I chatted (online text) with a rep and asked if I could come by and pick it up as I wanted to avoid their $299.95 shipping fee. He said sure, but the price would then be $538 (after discount)!! That's a $178 markup! He said they first had to ship it to their store. Well, how else does all their furniture get to their store?! Why would www.ashleyfurniture.com advertise an item where the customer would then have to pay a stocking fee?!! He claimed they were independently owned. And I guess that means you can forget what www.ashleyfurniture.com shows on their web site. To me, this is bizarre and does not help Ashley's otherwise good reputation. Brittney Morris and Amber Cain were the employees that sold me a sectional. I declined the furniture protection plan because I was aware it didn't cover pet scratches. Both of them convinced me to purchase it and reassured me it did and furniture protection companies "changed their policy." Which seemed like a red flag but they were very persistent on it and said they have plenty of customers that were covered for damages and pet scratches. Long story short, I called the protection company and they lied. The bad reviews you're seeing are all true. Shady business practice, took weeks to get the furniture and their customer service is horrible. Be cautious buying from this store. I bought a recliner online without sitting on it first. It's a beautiful chair, good price, well-made--but not comfortable for my body. I was able to return it and have been very happy with customer service and the delivery service. I will drive up to Cheyenne, WY (from Parker CO) to sit in a few chairs this time before I buy. If I could give lower then a zero, I would. Let me start out by saying, I did customer service for over 30 yrs, so I am very conscious of it where ever I go. In 2021, my husband and I bought a recliner there, for $400. After the 1st yr I thought it was my imagination, that the edges of the arms, were tearing. but it wasn't. Little by little, it started tearing, everywhere. On the arm on the right side is a big tear. But let me back up. About 10 months ago at least, I went back to the store w/the bill of sale and talked to a girl behind the desk. she looked up the chair we had bought and said..they no longer carry that brand, but if I wanted, they could order the material for that chair, which...we would pay for AND they could send someone out to fix it, which, we ALSO would pay for!!!! I was blown away..first of all, we were pretty nice because when we bought it, we bought it in April, but didn't get it till June or July because it had to come from "Wisconsin." And this was around covid time still, so we were patient and understanding..Then they charged us $80 to put it together, it took then about 30 seconds to do so!!! My husband and I are senior citizens..So I just went back again, last week. This time a "salesman" came up front to talk to me, basically his conversation was, "We're sorry, your just out of luck.." because he said that's why they discontinued carrying that brand of chair because the material it's made from does just that...tears!!!! and since we didn't buy "insurance to protect ourselves....oh well!!!!" I was absolutely in shock..this is terrible, terrible Customer Service...TERRIBLE...I'm 77 and my husband is 70. Why would be buy insurance. We don't have any kids, we had a dog that's also a senior citizen and can hardly get around and our pets never were allowed on furniture anyway..I told him the only reason we bought this chair was because we had another recliner from American Furniture and there really wasn't anything wrong with it, we'd just had it for 10 yrs or more and I just wanted a new recliner! This is a follow up from my review 6 days ago. I still don't have the bed support system. I've been sleeping on the floor waiting for Ashley to exercise some professionalism and customer service by getting in front of this instead of being reactive whenever I text their system. I've been texting and asking of the whereabouts of my parts. I was told 2 days ago that it was on a truck en route to Cheyenne from Washington and when I had to ask again, because nobody reaches out without a prompt , I was told it was in Wisconsin, which is 3 states east of Cheyenne. Nobody really knows what's going on and it's an excuse every time I contact them. I requested a call from the store manager and I did not receive one. I text again and another excuse of the manager being in and out of meetings all day. I don't want excuses, I want a solution. I will never shop here again. Nice staff. Products take FOREVER to arrive (talking months not weeks). Then when the furniture arrived they gave me a short notice on the delivery (less than 24 hour notice that I needed to be available at 10am the next morning). That doesn't work well for people who have to go in to the office to work... and certainly was not enough time to move out the old furnishings kept and used while waiting months to receive the new stuff. So morning after the delivery notice they showed up and delivered my new furniture to my home garage... although I had asked for in-home delivery and setup. When I contacted the sales office they told me that they only charged me for doorstep delivery so they wouldn't adjust the price I paid for delivery. So even though we arranged at time of purchase to have furniture delivered and assembled in the house... I was left holding the bag having to figure out how to get the heavy furniture inside and assembled. Not sure I'll buy from these guys again. read more

