. They have a prize drawer with fun toys for the kids which really helped. I had a little cavity that needed filled and Dr. Taylor did a great job. Great place to get your teeth cleaned and worked on! Very friendly staff and very patient friendly environment. I didn't have to wait at all for my apt, they greeted me by name when I walked in (my first time ever even going!) and took my straight back after finishing my paperwork. I hadn't been to the dentist in a couple years and I'm glad I did! I was in and out within 45 min even. Totally recommend them! read more

We're always greeted by the front office staff like they are old friends. The hygienists have been very thorough and gentle in their cleaning and examinations. Dr Kayne is friendly while maintaining a professional demeanor. He really is a very good dentist. He offers nitrous as an alternative to prepare for the numbing shots. We've been coming to Dr. Kayne for 10 years, and we'll keep coming for another 50. Rarely a wait, always expert at preventing pain, and never a problem with the work he's done.
