BEWARE- bait and switch, you try out furniture in their showroom, seems great, you order it, it's as hard as a rock, different feel, terrible! Won't do anything for us...Customer Service is non existent. You get bounced around to different people and told nothing they can do for us. Husband has a terrible back- 2 surgeries and now we're stuck with almost $4k work of furniture that we can't return. We spoke with them prior to the 72 hour window...nothing, had to keep calling back. Nothing they can do for us..you're SOL.- told it could take a month to soften, and after that, stiill no guarantees...they have a script and they don't deviate from it. After three years the fabric is becoming defective. The manufacture of the furniture is FLEX STEEL, yes flex to break. OMG the scam of the called furniture protection policy is such a rip off, in the policy what is covered is accidental puncture's, cuts or rips. The absolute worst, most amateur operation I have ever worked with. For starters, we paid for delivery. The delivery crew of 1 adult and 2 teens stoners. The kids dropped the boxes, 1 inside down and 1 sideways and simply left. No notice, no interaction, no knock on the door. One of the kids was seen riding a 4 wheel cart down my driveway. So after coming to the conclusion that "delivery" that I paid for, was total bullshit, I got my kids to help unbox and bring the chairs into the home. It was at this point that we realized that one of the 2 chairs was the wrong color. These guys got nothing right, were combative about the situation and generally unpleasant. I should've read the reviews before I placed my order. I ordered a mirror over the phone and was told the mirror would arrive on Sunday, 8/11/2019. I paid for the mirror, obtained a pick-up truck to help me bring it back and went to the store to pick it up. When I arrived I was told to "drive to the back so you can grab it." I drove to the back only to be told "we don't have your order, go talk to the front". I immediately went back inside where I was informed that the Sales Associate shipped the item to another store. I was never notified of this. Further, the manager came by and said that he would call us "when it came in" which is unacceptable and frankly, a breach of contract. The manager also had no idea what the item was for an told me it was "for a table" when the order sheet clearly states "mirror". I contracted for goods that were supposed to be ready by a certain day and did not receive notice that they were not ready. Further, I had to go out of my way to make accommodations to pick up the mirror which are now futile. I DO NOT recommend Ashley Furniture to anyone and should have done my research before my purchase. Never again. read more

Absolutely awful - shop anywhere but here. I purchased a new sectional and chair from Ashley in Kenosha, Wisconsin in January. I paid an extra $90 (on top of delivery fee) for "set-up" which included unpackaging and attaching the feet on all the pieces. The "new" chair they delivered had stuffing coming out of it, a large white wire hanging visible on the bottom front of the chair, the underskirt is visible from any angle and is also ripped on the underside. I also noticed the feet are all in different spots. On one chaise, the feet are recessed by about an inch and on the other chaise the feet actually protrude (albeit slightly but enough to cut my foot a few days later) beyond the chaise itself. The misplacement of the feet is visible and obvious. I contacted Ashley within hours of the delivery and informed them of these issues. They asked for photos which I provided and was told they would get back to me. Three days later I followed up asking for status and was again told they would get back to me. A month later, and still no word from Ashley so I again contacted them. They have refused to exchange the defective chair for a new, undamaged one and instead said they would "repair" it. This is unacceptable - I purchased a brand-new piece of furniture, not a defective piece that has been repaired. I also asked for a refund of the $90 I paid for the "set up" fee, due to the issues with the feet, which was also refused. This was my fourth time purchasing thousands of dollars worth of furniture from Ashley and obviously my last. I now get the pleasure of spending time I don't have dealing with this crap. Purchased a leather sectional on November 3rd. Was informed by the sales associate that it would be "built to order" and scheduled delivery for late January. Sectional was delivered on December 8th with damage. We were informed a repair technician would come out and repair. We didn't hear from Ashley, so we kept calling and finally a technician showed up on January 30th. He informed us the sectional wasn't new and appeared to have been previously owned/or was a floor model. After multiple calls and getting bounced around with no call backs between their delivery center and the Kenosha location, we are still waiting to hear back regarding repair. Flipped the sectional over and the tags show part of the sectional was produced in July 2024 and the other parts of the sectional were built in October 2024. This explains the mismatch in leather color between the pieces and why the leather didn't appear new. If you are informed that your furniture will be custom built or made to order, this is the first in a line of many deceptive business practices by the Ashley Sales Team. As I am writing this, we still haven't heard back from anyone with Ashley. Customer service is dreadful, follow up is nonexistent and the quality of the product we thought we purchased is substandard. Beware of these deceptive business practices; once you purchase a product from Ashley, you will be forced to make multiple calls with no follow up, be bounced around by customer service care teams that don't have your best interests in mind and will be left in the lurch to pay for a product that was misrepresented at point of sale. read more

