"Major Product / Delivery Issues" - Bought A New Bed but Ashley Sent Me Used/ Refurbished Product .. TWICE!! Bought a king size bed and delivery confirmation was within a few days which was good. Delivery guys showed up. The foot board and rails all came in a box which they opened and everything looked great. The headboard on the other hand did Not come in a box (not sure if they unboxed at warehouse or what). I can tell the movers were in a bit of hurry as they were trying to get it upstairs. I asked if I could inspect it first and found 2 tears on the back of the headboard. I pointed it out and told him I would be refusing it. I paid full price to accept anything less than new. Re-delivery was just 2 days later again not in box. The legs on the headboard had to be taken off and they already knew that. I figured they do it inside my home but someone had the bright idea to do it outside and lay the fabric headboard on the concrete (mind you it has been raining all week) the ground is wet and dirty. I figured they just clean it once assembled. Once inside they lay the headboard on the floor again to attached the leg back and it was then when I noticed the back part again had a big patch where someone had recently fixed a tear. Again I refused it. One of the guys is like "Sir they can come out and fix that, that's not a problem". I'm like "Yes, it is a problem.. its refurbished". I understand some items have a manufactured defect but this was clearly not that. It was a repair someone recently made. For Ashley to intentionally send me a refurbished item is very upsetting. As I customer who paid $900+ dollars for a brand new bed I expect a Brand New Bed not used/refurbished. I finally spoke to a customer care manager named Ashley who was going to look into the matter. She did offer a store credit or $50 discount off my finance card for my troubles. I declined and requested instead Expedited delivery with new headboard still in the box. I Just want what I paid for. I will update review once I finally get my new bed. For now just would advise everyone to inspect their delivery for any defects and if warranted refuse it. Request all items still be in box or still in original wrapping. Stuff like this makes you wonder of the thousands of customers who paid for a new item but "possibly" got a refurbished one without noticing. ***Update 08/27/16*** Since no one called me back I called back customer service who informed me about my order and that today's truck order was full and they could not get my order in it for delivery today(Saturday).. The next available date for a 3RD attempt delivery is Wednesday 08/31/16. That's 1 week longer than my original delivery date. SO FRUSTRATING!!! Simply not worth the hassle to buy from here anymore. Customer support cannot even make a "wrong" a right buy expediting my order. Do want to mention that Ashley the manager from yesterday left me a voicemail while I was on hold from customer support. I just received my sofas today. I love them. But today I went on the internet and saw they were discounted to $389.99 from $419.99. I also paid $99.99 for delivery. I order my sofas on October 8 just after Harvey but no one told me about free delivery. It took six weeks to get the furniture and in that time no one checked to see if I paid for the delivery. or told us about that. Did not want to wait another six weeks. read more

So I went to Ashely Furniture on a whim and bought a sectional couch. I'm glad I didn't read the reviews first, because they are surprisingly not very good. I was greeted by a sales guy named Melvin who was very helpful. I told him what I was looking for and he showed me several options. I got approved for financing pretty quick and was able to purchase the sectional I wanted. I also bought the $300, 5 yr protection plan just for the simple fact that if you don't use it, you get a $300 credit on your next purchase. After I left, I read the reviews and saw that most of the negative ones were because of delivery issues. I thought, "great, here we go." Well the couch was just delivered, on time and in perfect condition. The delivery guys were also very professional as well. So if you are in the market for some home furniture, go see Melvin at the store on fairmont in Pasadena. I will definitely be going back myself. read more

This was my first time buying furniture and this has been the worst experience ever!!! I want to just return this mass produced made in Vietnam piece of junk!!! The first delivery came on December 5th and I still have not been able to use my table or chairs after a second delivery. The sales person that sold us the set, obviously just wanted to make a sale, because there is a lot of information he should have told us. The manager in this store has done nothing except make the second delivery worse. Between the store and customer service, I keep getting different answers. The only helpful employees from Ashley were the delivery drivers. I have offered to pay for set up or drive to the warehouse and I'm told they won't do that because they can't change my delivery method from the first time. I feel like they are taking advantage of their customers. I just want my table that can actually be put together right and to be able to use it. Ashley needs to be able to make this right. I am telling everyone I know DO NOT GO TO ASHLEY! I had a much better experience with Rooms To Go with a living room set. I would give this a 0 rating.In may I order two beds and they were supposed deliver it at the end of June and we got a message to reschedule our delivery for July and we got another message so we could reschedule our delivery after July.1 week later we got a message to confirm delivery and we confirmed it for the next day we waited all day for our furniture to come and it never came in but they could have at least called or send a message saying they weren't going to be able to deliver it.The next day we went to the store to get an explanation of why they didn't delivered it.They told us that the delivery was scheduled for the next day we waited all day long for the beds and they didn't come in we called the store 5 times and we waited about an hour and nobody answered and again they did not send. A message or called they were not going to deliver it.the next day we went to the store and they told us that we could reschedule and try again but we decided to cancel the order.We decided to go to another store and tell them if they had the furniture we were supposed to get and they told us that bed was not in stock at the moment and they weren't sure went they would have it in stock so it would have been better if they just told us the truth and we could have gotten another furniture that was on stock and not having to reschedule it.And the wort thing is that my siblings are sleeping in the living room in the couch.so I wold not recommend to buy furniture here and having to trough the same thing we did.before buying a furniture at any store make sure to look to the reviews of that store and see how many stars it has. read more

