We purchased a bedroom set, in store at the DURHAM, NC location. SORRY to post this on the Raleigh site but I could not find a way to post on the Durham SITE. Looked and looked for link !!! Anyway, the sales consultant was very professional, patient and pleasant. He suggested an under the bed rug as an accessory we liked it so we added it. We asked about the rug being put down and were told that the delivery would include getting everything set up. On delivery day we were told that don't do rug installation!!! so they put in the whole bedroom set and left the (under the bed rug), in a corner unsealed!! during the delivery they chipped my footboard, so they had to bring a new footboard, they did that today and I asked,,,, again could the rug be put down and again..... was told they don't do it. Called customer service and spoke to 3 very nice people but only to get to where we were told the 3 party delivers can do or not do this, it is at their discretion. Ok well had I know this we would not have bought the rug!!! So then I requested to just return the rug and was told that returns have to made in 3 days!! My husband and I cannot lift the bed to lay the rug, which means we have to try to hire and pay someone, and we didn't want to do that, so we were going to return it, but now we can't do that!!! I feel certain that the salesman did not know this could happen!! But I think it's important that other people know!!! !We were very specific in store about our situation, but yet we are now stuck with a $170 rug that we only bought because we liked it and thought it would put it like everything else. I rated a 3 because the rest of the furniture is nice, so I l felt comfortable with OK and Maybe this is different for the Raleigh Store, but if you are dealing with Durham keep in mind that 3 party delivery does not do RUGS!!!!!!!!!! #verydisappointed read more

This store is looking great since they're remodel! Was so nice to see their new stuff on the showroom floor. Loved the Alissa sectional and was able to make one that will fit my apartment! We bought a kitchen table set about two months ago of course when it came there was damage on some of the chairs we called and reported it as of today no one has ever reached out to us to correct the issue they know how to sell you the stuff but aren't good about responding to any issues we even bought the extended warranty protection plan with it. If I could give a zero review, I would. Bought a dinning set a couple of months ago at this store. Chairs were delivered about 1 week ahead of time and then the table. When the table arrived we discovered that 4 out of the 7 chairs were wobbly. The legs are uneven meaning some legs are shorter than the others. I called the repair center and I was told that replacement legs would be shipped and a technician would be dispatched to install. Due to COVID I was told it would take longer than usual for the legs to be shipped. As the time passed the table's surface started chipping. Well weeks passed by and I called the service department. I was told that I there wasn't an order placed for the legs and was told that is not a common practice. I was then told that a technician would be dispatched to repair the chairs. The technician showed up and basically said that the chair legs were simply lose and started to tighten the screws. I told the Technician that the legs are not the same size and tightening the screws will not fix the issue I need new legs. The technician said there's nothing he can do and left. I called the Ashley store and spoke to a manager who listened to my frustration and I asked for a refund - don't want the furniture anymore. The manager started quoting from Ashley's policy which is that refunds are only given when the item is delivered. I told the manager that this was unacceptable since as a consumer I'm hesitant to purchase items from Ashley due to the poor quality. I mentioned that in addition to the table I ordered an office chair which I waited over 1 month to have it delivered and once it did it was broken. Then weeks later they delivered a replacement and it was also broken. I finally asked for a refund on that item. At the same time that I purchased the office chair I also purchased an office desk. The first desk literally fell apart as it was being assembled. I received a replacement weeks later. For this reason I wanted a refund which I was denied. I guess they don't care about repeat customers. I told the manager I will never buy anything from Ashley ever again. The manager only works there so she could have cared less for my repeat business. I guess I'll be taking my 10k to furnish my new house somewhere else. Please don't let the low prices fool you. You get what you pay for. Purchase your furniture from other stores like Costco who really care about their reputation and go out of their way to help - even if it means going around their existing policies. Everywhere you go you'll either fall in love with everything, fall in love with a few pieces or totally hate it. Here at Ashley's we only fell in love with a few things. It just wasn't the new modern style of furnishings that we were looking for. They had some really nice pieces but just not the style we are seeking. You may ask yourself why the 4 star rating if they didn't have what we were searching for... well... the service here was amazing. Probably some of the best customer service that we have received why searching. Sales reps Kitty and Kristina Z. were so awesome. We were greeted upon entry and 'schooled' on the ropes of Ashley Homestore. Kitty did a great job breaking down what makes them the