The owner tried to tell me that they contacted me regarding this, which is A LIE! He kept repeating that they're independently owned and there's nothing they can do. My husband and I stopped at the store last weekend to look. We are currently remodeling a room in our house and will be replacing some furniture. The guy who greeted us ant the door explained the deals, gave us a flyer, and said let him know if he can help us. I thanked him and we went on our way looking. This is where it got weird. As we were browsing the store, every couple minutes, he would show up and start talking to us. I politely would tell him we were just looking. Honestly, my husband and I wanted to look at different things and figure out what we liked and talk amongst ourselves. This sales person continued to follow us through the store asking some questions that I felt were a little personal. We mentioned we were in town for an appointment and he asked what kind of appointment. I thought that was strange. Then he asked what kind of car we drove. Needless to say we ended up rushing through the store not seeing everything we wanted to see because it was so strange that he would follow us into each section. It's been 3 months since my order and no indication when it will be delivered. Sales lady Angel told us that yeah, the furniture might take longer maybe 6 weeks or so. Maybe by end of August we can get our furniture. Now it's almost into October. Called Angel in September and still nothing. Wow...that's all I can say. For the public...this store is a franchise store, and if you mistakenly think that they can do ANYTHING for an online purchase, you'll find out the hard way. Went to purchase a mattress. They tell my husband they are out of stock at the local store. So we go online and order the mattress and the mattress protector, after which we hear that oops, they do have them in stock locally. Damn. So the 30 day comfort guarantee is what we are trying to utilize after finding the mattress too hard, and wanting to switch it out for the plush version. Bought it online, got to deal with online. Ugh. Spoke to Sarah at customer service who then told me that we needed to "donate the mattress, send a receipt to them, then we would get our refund and could then purchase a new one. No one wants a mattress it seems. Of course. Well we take the situation to the local store and they can't help bc it's an online purchase. However, they did find that the process of what we had to do to get our money back or exchange out was really odd. So, Yvonne said she would email her contact in corporate and contact us back. Nothing. A week later. Ridiculous. So, it looks like I'm going to have to wait till tomorrow to light some fires under some peeps up at Ashley's corporate office. I bought the Ollesburg table and chairs set plus a bench in May but didn't receive it until June. I chose Ashley's because I knew I would be ordering online with Covid and all and had only heard good things about them. Was happy with the table at first but then it started to get bubbles and anywhere you sit something it leaves a mark. Plates, drinks, a bowl of fruit . I ordered online so I emailed them they said since I had it way less than a year to donate it show proof that I donated it and they would send a new table and chair set. Sounded crazy to me sinse I was still paying for it so I called the 800 number and was told not to donate it because it was delivered from the Cheyenne, WY store. So I called the store and sent pictures and was told oh yes we will send you a new table and chairs so sorry about that. Only to be transferred to another person that said sorry you didn't buy the warranty and this item is discontinued. I said I have had it less than 6 months what about the 1 year warranty. But was told they could not help me. I ask to speak with a manager and was told she was busy and would call back. It has been months and I have heard nothing. I have sent several texts and still nothing. The table now has more bubbles and is breaking apart. Pieces are coming off. I made a point to get it paid off so I can buy another table set. So 24 hrs ago I bought a fabulous chair with fabulous sale price. Only I can't get for 6 weeks or so, because they don't have it in there warehouse. Such a great price I thought worth it. Next day I go online to see a picture of my fabulous chair and up pops AFW with my chair, same price, only they can delivery next week! I thought Ashley meant quality and service, reviews never lie. After reading the damage, switching of floor models for new, I'm thinking if I can't get full refund, might be worth it to avoid further delay and possible headache. The store reached out and said they are mailing me a check to refund the delivery fee and the couch was