My parents home flooded during Harvey and needed to refurnish most of their home. Eric Albin greeted us at the door. Once we told him why we were there, he simply showed us around, made a list and was very patient. The following day I brought my dad back to be the final decision and pay. Once again Eric took him around and showed him everything we picked out and was once again very patient. Not only was it a great experience, they got everything at a great price. I came in and placed a layaway order on a lot of furniture to stock for a new house. Just a bedroom set and couches, dining room table set. Not a whole lot, but enough. I then came in a week later to place down payment and confirm delivery. Delivery was confirmed for only a few items, even though the items were on layaway for a week already. That should give them time to confirm having it in their distribution, so that they can properly tell me when it can be delivered. They didn't have several of my items ready for delivery once I placed the order so it was going to take two days to deliver. It would now be Saturday. They don't do deliveries on Sundays or Mondays, and they still had a few of my items not ready for delivery, so they decided to just not ship the entire rest of my order. On top of that, they didn't even reach out to notify me. I had to call and ask when the truck never showed up for my delivery time. Not one person could help over the phone or even offer sincere condolences on why I wasn't notified about the failure to deliver my order. The salesman also guaranteed that all my furniture would be delivered on that Saturday, so not only do I have someone in their store who is a liar and terrible salesman due to his lying, but I now have to wait till Tuesday to have my furniture delivered. Who's to say that it will even be ready come Tuesday. Anyway, I highly recommend you do not give this company your business. They haven't offered any type of support or help in my case and I have been very civil in my dispute with them. Once my furniture is delivered I will never do business with Ashley furniture ever again. read more

Once I bought my furniture, I had about a 10 day wait for delivery. Then I was told my delivery would be between 1 to 4 PM on the day it was scheduled. At 5:30PM they called to say they would be there at 7:30 PM (7.5 hour standby). I was unable to be there at that time due to a scheduled flight. I was then told it would be another 3 weeks before they could deliver again because they had gotten behind. Their customer service for delivery is horrible, they should hire more drivers/trucks. Why should the customer be subjected to longer wait because of the failure of their delivery times. Never again. read more

We were lied to, given wrong information, misled and we even had one person misrepresent himself as the manager of the store at one point. I have never dealt with a company that acted so unprofessional. I rated them with one star but if there were a negative star category, this place would definitely deserve it. First, beware of Identity theft at this location. After purchasing furniture here, I was a victim of fraud immediately. Second, after purchasing almost 4000 in bedroom furniture, I ordered 2 lamps that I liked on the showroom. When I got them home, they did not look right in my house. I called the salesman to ask how I go about returning them and he said that I could not. They really should state this policy when they sell something to you. I was under the impression that I would have at the very least 7-14 days to return merchandise. Never again. read more

Horrible customer service and they lie to you. I purchased a leather sectional set from salesman JR and was told that he would confirm on Monday that all pieces were available and call me. He did not call me so I went in the following Saturday and talked to him. He assured me that all pieces are in stock. So I paid for this item so that it could be ordered. I was called two days later and all of the pieces were not available and told to pick something else out. After being lied to, no way will I ever purchase from them again and if you know what's good for you, you won't either. I totally understand all of the bad reviews now and wish I had of thought, this won't happen to me!! I am due a refund of $3,739.56 since 4/26/16 and still have not received. I have called and called and even called corporate to no avail. I have been told 5 different stories. My last call this week on Monday I spoke with Rachel "the acting manager" and she has going to call accounting and call me back. Three days later and I have yet to receive a return phone call. I filed a complaint with BBB and Texas Attorney Generals Office this week. Hopefully this will get some action as nothing else has helped. UPDATE: I received a phone from the Corporate Office 3 days after filing complaint with BBB and amazingly enough I received my refund the very next week, almost 8 weeks afterwards. I should have read reviews before I went, I would not have even set foot in the store. My son and I went to shop for his bedroom set everything was good up until delivery, we bought on 5/30 delivery was set for 5/31, and we waited nothing came. So I contacted the store which took over 40 minutes until someone finally answered on Monday, which they in return told me we're so sorry I don't know who could have told you that delivery was going to be done, since delivery was already cut of at that time. When delivery was finally done on 6/21, delivery personnel damaged one of the drawers, which was not noticed until after they left I called them right away and asked them to please come back to pick up the damaged product, they refused to turn around. Same day I got a hold of one of the store managers where we purchased in Pasadena, and she worked with me on sending me an even exchange which was scheduled for tomorrow, and guess what, that's right no automated phone call for cancellation or delivery, I called them myself to see what happened, and I was told the item for exchange was not at the store, and one should be there tomorrow and rescheduled for Thursday. I am very disappointed in this store. We came to Ashley seeking a new dining set for the house we were building. We found the table and chairs and paid them off in Mid August. The first attempt at delivery we were told that the manufacturer broke a piece and that we would receive it on Oct. 17. Two months after purchase. Today is Oct. 17th and yet I do not have my table or chairs. I called and was told that it was again the manufacturer's fault. This will make my table late by a whole month. Now my delivery date is the 30th of October and truthfully and honestly I do not even remember what the table and chairs I purchased looks like. If you are looking to buy their furniture they have a great selection and nice salespeople, but when will you get the furniture WHO KNOWS. I had hope to buy a living room and bedroom set from them, but now that is out of the question. Best case scenario, I get my money back, but reading reviews from other stores I have my doubts.
