Called Ashley, got a computer, it advised 8 more weeks until delivery. That's four months from the date of purchase! Haven't even had a chance to test the warranty. Not hopeful. Never again. AWFUL customer service. I spend over $7,400K with a $500 "white glove" assembly and delivery fee. The bed platform was missing parts for the legs and the frame didn't line up therefore the bed couldn't be assembled. The delivery team said they would submit a tech request and I should be taken care of the following week; they never submitted the request. I happen to follow-up a few days later and submitted the request myself. New parts need ordered after waiting 8 weeks for the furniture, and now I have to wait another 4 weeks for parts. I called customer service numerous times for a delivery date and no one was able to help, the customer service manager was extremely rude and wasn't concerned about my problem in the least. At the time of the purchase the sales person said items were in stock and I would have items in 3 to 4 weeks. The furniture is going into a short-term rental unit. Due to the delay I have a loss of income which was to pay for the furniture purchase. In addition, my credit card was process before I walk out the door to prevent any stop payments which I'm sure has happened from other customers not receiving their goods after 3 months. The Ashley Furniture in Toledo provides horrible service and lies. First they talked us into a purchasing a 5 year protection plan in 2019. We were told it was a one year manufacturer warranty from 2019-2020 and then our 5 year extended plan (protection plan) is 2020-2025. We were told we couldn't make a claim to use our warranty credit until March of 2025. I called in 2024 to verify that I couldn't use the warranty credit and they verified that I have to wait until March of 2025 to use the credit. I even have the ladies name and extension number that verified this info to me in 2024. So, instead of trying to claim our credit in 2024, we waited until March of 2025. We went to the store in 2025 and chose a piece of furniture and proceeded to use our credit. We were told our credit was expired. When I provided all of the info we were given, the store associate (Meranda) told us she would try to use the credit and she would get back to us in a week to let us know our balance for payment. Two weeks went by and we heard nothing. I called her twice and left messages and I emailed her twice and received no response. I called the main number for Ashley and was told they would leave a message for the store to call me. Still nothing. After another two weeks went by and I filed a complaint with Ashely. I received a call from the Escalations Specialist and gave her the info. She called the number of the sales associate and she received a response from Meranda saying I wasn't called because the credit couldn't be used?????? What sense does that make??? So you don't respond to your customer and ignore them??? I would never recommend for anyone to go to this Ashley Furniture store. Take your business elsewhere where you will be treated better. Update: Today I went to the store and asked for a manager and the manager who travels to 7 stores, did apologize to us and she took some money off of our item we ordered for all the inconvenience. I submit the online claim form twice through their website (one week in between) and get no response. One week later I call the 800 number and actually open a claim and upload photos to a provided email address (I had already uploaded the photos 2 times on the website). 3 weeks later still no response. I have been trying to get my sleeper sofa repaired or really at this point just replaced. the frame of the bed fell out of the wood of the sofa itself. It is only held in with a big chuck of particle board, a 2x4 piece of real wood would work better. But the particle wood that is there is breaking apart and the couch clunks every time you sit on it. Now I have been told it will be two months before anyone can come and even look at it. It will be the same service tech that was out last time because they said they only have one tech for my area. She already knows it's falling apart because she had to use huge bolts to get the frame to stay last time. Just replace this huge hunk of junk please. read more

I bought a mattress one month ago. The service when purchasing is great but if you run into difficulties which I did, the customer service stinks. The store personnel forward me to the 800 number. My mattress smells like chemicals. It turns out [Ashley isn't alone] but there is something called off-gassing due to a VOCompound used for flame retardant. I can't use the mattress because of the smell. Also, I have issues because of age. I asked for the mattress to be returned and they said no. You bought it and it is in your home. Therefore it is yours. I asked that they swap it out with one on the showroom floor which as had time to air out and they will not. They want to bring a new mattress. I explained it would be the same issue in that after plastic taken off it would smell. No flexibility. It took a call from the store manager to get them out to check the mattress in February because they were scheduling it for April. I have aired it out for over a month and I still can smell the chemicals. When I was purchasing the mattress, I explained to the salesman, that I had brought two mattresses from another store [not Ashley] and they both had the chemical smell but they took them back without an issue. He assured me that wouldn't be the case. Less than 24 hrs after the delivery, I went to the store and explained having the same issue and the comment was, "I think I remember that being mention during training." I