I purchased a table the Ashley furniture couldn't repair through GBS so they issued me a credit. I was really excited for the great customer service! I received a phone call and voice mail almost 2-3 a week since this credit was issued to come into a store and use it before it expires. I happened to be visiting my family in Kenosha and thought it would be a great idea to have some opinions on what to purchase. Tina was our sales rep. She was really nice. She did answer all our questions but did need some assistance since her first day was Black Friday. She is still learning. In this process we met the manager as well. He was nice and accommodating. The black/ African American lady that works at customer service desk was not friendly or accommodating at all. They told me to go to her to get my credit printed. I felt like I was a burden when I approached the desk. She couldn't find my credit in the system and didn't believe that I had a credit. I asked her to call another location because they gave me the credit number as well. When I first approached the desk she had her head down and her hands on her head like her head was hurting her. Once she printed my credit she gave it to Tina. They price matched the lamps I wanted because on the Ashley site they both were on sale. I still had about $15 to use. My sister found a small accessory that is $20. I said I would pay the difference of the 5 dollars and change. Tina was asking her for help and couldn't figure out how to use the credit since it was her first time. The lady finally got up and came to our computer. She said I would have to pay the delivery fee of 59 or 69 dollars. Which didn't make sense because I was getting two lamps shipped without the shipping fee attached. Then she changed her story and said this item doesn't qualify for the credit and you can't buy and carry it out. She asked if I wanted to pick another item. I asked well what items do qualify. She said she doesn't know their are thousands of items. I explained if you don't know they how am I suppose to know. I don't want to waste my time and look around and find something for you tell me it doesn't qualify. She didn't answer. Tina said if your ok with it we can just adjust the price of the lamp and you will be fine. I didn't really want to do that since I would be wasting my money, but I did do since I had no other option. I would like to tell you about a horrible experience that we had with your store after spending around $20,000 over the last 6 years there . This may not sound like a lot to your store but to the average person it's a lot and you would expect the service you receive to be great . When we were in the store to get some furniture we knew what we wanted and let the salesman know that when we walked in , he left us alone and checked on us occasionally , this part of our experience was great but from there it goes way down hill . Once we got to the register he was quickly passing us off to the women up front as you could see he has another couple waiting for him to finish their sale . He told us from the beginning of our interaction with him that if we were to by our grandsons bed and mattresses from him as well as the furniture that he would guarantee free delivery to both locations we needed them to go to . So we were given some paperwork to sign off on , never explained what it was other than showing the product and price ( in hindsight , I feel like this was where the integrity piece comes in ) we initialed about delivery but again nobody explained what type of delivery meant . First date of delivery for the bun beds and mattresses was supposed to be the following week , then we got a call that they were short on drivers and needed to reschedule so we did . Then the date got switched again , I called again and this time was told that the manufacturer didn't have the product ready yet so we were at their mercy , so who was lying the first person about being short or the 2nd saying it was the manufacturer? Either way the larger order got delivered on time and the experience was fine but I take you to today , the delivery driver just dropped off the furniture in the front of my daughters apartment complex , how would you expect her to carry that in to the 2nd floor by herself . We told the sales man at the beginning that we needed the same delivery to both locations , did not know nor were we told that there is white glove and just drop off , had we known we would have paid the extra . This should 100% be part of the discussion when selling something to someone but he chose to rush through the process so he could move onto the next , this was about commission for him and not customer service at all, very disappointing . I also forgot to mention that I called about a day or 2 after the sale and let one of the women at the front know that he said we would have free delivery but found a charge for the bunk bed delivery . She said that she would look into it and call me back , of course no call back . I did call to complain today and spoke to someone in delivery , he told me it wasn't deliveries fault , they did was they were supposed to and said he was transferring me to a manager , I did leave a message . I used to recommend your store to everyone based on the last 2 times we had been there and made purchases now I will be warning people to stay away because this is just like a used car business , all about the money to the bottom line and not at all to deliver great customer service to gain loyalty !!!! read more

