    This was possibly the worst experience i have ever had in a retail setting. I will be contacting both the better business bureau and the state attorney general's office after posting this review for breach of contract. I purchased a sofa and two recliners the first week in February. I was told it would take 6 weeks for the delivery to come in due to covid. Fine. I had one recliner get delivered in late May; 12 weeks later. In late August, I got 2/3 of a sofa delivered. I was informed about the "partial delivery" aka unusable furniture until about an hour before the delivery truck arrived. Fast forward another month, and I stayed home from work to get the last piece of the couch. I have a high profile job and taking off work is extremely difficult. The installers NEVER SHOWED UP. I did not get a call, I did not get an email. I did not get a text. After waiting 2.5 hours on hold for customer care, I had to call the store 3x before I got a response. I had briefly spoken to **JORDAN** who stated he had no idea what happened to my order, but he would follow up. Well, he never followed up. After me leaving another voicemail, he called me back and stated that he still doesn't know what happened to my PROMISED FURNITURE that was scheduled to be delivered, but if we are lucky I might get it before Christmas. I have enclosed a picture of my partial couch and the transcript of the voicemail he left me. Legal action will ensue.

The one line winds you around and around until you stop at a place where you wait for one of the cashiers to call out that you are next. True, TJMaxx has a similar line, but at least they have an indicator that tells you which cashier you can go to. Depending on how busy the store is, you could be in the checkout line longer than the time you spent actually shopping.

Let's start from the…read morebeginning, where I found a dining room table that I was interested in purchasing, as a looked for an associate there is one right next to me with a scanner so I took over the information for her to scan to tell me where on the shelves I could find the item boxed up. She pointed out that the display table was the only one remaining. As I noticed a huge scratch crossed it I ask if there was a discount due to it being damaged. She informed me I needed to load the dining room table up, and take it to the front desk to ask them?!?! Are we serious? Therefore thanked her for her time and just walked away. Then through the huge store I encountered several other employees completely ignoring me, there was zero eye contact, or even a grin. Seems that the employees there are extremely miserable. What's up for the gentleman at the register which was very cheery, however, he didn't wrap my breakables OR offer me a bag for my items??? Oh, and the restrooms!!!! I noticed a large drip of menstrual blood right in front of the toilet.... And while washing my hands, I looked at the filth splattered up and down the walls, the baseboards were completely coated in filth! Just absolutely disgusting. Walmart's bathrooms were even cleaner than this. lol I recall years back visiting the Hilliard location when it first opened and they seemed to have higher quality items than they do now. Most everything in the store is cheap. China made junk at an elevated price. I'm sticking with HomeGoods, Marshalls, and TJ Maxx. And lastly, the parking lot.... I almost didn't even go into the store because they had several large shopping carts being swept around the parking lot with the high winds. Nobody wants their cars damaged. Bottom line, rude, unhelpful employees, high prices for low quality items, filthy disgusting restrooms.

I love IKEA!…read more I will add that the only downsides I see are that prices went up around COVID and haven't really come down much and the annoying shift to mostly self checkout. Plus, they discontinued the small IKEA Family member discount, which was a bummer. Customer Service is always good and employees are friendly. I do want to add the quality of furniture is not bad! I feel like it gets a bad rap. It's manufactured furniture but I feel it is decent quality and a wonderfully affordable option for all ages. My partner and I have purchased and assembled countless IKEA pieces. We have our couch (Sleeper sectional, 3 seat w/storage), kitchen table, recliner, desk, shoe cabinet, dresser, and floor lamps, to name a few of the larger purchaes. But we also love all the little items like storage crates, holiday décor, kitchenware, utensils, cups, mugs, clothes hangers, and rugs. IKEA just has it all and you can even grab lunch at the resturant! My favorite part is I love exploring the store and imaging the possibilities and seeing what I can find. Then most important the chairs were just poorly assembled. Most of the screws in every chair were not tight at all, some of the screws had the heads so mangled they can't be tightened. Clearly they only used power tools, and they just didn't care when they assembled them What really pissed me off was they were working on the dining room. They left their Milwaukee screw gun (that they mangled the heads with) on our new white sofa in the front room . You read that correct. They weren't even working in that room. Why would you set your tools on my new white sofa I haven't even sat on yet? I guess the anemic response from the manager was the worst part. I paid them good money to deliver and assemble. They did worse than not assemble, they damaged the heads. If you don't look elsewhere, prepare yourself to assemble yourself. Note to Haverty's -a small power screwdriver to spin them on is fine. Final tight should be with a manual allen wrench.