purchased the mattress pad they recommended because that would give me 90days warranty, but alas, that only allows for swapping out a new mattress. Lastly, the chatbot is so annoying and texting with an AI is beyond annoying. On top of that, although pleasant, the wait on the 800 calls was 30+ minutes. Terrible Customer Service, Experience, Grade F We placed our order in Jan 21'. We bought an adjustable bed, king mattress, and bedroom furniture set. After waiting and waiting Eight Months later in Sept. 21 and I was still waiting for my items. Every time we called the store about the delayed order it was nothing but excuses. Then, I was misled into agreeing to a "final delivery". What was delivered was incomplete- no mattress! Also, I was misled by the sales team into believing that the delivery people would know how to assemble the base and drawers. They didn't. So while this nightmare unfolded, I called Ashley to find out why our order was incomplete. We were told that the mattress was in backorder until October and that they have no answers regarding the bed drawers and adjusted bed. This was the first time they told us that the mattress was not being delivered. Besides the lunacy of not having a mattress delivered with the set, they had the audacity to call me a liar and say I agreed to it! At that point, we cancelled the order and requested our money back. The deliverers were very upset about the situation and damaged our walls. The whole experience was a NIGHTMARE !! No one should have to endure this. It was awful. Also, be aware that it is really hard to contact a live person after you buy any items because all the calls go through the warehouse in Bowling Green; they screen calls, and occasionally will transfer the calls to the store. Jim the store manager is the only shining star at the store. He should find another company because if they treat their customers this poorly it cannot be better for their employees. Finally, you never want to interact or deal with a manager named Jason in their BG warehouse. He is very unprofessional and has no customer service skills. Purchased a couch and chair with the power recline. Both cushions on each end of the couch are sinking (no one sits in them) and are about 2 inches lower than the middle section. I ordered a king bedroom set 1/9/2021. I was told 8-12 weeks for delivery. I have yet to receive my king bedframe at this time. Each time I call for an update the date is pushed back another 1-4 weeks (mindfully we made this purchase almost NINE months ago). I have asked if they are even still making this product anymore & am told they are. I have asked to speak to a manager multiple times and never receive a call back & am told "no one is available". The store told me there's nothing else they can do. I haven't received any money back because I cannot get anyone to return my calls. I finally had a scheduled delivery last week & they showed up without the product because it never came in. Horrible service in all departments! I recently moved and ordered over $2,000 worth of furniture on April 2nd. I was assured by Bob, who is a senior sales associate, everything would be delivered in 2 to 3 weeks at the latest. Now I'm being told that my furniture won't be delivered until May 14th?! Bob also promised me that I could have the floor room furniture until my permanent furniture arrived. Once again, he could not fulfill his promise and I'm left with nothing. Everything that I ordered is sitting in a warehouse 20 miles away and they can't deliver it. They won't even deliver me a mattress that I purchased. Ok I tried really hard to like Ashley Furniture but there are two reasons I will not buy from them again. Back in 2011 I purchased a Macie brown sofa with an over sized ottoman. After two years the Ottoman had an issue with the center button popping off. I had purchased the extra warranty for the furniture and when I called to have it fixed, the warranty company refused to help me and were very rude. I ended up calling Ashley Furniture and they were helpful and sent someone to my house to repair the Ottoman (hence the reason for two stars.) About a year after that, a friend sat on the sofa and you heard a wood Crack sound. From that point on, there was a big sag on the one side of the sofa. I flipped over the sofa and removed the black cover on the bottom. It was then I observed the shoddy workmanship with the sofa. I posted pictures here on yelp. One of the support beams on bottom of sofa was made up of two pieces of wood connected with a finger joint in the middle. This is where the beam failed and bent down. You can see this via the pictures. I looked at the beam on the right side of the sofa and it was a solid piece of wood. That side was still solid. Looking at the rest of the construction under the sofa you could see where several of the nails or staples holding the wood together was barely connected and some had even missed where they were supposed to be connected. This was not a cheap sofa or ottoman. I paid $600 for the sofa and $400 for the Ottoman. If I am going to receive this type of quality, I will go to one of the cheap furniture stores. I thought Ashley Furniture would be better but I was wrong. I will be forwarding these pictures and information to their corporate office. read more