They tried scamming us after refusing a kitchen table set that had defects from wrong inserts being installed by the factory, to a 2 ft crack going down the middle of the main leg. After the second table came damaged we refused the purchase and asked for a refund. We then had to wait several days to hear back from their accounting department, and they finally told us that not only would the table not be fully refundable (due to a restocking fee), but that the chairs and the 4 year accident coverage we purchased also weren't refundable...mind you this over a thousand dollars we are out now! Went in back in May to purchase new bedroom furniture us and our kids as well as TV stands for our new home. Spent around $5,000 and we are STILL waiting on the dressers for our boys. It is August 18th... We were told that some of the plants shut down due to COVID (okay, I get that). Then we were told it was a "material issue." The dressers have been pushed back twice now. I understand the world is reeling from COVID, but this is somewhat ridiculous. Oh, and the delivery windows are ATROCIOUS! They'll tell you they'll be there after 12:00 (noon), but on our first delivery they didn't arrive until almost 6:00pm. Delivery took over an hour and one of the drivers stunk up our bathroom. I guess when you gotta go, you gotta go, but that's not very professional in my opinion. So today, we are delivery #14. They are currently on #2. Again, we have things to do tonight and can't wait around forever. Sad thing is we've waited forever already, so we really have no choice. I wish Ashley could streamline this a bit better. We were also told we'd get a $50 gift card for our inconvenience, but that hasn't happened. I asked Martin, who was our salesman and he said he had to ask another manager. More run around... The store experience was good. Martin was helpful and directed us in the right direction. Because we purchased so much, I asked if we'd get some kind of discount, but at the end of the day we didn't. The furniture we have received has been great. It's beautiful, functional and sturdy. It would just be nice if delivery was a bit better. read more