best. While searching around she continued to check on us. When it was time for her to leave for the day she introduced us to Kristin who was just a friendly and welcoming. Kristina seemed full of knowledge when it came down to the mattress game! The showroom is huge and full of different pieces. We didn't purchase anything on this go round but will hope to return to make purchases on the outdoor furniture. Extremely dissatisfied with my Ashley experience, and would give 0 stars if I could. I placed an order for a bedroom set and dining table set on November 7, 2020. At the time I was told that my order was in stock and I should expect delivery at the end of November to early December. However, my receipt mentioned possible delays of 8-10 weeks. Here we are SIX months later/24 weeks, and still NO furniture. I ended up going back to store this weekend to cancel and receive a refund. The lack of transparency was incredibly frustrating. I never received any communication from Ashley regarding my order unless I initiated it. Every reply was a generic response with no real updates. I had 2 delivery dates which were cancelled with NO communication. The customer service agents were incredibly rude. It's incredible that Ashley is still accepting orders when there is a clear supply backlog. I think that a credible business would work to ensure that supply issues are resolved before continuing to accept people's hard earned money for knowingly unavailable products. Ashley clearly has supply issues and cannot fulfill the orders, yet they continue to lure people in with promises of 12 weeks that Ashley clearly cannot deliver on. What a shame. I really did enjoy working with the staff at the Ashley home store. If you are looking for more modern furniture, this may not be the store for you. I noticed that this store has a lot of bulky furniture. These furniture pieces will more likely go into large spaces. Compared to other furniture stores on Glenwood Avenue, this store seems to skew for a more mature, older crowd who would like more traditional furniture. Again the staff were super nice and great to work with. Prepared to be spoken to and I'm slightly followed around the store by a sales person. They only want to help you find what you are looking for. All in all they do have great pricing on some items; however, The signs are extremely difficult to read and to understand. I would love for a sales person to break down the signage structure of the pricing as soon as you walk into the door so that as you are looking around the store you know and understand exactly the price of the pieces. This review is based on my visit to the store today. The moment we entered we were greeted kindly by a sales rep. Our old faux leather sofa was peeling badly, flaking everywhere around the house and with a baby around the house who tries to eat everything that was extra dangerous. Word of precaution people, DON'T EVER BUY FAUX / BONDED LEATHER FURNITURE - THEY WILL START TO PEEL AFTER A FEW YEARS GAURANTEED. So anyway, we were in the store in search of a non-leather sofa this time. The service we got at this place was top notch. Every so often the same sales rep would consistently come back and check on us to see if we needed help with anything. Any questions we had she would answer them with no problem. We told her our budget and she was even willing to slap a few hundreds off the price tags to help us get within the price range we were comfortable with. In the end, we went with 100% polyester sofa this time. The price on their official website for the piece was $300 cheaper than the in-store price so we let her know about that and she was able to price match it with no issues. WORD OF ADVICE: check the online prices on their website first and compare it to the prices inside the store. Some of them are actually cheaper online - don't spend extra cash when you don't need to. Checkout process was smooth and pretty swift. Overall great experience here shopping wise and they have very affordable prices for the good deal of selection they have at this store. WARNING!!!!!!!! Well, I guess I am a new member of the Ashley Scam Club. We purchased our couch in August 2019. It was delivered in Sept and within 2 weeks the fabric started pilling and the back cushions were sinking. Its been 7 months of countless calls to customer service. 3rd party service came in and said it is unfixable and will need to be replaced then called Ashley and confirmed it right in front of me!!! Then Ashley's customer service said that the 3rd party said it could be fixed. LIES! NEXT, spoke to a manager and he agreed to have it replaced and I called back to confirm delivery and they said they are sending someone out to FIX IT! MORE LIES!! I have been shipped pieces of replacement since December 19 and they think they are going to tear apart this couch in my living room and STAPLE it back together. If it were possible to give this zero stars, negative stars, I'd totally do it. I feel like I rarely give this low of ratings but it is well deserved. My partner and I purchased a dining room table and chairs 12/6/20. That's correct, December of 2020 and I am posting my review now. Why you ask? Because I JUST received my items. When we purchased the table, four chairs, and bench it was estimated our items would be here in 6-10 weeks. A little annoying, but we did TONS of shopping around and were in love with this table and chairs. We understand it's COVID and everything is delayed. Fair enough, 6-10 weeks we will wait. 6 weeks comes and goes, 7 weeks comes and goes, 8, 9, 10 weeks come and go. I sell my current dining room table to make