First off buyer beware Ashley stores are all franchises like McDonald's and Burger King. My opinion do they can give you the run around like I've been having. Bought a twin bed from them and it broke within 2 weeks of buying it. The store said rudely we would have to use the warranty. Part 2 terrible experience had to go thru 10 different foreign call centers to finally get a number who would do something. Had to call corporate to get somewhere. They send the part then they tell me oh I'm responsible for putting it together. Hey you put the garbage together to begin with. Once again had to get a run around on a warranty for god sake you'd be better off buying furniture from Amazon I've had better service from them and Walmart. So 3 managers, 10 foreign call reps and 2 corporate managers later and 1 week of aggravation finally getting somebody out here to fix a rail. By the way, the furniture is terrible. It's made of Balso wood at Best but its fiber wood is what it is. It's not even solid wood. for 800 and some dollars for a twin bed plus another 200 and some dollars for a warranty. This is ridiculous. These are the worst people I've ever dealt with in my life and apparently I should have done my research because they get an F here and they've got so many bad reviews all the Ashley's do it's just terrible. No wonder their parking lot usually empty my bad this time. I'll never shop at Ashley again for anything. I'll go to their competitor Johnny Janosik I've had actually better luck with them should've went there to begin with. Went to this location looking for a bed we had been trying to find for a while. Other stores were quoting 14 weeks delivery. Mason was incredibly helpful and found it for us faster. He got it delivered in 6 weeks. We were so pleased we bought a living room set too! They were professional and knowledgeable. Couldn't ask for more. read more

Horrible business practices--one issue after another. Never going back! I could write a small book about my exhausting and frustrating experience with this company, but instead I will summarize the most irritating bits (which are kind of a small book anyway). * Was excited to find a nice soft and squishy sectional sofa. Ordered and was approved for financing...then had zero communication from anyone there for FIVE WEEKS. * Side Note: The sectional came with 9 pillows, which I did not want or need and asked repeatedly for them NOT to deliver. Hard as a rock, not usable in any way and did not match my color scheme at all. * When I called for a status, I was told that the item had been discontinued and I would not be getting the one I had ordered. Seems they should have fulfilled pending orders first, no? * As a consolation, they said I could instead buy the floor model, but of course that was used so I would have to pay for cleaning myself, it was not a configuration that would fit in my space, AND I had to arrange and pay for my own delivery (which had been included in original order). * I agreed to buy the used one, so I had to return to store (Visit #2) to redo paperwork for the (used) sectional and separate (new) ottoman. My daughter and I were there for over TWO HOURS. * After checking the paperwork in more detail, I realized that somehow I was actually going to be paying MORE MONEY for this used sofa that wasn't what I had ordered. After several calls and texts with the manager, I was told they would refund "90% of the delivery price" which was $308. Fine, it was something. * The next day, their service desk blew up my phone with no less than five calls (called, hung up...called, hung up) and two voicemail messages telling me I had to come back (Visit #3) to redo the paperwork again, which I already knew from speaking with the manager. I called back to inform them I would return to the store exactly one more time: when the ottoman was ready for me to pick up. Also, that I would really appreciate if they could process all the paperwork beforehand so I wouldn't have to wait as long this time. * Later that day, my delivery guy called from the store to let me know they would be on their way to my house soon. In the background, I heard the service person say, "She will be back on Monday to pick up the ottoman and process her discount." Okay great--I was starting to feel like things were nearly resolved. Sofa was delivered, and we fit it (awkwardly) into my living room. And of course, they also brought the 9 giant pillows that I had repeatedly requested the store NOT to give me. (I was able to give them away via Facebook Marketplace, but of course that was even more of my time wasted to take photos, measure, post online, etc.) * Monday came and went with no call from the store. Instead of waiting yet another week or more for the ottoman, I decided to search for it online. Sure enough, it was right on Amazon for $150 less than the store's price and free delivery literally to my doorstep. So I emailed the store to let them know this, copying all service team members and several managers. Zero of them responded. * A few days later, I returned for I hoped would be the final time (Visit #3). Guess what? Their computers were down! Had they at least printed out the paperwork so I could sign and be on my way? Of course not. My daughter and I waited in the parking lot for about an hour and then gave up. I asked them to call me when their computers were working again. * Three days later, I finally got a call. I drove back to town for VISIT #4. They refunded me for the ottoman deposit and cancelled financing for it. But when I asked about the sofa delivery refund that had been promised by the manager, they had no record of it and I was told, "It's too late to make any changes to the financing amount." GRRRR! But at this point, I did not want to go back and forth with them yet again and just wanted to be DONE with the whole mess, so after expressing my frustration and disappointment one last time, I walked out. MORAL OF THE STORY: Beware of Ashley Furniture's shady business practices and poor customer retention! read more