I shopped at Ashley Furniture figuring that a large company would have good service. I was dead wrong. I went to Ashley Furniture in Kenosha WI early June 2019. After a few hours of searching, my wife and I settled on a couch, loveseat, and rug. We were told all 3 would be delivered July 7th. As expected, I received a confirmation for delivery a few days before and was all ready for our new furniture. The day before we got rid of our current couch to make some room for the new ones. The day comes for delivery and it shows we are stop number 7 on the route and that delivery should arrive around or before noon. Noon rolls around and I refresh the tracking to see that we are now stop 9 for some reason and delivery won't be until 2. So now its 2 and I haven't heard anything. I go to check again and now the time says 5-6 PM. By this point I'm slightly annoyed but it's understandable. 4 PM comes and I go to look....now it's 6-7PM. Ok, cool as long as I get my furniture. Shortly after 5 I receive a. call letting my know that my couch and loveseat will not be arriving today because they don't have time to finish deliveries. I ask when they will arrive and am told "The next available delivery day". So, I ask if they deliver the next day and they say yes but those delivery slots are full. She's going to talk to her boss about getting it the next day and call me back. It's now that I realize my rug was never mentioned. I ask about it and she says "It's been ready for pickup since the 12th". Strange, since it was for delivery. Figured I would ask when I got my call back, which I never got. I let my wife know and she goes to pick up the rug while I'm at work. She calls me afterwards and tells me the guy told her "It ends up they're not making these anymore so were giving you the floor model." We both agreed that we paid for a new rug that was supposed to be delivered and not a used floor model for pickup. She goes back and after 20 minutes she gets told "He must have been mistaken, we have never been allowed to sell floor models and this was just shipped in".....Ok then, so why was my wife told that? Somethings not adding up. So now I've never received a callback and the 11th comes around. I receive another text to confirm my delivery tomorrow for the 12th that I never agreed to. I confirm the delivery and receive a call about an hour later. "Hello, this is the Ashley Furniture Homestore. I just wanted to let you know that the couch you ordered has damage to the right leg. We know you've been waiting and will still be sending this couch to you tomorrow. You'll receive a call after to schedule a repair to come out". I hesitantly agree, not like I have a choice right? So yesterday the 12th is finally here. I get a call from delivery letting me know they've arrived and are downstairs. I go down to let them in and am asked to sign the shipping documents.....which only show a loveseat. I ask where my couch is and they say "It shows on the documents here that it's rescheduled for delivery, but theres no date entered yet." It's not the delivery guys fault so they notate what I told them about being told it will still come and they tell me a supervisor will be calling me shortly......well guess what? It's the 13th and I still have yet to receive a call, or know where the hell my couch is. After over a month of waiting, sitting on the floor for a week after waiting all day for a delivery that never came, receiving what I'm pretty sure is a floor model carpet, and still no couch, I will never be shopping at Ashley Furniture again and recommend against it to others. Oh, have I mentioned I've left numerous voicemails for the managers who never called me back? I spent nearly $2000 at your store and this is how you treat customers? The majority of my household furnishings have come from Ashley HomeStore for nearly 20 years. When we relocated BACK to WISCO last year, our dining room was a priority (thanks to Ashley in Kenosha WI - problem solved!), and now the living room is the priority. I had an idea what I was looking for - but nothing set in stone. I shopped Kenosha Ashley on Wednesday with a friend - and of course, there was a salesman at the door ready, willing and more than able to join us on our shopping adventure. He offered assistance, and when I told him I was just looking at ideas, he explained the current promotion and appeared ready to assist us. I thanked him and politely (as politely as someone can) requested that he "please do not chase us through the store". He was taken aback a little - but honored my request. After an hour of shopping, "sleeping on it" and making a to-scale drawing of the limited space available for the sectional I desired - my mother and I returned to finalize the decision. The young man who had honored my request the previous day turned out to be Martin Downer who recognized me and stopped to say hi on my return. I have to say that he is the most knowledgeable sales person I have worked with! I also work commission sales, so I understand. His patience and skill is second to none. He ended up taking apart sectionals (more than once), measuring and remeasuring to assure that the furniture I wanted would actually FIT in the space I have. My mother was interested in a new mattress as well ... Martin's knowledge was again impressive - he not only is well versed in furnishings, but has learned the attributes of each and every mattress in the store - not just "canned" or "by the book" answers but true knowledge of the sometimes subtle differences in mattresses. Needles to say, Martin made TWO sales yesterday and he has 2 new loyal customers. I bought a beautiful leather sofa from Ashley HomeStore in Kenosha, Wisconsin along with the 5 year "premium" extended warranty from GBS Enterprises, You know the one that is friendly, prompt and worry free in home service. (See their reviews.) I have a slit in one of the cushions. It was an accident not wear and tear. I called twice. 4/26/21 I was on hold 32 minutes then was disconnected, then on 4/25/21 I called again this time on hold 47 minutes. This time I gave up. Next I went online and sent an email like they suggested if the lines were busy. Included a copy of the invoice. Nothing...then I emailed again on 4/30/21 nothing. I called again and waited 32 minutes and finally got to talk to someone. He took all my info, He confirmed that I was in the system, told me to take pictures and email them in, which I did. Nothing! I called the Ashley Kenosha store on 5/17/21 and could not speak to management, but she took the info and said someone would be calling me back.NOTHING! Now, Im a nice person, I don't go off on salespeople for little things and try to be patient when a wait it necessary, but this is nuts. I then went to Facebook and sent them a direct message. They were so nice and promised someone would call within 48 hours. This happened 3 times! No one called. Nothing...The least they could do is acknowledge me! Communication is key in business especially with a paying customer. First, why would you use this company for furniture repair? Has anyone looked at their reviews online? 89% negative reviews! I sure wish I had. They always find a reason not to repair the piece of furniture. And when you are buying the furniture the salesperson is talking them up like it is so easy, and fast if you do happen to need service. They need to get another protection plan or tell your sales people to speak the truth. Ashley is getting such a bad reputation and they don't care! They could care less. Its quite a racket they got going. The sales person should be ashamed for lying just to get a sale. Ashley should be ashamed to be affiliated with GBS. And GBS should be out of business. read more