We purchased a n extended warranty and were told by Forrest at the distribution center, who was extremely rude, that the warranty doesn't cover factory defects. I ordered a bedroom set and mattress at the beginning of September and was told that it should be delivered by mid to end of October, explaining that there is a delay because productions were shut down for COVID-19 for a time. In mid-October someone from Ashley called me saying that part of my order would be ready by the end of the month and the other part would ready by mid-November and wanted to know if we would like pieces delivered as they become ready. Fast forward to the last day of the month and I have heard nothing from them and decide to call. They are now "predicting" that my delivery won't be ready until December. Had to deal with manager for weeks to get her to reduce the price I had to pay. They said 3 weeks for delivery - it took 8!! Shop around before you shop here. I love my dresser. First I was told by the sales person(Missy) that my mattress would arrive in ten days...it will be 25 days before my delivery! When I spoke to someone about delivery they told me that it would be between 3-6. I requested after 4:15 so that I would not have to take off work. On Black Friday my mom had called the store in holland Ohio to order my daughter her big girl bedroom set for Christmas as a Santa gift. She was promised that it would be delivered the week of the 20th so she ordered it. ( my mom lives out of town and was helping me with my daughters Santa present) I then went into the store to look at the bedroom set and to buy her the mattress and foundation. I understood that the mattress wouldn't be here by Christmas, however I checked on the bedding and was told AGAIN that it would be delivered the week of the 20th. On the 20th I called and was told that the bedding was still in the warehouse is Wisconsin and wouldn't be here in time. I asked to speak to the manager and she offered me the floor sample and no money off because the price of the set was sold at wholesale (I find it very hard to believe that your store made no money off this purchase but that's neither here or there) I declined the floor sample for obvious reasons. She told me that we were never promised anything ( mind you, two different promises to two different people and we are not liars!), that it's just furniture, to print out a picture to give to her, offered to cancel the order. Never once was she apologetic or tried to figure anything out for us. Mind you, Wisconsin is four hours away. She could care less and had the worst customer service to both my mother and I and if this was my store I'd be downright embarrassed to have her representing me. Fast forward to today when the furniture is finally to be delivered between 10-1. I took my daughter to a babysitter so she wouldn't be here because it's from Santa, just late. I took apart her entire room and emptied it to make room and to help out the delivery drivers. Everything is in my room or the living room and she doesn't have a bed to sleep in. I get a call after 10 telling me that my furniture wouldn't fit in the truck and will not be delivered today. At this point I'm livid! What do I tell my daughter? Tomorrow is New Year's Eve and there is a kids ball drop at noon so it can't be delivered tomorrow. The manager in bg was super apologetic and understanding. She is throwing the mattress in with the bedding for me so everything is supposed to come next Friday. So for a week my daughter has no bed to sleep in, dresser drawers in my room, toys scattered and we are living in shambles for a week. How do I keep the magic in Santa going for her when Santa (Ashley furniture) keeps letting her down? Your manager in holland should have put a priority after all of her mess and made sure this furniture got out but I assume she doesn't care about her job or your stores reputation the way we were treated by her. I have been nothing but pleased with my sales person Kelley she has help me purchase several things for my home the latest being my new table to match other things that I have bought. Kelley is not a pushy salesman but one who will help you with your scheme and colors and tables end tables lamps Etc she is very helpful. Would not shop here. I walked in to window shop. I told the sales person what I was looking for and from the minute I told them they were trying to "write it up". Let's write it up they kept saying. I explained that I was simply shopping to see what I liked and what was in my price range. Let's write it up. You'll get the best prices now was all I ever got back from him. I explained again that I was not going to buy and told him the situation I was in. He said to me "do you know how many times I've heard that today?" Then I told him I wasn't making it up. The "manager" then comes over and tells me that I will get the best prices if I work with this gentleman now because he is straight from Ashleys corporate office or whatever and after he leaves then he will only be able to work on the price and won't be able to give me what this other guy could offer. I walked the whole store and never once did they talk about the quality of the furniture or ask if I had any styles in mind. They simply kept shoving price and pushed the sale down my throat. Really great place for furniture. We picked out the perfect couch from the Holland location. The employees were very helpful, but not clingy to customers. The warranty program is the absolute best. We are use our furniture will continue to look great for years to come. Only downside was delivery. Their hours were very restrictive and it took a long time to get our furniture in and at a time that I would've home. Overall, would definitely recommend and but from Ashley again. read more

Had no problems with the sales, but every time we called to track our purchase, they gave us a different date that it shipped and a different date it would be available for pick up, then they tell us they cant refund the money because the check we wrote was never cashed, when it was cashed the monday after we placed our order and have the bank statement showing that.