room around 10 weeks and it comes and goes. My partner calls the Ashley number listed, waits approximately 45 minutes, only to be told that they can't tell us when we will get our stuff. But it's not ready. That's all they can tell us. We are extremely annoyed because while delays can be tolerable, the lack of communication was intolerable. We call back another time and are estimated that the items will be here in a couple weeks. That estimated time comes and goes and the customer service is sooo unhelpful. They initially quote us on it arriving the end of February and then a day later we are into April. We go into the Ashley HomeStore in person and they offer us some money back, apologize for the lack of communication, and we are estimated it will be here in two weeks. Okay. I'm still annoyed but can accept it. My partner TAKES OFF WORK because someone has to be here to receive the items only to be called during the delivery window to say they're not coming. A lot more back and forth happens that I won't bore you with but we finally received our items at the end of March, almost four months after we ordered. 0/10 would not recommend. Normally I wouldn't leave a good review for a company that had me waiting 17weeks for a delivery, however, today I finally had a customer service representative on the phone who took time to sincerely apologize and explain to me that due to COVID oversees the manufacturing of two of my three items had been delayed. He was able to create a separate delivery for the couch that is now being shipped out in the next week until the other items are available. Thank you John P.! Ten years ago we swore we'd never buy from Ashley Furniture again because of an issue with their extended warranty, but then we did it. We bought our new kitchen set Thanksgiving weekend. Within a couple of months it got bubbles in the middle. A few weeks ago, I noticed the it was peeling up on the end. When I called customer care, she told me the manufacturer's warranty was only good on this issue up until delivery. WHAT?! Has anyone ever heard of a warranty that's only good until it's delivered to the customer?! So I called again yesterday thinking maybe I'd get a different answer from a different person. Not quite - "the manufacturer's warranty is only good for 24 hours from delivery for this issue." So now, I can say with 100% confidence, we will NEVER buy from them again. My review is based only on my in-store experience yesterday. We have had major issues with the thousands of dollars we spent at Rooms to Go and came in to Ashley to see if there were other items we could switch out to. We were greeted right away by Kristina, and asked about what we were looking for. She immediately knew exactly what items to look at that came in the correct size, and made sure we were continually checked on. She knew we couldn't purchase that day as we had to wait for Rooms to Go solutions first, but that did not stop her from servicing us promptly and professionally. Unfortunately for us and Kristina, we are likely stuck with what we bought despite many issues, but I wanted to make sure that Kristina received the credit she deserved. On another note - for those reading reviews, our master bedroom set did come from Ashley a couple of years ago, that set is holding up beautifully, we haven't had a single issue. I do recall being almost brought to tears of anger by the delivery man, though - so I would take those reviews to heart. read more

I know it's commission based pay but come on. Dude, I have your name, I know what you look like, if I need help with anything I know I can find you. Customer service is HORRIBLE. For the second time, they have pushed back the delivery date pf the furniture WITHOUT contacting me to let me know. Every time I call, the delivery date is pushed back. At this point, by the time I get the furniture my lease will be up and I REFUSE to be couchless and bedless for a year. I purchased my furniture at the end of June; I was told then it would arrive the first week pf August. Then I called to update my delivery address, it had been pushed back until September 5th (no courtesy call). Called again today, it has been pushed back until September 25th (again no courtesy call). Then we have trouble getting a supervisor on the phone. I refuse to believe that a supervisor isn't available during normal business hours. 15 days after my damaged sectional was delivered.. Repair man came out today, nice guy, but Ashley did not authorize him to do anything. So here's where i am. shley home store customer care, Michael from SAW come out today to see the sectional. He inspected the right arm love seat and reported that it had 4 hrs worth of work to fix. The rep from Ashley told him not to work on that piece. He recommended it be replaced and said it was obviously damaged during delivery. No work was done this piece. He also inspected the wedge and recommended that also be replaced as it was a manufacturer issue - the sides are not the same and therefor do not match up to the rest of the sofa. No work was done on the wedge. Finally on the chaise - i sat on the arm side and showed him how it squeaked when i sat down. He also noticed the fabric behind the top pillow was wrinkled. So he fixed the wrinkle and also look at the area where it squeaks, but said since it's not a spring there is nothing he could do. This sofa has the trampoline bottom. So he did fix the wrinkle - which i did not even notice, but did not fix the squeak that was the problem i reported. So, all in all, after two weeks of messages and dealing with customer service I have no resolutions. read more