Couch arrives with one of the pieces damaged. 3 days of calling customer service finally gets them to send a replacement piece that takes weeks to arrive. The piece they sent was stained in several places and had a rip in the fabric. I have now called on ; separate days sent numerous emails with photos attached. I have yet to get a reply or response. When calling customer care the message tells you if you wait on hold longer than 15 minutes you will be sent to voicemail and a representative will contact you within 3 days!!!! I have called 12 times in the last 8 days and have not heard anything back. Horrible business practices absolutely zero customer service. Shop elsewhere for furniture!!!! I will NEVER shop here again. We went in for a sectional and found one we really liked and immediately had a problem after waiting over and hours to even start the order. First- they had 2 of the 3 pieces available and refused to do 2 different deliveries as we where ok with them being separated deliveries. Second- I have officially been given 3 or more different delivery days the first was March 28th it was over 4 weeks but we where fine with that whatever. Second day was put to April 6th whatever now frustrated. Third- They called and said they had to move it back AGAIN to April 14th... nope done with the run around and freaked out told them if it wasn't delivered on or before the original date I would cancel my order and demand a refund on everything!! They told me they would call me back and they actually did and told me they could do April 2-6th... well what happened to that option before you told me the 14th well my guess is that you have to spends thousands of dollars in order to get the service you pay for. I paid for the ridiculous delivery fee and for the sectional in cash and the sales person got his commission but me over a month later I still have nothing to show for the money I spent. read more

I ordered box springs, the correct box springs, and they delivered the wrong box springs (three weeks after the promised date) and gouged the headboard of my 115-year-old antique bed when they "dropped" the box into place. We went to the store to correct this and now they are four weeks late from the manager's promised date for us to pick-up the correct box springs. I will not shop there again. Do not let them deliver and set up unless you are willing to take the risk. Their service is terrible, their help is useless, and their promises are void. Go somewhere else. read more

Ah yes, the old "If I could give it zero stars, I would" review. My wife found a sleeper sectional on the website not on the showfloor, so we called to purchase it (since the website does not allow you to order it online). Of course, they refuse to take an order over the phone AND refuse to tell you what you'd be paying until you come into the store. Linda was there to make the sale and quoted me a whopping $250 more than the list price on the website. After a bit of convincing, she finally agreed to match the online price (no brainer, right?) and ring me up. That wasn't the end of the charges, though, because she added a $140 delivery fee (for a delivery that wouldn't end up taking place for 4 full weeks) as well as a mandatory $100 protection plan (which I was able to get her to take off after I threatened to walk). Fast-forward 4 weeks to the delivery, and the guys from the warehouse show up with the sofa. As they're unboxing it I started asking questions about the sleeper mechanism. Turns out they brought the non-sleeper variant, as that's what Linda rang up. Looks like she was able to sneak her way into that bigger commission after all. I refused the delivery, but they decided to just leave the sofa in my living room anyway. I called the store as soon as they opened, and over the course of the day Linda refused to return calls, placed me on hold for over an hour, and ultimately decided the best solution was to charge me an additional $500 for a different sleeper. Not acceptable. I told her to issue a refund and that we simply would not be doing business with her. Once again, this could not be completed, and I would have to take an hour's round trip to the store where I was met by the manager Serena (the disinterested looking woman at the computers who acts like every request is a major burden). She refused to take responsibility for the mixup and even tried blaming us for trusting Linda did her job correctly. Ultimately they did issue the refund after collecting the sofa, but I will never shop here again. I will never recommend this place to anyone I know. Well I wish I could post a video of how these people act. The other reviewer is right on with the comment of the sales people huddle together and ignore customers. We were not greeted when we walked in, I passed 5 sales people not one said hello or anything else to me or my wife. I finally was able to flag down an associate to ask a question and they were condescending and acted like I was wasting their time. Regardless the answer was. All the couches sit the same way so there was no reason to test them all???? Who is this person?? The one person that I talked to was very unknowable about how the furniture was constructed. After weeks of looking at various styles of furniture, we ended up at Ashley's Furniture in Kenosha. Our sales person Cindy was patient and helpful with my husband and I as we looked around the showroom. We found a set we agreed on and then found i found it at a lower price elsewhere so I called Cindy and we talked about it-she then said she would talk to her manager to see if they could lower the price and and she would call me back. Within minutes I got a return phone call and we came to an agreement on the lower pricing. We ordered our furniture yesterday and it will be in our family room on 11/5/19. I wanted my furniture before Thanksgiving and Cindy made my request happen. read more