I purchased what I was told was a leather sofa from Ashley furniture store in Middletown Delaware. Shortly after I received it it started peeling and a couple holes. I do have cats that's why I wanted another leather sofa I have had them in the past and they never got damaged. I called to Ashley store they told me to call the insurance people I got coverage on it with they told me they wouldn't cover it and call Ashley back. I called the Ashley store they had a manager call me and told me that was not a leather sofa and they have no way to know if the salesperson told me it was leather because they were not there. They told me they would send someone to sew new material on the sofa over the damage. I spoke to a trained upholstery person and they said it cannot be done in the home properly it would have to be taken to the shop and taking apart in order for it to be done or it won't look any better than it does now. The structure of the sofa is very nice and I would just like it reupholstered properly and they told me I have no way of getting anything more than what they offered. I paid $1,600 for this sofa thinking it was real leather. I offered to buy the leather if they put it on the sofa for me and they refused. I am stuck with this furniture with pleather on it actually pleather is probably stronger than what is on it it is paper thin. I would not advise you shopping at this Ashley furniture store or any other one anywhere they do not stand behind their furniture and neither does the insurance that you buy on the furniture they will only fix broken parts. It is not my fault the salesman told me it was real leather or I would never have bought it. They should let me buy the material and they should supply the upholsterer to put it on the sofa and they refuse. Just adding to my review. Ashley was supposed to send some material to my house for the sofa and they never sent it. When I received it I was supposed to go down to the store and pay $150 for the upholsterer to come and apply it to my sofa and I never got the material. read more

Ashley Furniture #AshleyFurnituresucks. We bought a leather couch and it was defective. We called and reported the problem the very next day it was delivered. It took them 7 months to send out a technician to fix the problem and it's been a nightmare since. A year later and 4 technician since we still have this POS couch and it is falling apart under us. We have gotten nothing but the run around from both Ashley Furniture and SAW industries, the company that services Ashley's furniture. Avoid buying anything from them at all cost. read more

Best experience at this location. While, I've visited a few locations between MD & VA, my Delaware experience is incomparable. I'm the store was beautiful. I came in and was initially greeted. Had the opportunity to work with a fantastic saleswoman named Crystal Broomer who took good care of me. She made me so at ease, was so knowledgeable with a good spirit and positive energy. When I thought I was only going in to look around and get ideas, because I don't live in Delaware (so I thought I couldn't purchased for a Delaware store) Crystal made my dream a reality! I was able to order new furniture for kitchen and office and get it shipped directly to my home! I felt at ease and confident I made the right decision. If I could give a negative stars or no stars I would. In the first Of April I went to the Ashley furniture store in Middletown Delaware where my sales lady Susan was very nice and very helpful I applied for the financing which was quick and painless although I left a very happy thinking my furniture would arrive and everything would be fine. furniture was to arrive in two weeks when it arrived it would not fit through the door and the delivery guys said that they had to return it and I either had to pay a 25% restocking fee which would've added up to well over $400 and I still would have no furniture or I can re-order another set but I had to spend more money in order for them to do this so, I added a recliner on top of the sectional I had already orderedThree weeks past and my order comes this time the guys refused to even bring it off the truck because he said it would not fit even though I was guarantee that this time it would fit. So I ended up having to buy furniture somewhere else. Then I find out that they are taking money off of my card to pay back a loan for Furniture that I did not have. I called them and called them and left message after message with managers it's been a couple months now and I'm still trying to get this nightmare straight! read more

If it were possible I would say 0 stars. Assume when you go into Ashley HomeStore you will be lied to and your furniture will take at least 12 weeks to arrive if ever. I assume they make money on frustrated customers, accepting a 30% restocking fee. The manager and associates will promise anything. Don't listen to them! it's all a set up. If you order a chair be prepared to sit on the floor because the chair will never arrive. read more

Worst store I have ever been to! I have always purchased my furniture through Ashley. Have loved until now. They are selling furniture and telling customers that it is coming on a certain day and then when that day comes they say they don't know and can't tell you anything. Worst customer service I have ever seen. I have been waiting for for three months for my stuff and they still kept making up stories. They have no stock and yet continue to sell. Friendly staff. Really appreciated Jade's help with selecting our furniture. She was able to get answers for us if she didn't know -- and really hustled to find those answers. Kept checking on us to make sure that we didn't have more questions! :) All staff was friendly and would enjoy working with them again. Looking forward to getting our new furniture! Absolute worst experience. I recommend you do not believe their word on when your items will be delivered. They sold me an item on 9/13/2020. Still haven't received the item as of today. They rescheduled this delivery 4 times already. And now they are telling me it won't be available until mid February 2021. Wish I could give this place zero stars. I ordered furniture and a mattress on 11/14/20. They quoted me 2-12 weeks which was completely fine because of COVID. I started calling in the beginning of January to ask for delivery estimates. They never knew and kept making up dates, then pushing them back. Finally, I had a delivery scheduled for Feb. 16th. The morning of Feb. 16th, they call saying their delivery truck had broken down and they had no delivery slots available until March 5th. Mind you, I had already gotten rid of my furniture, so at this point so I was sleeping on an old mattress on the floor. I told them this and they responded by telling me I could come pick it up at their warehouse over an hour, when I paid over 200 dollars for DELIVERY, March 5th, they claimed the delivery drivers showed up and were denied by someone at the house. I was home all day and they NEVER showed up to my house. We went to the store and attempted to cancel the order but they refused to refund our money until the furniture reached the warehouse. Ok, I get that. March 13th, we get a phone call that they were delivering our furniture, THAT DAY.. the day after we attempted to cancel. Finally, the truck shows up with the nightstands that are chipping on the bottom and a dresser with a huge chunk out of the side. Sent it back and got a refund after our FOURTH visit in the store. Ordered from R&F and got my beautiful bedroom set in TWO DAYS. Save yourself the headache, do NOT bother. read more