I bought a full bedroom and living room set. couch, coffee table, 2 end tables, tv stand/fireplace, bed, dresser x2, 2 night stands, and rug. The rug came a month after it was supposed too, the handles to the dresser where not threaded so I needed to order new ones. the coffee table didn't have feet on them. when they sent them it took 3 tries to get the correct feet. the couch had a broken arm. It has been nothing but issues and terrible customer service. read more

Store: Pam (Kenosha) did an awesome job taking care of my wife and I. She was insightful and passionate. Price: A bit pricy for quality, but Pam stuck to our budget and went over a bit, $325 over. Delivery: Pam quoted a week after the purchase, the delivery came in two weeks. Very disappointed! Especially when people plan their lives according to what their told. Customer Service (Phone): I know everyone hates to be transferred more than once, I was transferred more than five times! Get your crap straight! Really unprofessional over the phone until I called the Ashley store in Kenosha. If you are going to purchase furniture make sure you get the delivery date set in stone. read more

We drove to Kenosha from IL for the tax savings and were happy we did! The store is huge and clean with lots of variety. Salesperson Lisa S. was great to work with - very personable and knowledgeable. We were buying the same couch that she personally owns so she was especially helpful! Transaction and delivery was very quick - we had our new couches within 4 days! The store manager Steve was very friendly and helpful too. We are thrilled with our purchase and will be back in the future! read more

What a mess! Went in looking for a sofa and a twin bed. The "sales" person led us to the kids bed section, walking faster than my mother could keep up, and then promptly disappeared. We didn't find anything we liked so we started perusing the sofas. I found one of the ones I wanted to see on the website and was trying it out when she bothered to re-emerge. We asked about three other ones from the website and none of those were in the showroom. Fine. We meandered around while she glowered at us (my mother, my 4 year old, and myself), barely saying anything, never offering suggestions. I found a set I liked and so we were going to buy it. Next up- mattresses. I asked about those and she said the ones they had were in the kids section. We went to the mattress area anyway, with her leading very fast. We found one on its side that looked like it would be nice and I asked if my daughter could try it, she said sure but made no effect to help or indicate where I could lay it down. Finally got it out and down. My kid liked it. Fine. We'll take it too. Then I struggled to get the model put away with hardly any assistance. She takes my info and disappears. A few minutes later she comes back: the loveseat on the sofa set isn't available anymore and they can't get the sofa until middle of October. She couldn't tell me how much for just the sofa. Had to disappear again for awhile. Came back and said $350. Okay. We looked at the other one and discussed amongst ourselves while she glared. We decided to go for the 350... it's fine. Then to the ring up. She can't order it. It's not there. She disappears to talk to her manager about selling the floor model. Apparently they aren't able to sell the floor model even though they can't sell me a new one either. So we left buying nothing and a lot of wasted time. And the same sofa set is in their website. For sale. In stock. Delivery in 1-2 weeks. I'm pretty sure she was expecting us to settle and buy the more expensive sofa. Instead we left buying nothing. Taking my business elsewhere. Save your time!!!! Don't bother going to this hole. Looks nice but turns out they don't sell you anything! read more