delivered this last Monday. While it was inconvenient to lose out on two days of work and about a week without a couch, I do appreciate they reached out with the offer to refund the cost of delivery. That goes a long way. We actually purchased a kitchen table, counter height, with 4 chairs on line. Good part is that it looked nice until we pushed the chairs in and it crushed the seat edge of another chair. Then chips started appearing on the table top. This must be a low-pressure laminate, not suitable for regularly used table. So we called and were on hold for over 15 minutes trying to get a new seat. Then another confusing wait as we were finally transferred to the On-line Ordering Department where they were happy to assist us and send out a new seat. Problem, though, it's over 5 weeks and still no seat in spite of many promises. (The phone number given on our receipt was for the store not the on-line department even though we ordered on-line). Another sales person arrived; couldn't price items because he didn't have good phone service. If you see a piece of furniture in the show, and say "I want to buy this" you will get a whole song and dance about how they have a distribution deal and there is a wait time. They are often on street corners with signs that say "Store Closing Sale" for a store that apparently closing somewhere else. It's deceptive marketing. I miss Grier furniture where you would pick something, and it'd be delivered THAT day. I believe Clure Furniture still runs this way. read more

The only positive is that they price match. We were told after we bought the couch (floor model) that it needed to be picked up the next day, as they "didn't have room to store it." They said if we came at 11:00 it would be shrink wrapped and ready to go. We arrived at 1:50 p.m. and they finally loaded us at 3:00. While there are some staff members that are courteous and attentive, myself and I had already begun dealing with Judy before we met any of them. Overly pushy and calling at all hours, lying to me about agreements her and my wife had made to try to get me into the store earlier than I wanted to. I hated dealing with her but when we went in to finalize the contract she had already had all the paperwork completed before being told that we were in fact going to purchase the items so we ended up having to deal with her. Any advertisements you may see online or on TV are not recognized at this store, including the military discount you can get an ad for on the Ashley's website. But that's ok becuase their merchandise is "heavily discounted" and they "only make about a 20% markup at best". The price of the furniture is good I will admit that and the last Ashley's bed we bought in Texas lasted over 5 years and would have lasted longer if not for a few accidents that ruined the frame. Product is good but what is your time and annoyance worth? Would definitely recommend shopping anywhere else, even if it takes a while to find a similar deal it would be better than having to walk in this store. read more

I have been waiting over a month for 'delivery' supposedly the item was in store, i specifically asked if they delivered on saturday, they said yes, no problem. I have since been told, no i would need to take time off work, as they only deliver on saturdays 'when we are in the area'. this week i called in and they said they had lost my phone number and email and had no way to get ahold of me and were apparently going to leave it at that. I have always had a great experience with Ashley Furniture. I've gotten the majority of my furniture through out my life from them. Unfortunately, I ordered all of my bedroom furniture (4 pieces of furniture) from them when I moved 4 months ago and still nothing has arrived. I know things are difficult right now because of Covid this is just extremely disappointing. I wouldn't order furniture right now from them unless you want it arriving in 2021. They have been nice and keep letting me know each time the delivery date has been delayed but it still doesn't seem enough for what I have paid. read more

I wish I could say my order did not arrive without issues, however, the President and Owner of this local Cheyenne store, Daniel Schmidt couldn't have handled them in a more professional, respectful and diligent manner. I ordered online through corporate, so Cheyenne only handles the Home Delivery, so it makes it tough communicating between the two and tough for the local store with logistics. I bet if I went in the store personally and ordered...it would have been a completely different story. Dan contacted me personally after finding out and had his office manager Brittany step in when I couldn't get help from corporate. He implemented corrective action steps and communicated every step of the way to ensure I was taken care of and compensated and corrected the issues. Daniel's empathy and actions were a breath of fresh air for a business owner who didn't have to "dive into the weeds" for a consumer. It shows he truly cares about his customers and is dedicated to getting it right for us while ensuring his teams (both sales, delivery and customer service) do the same. Even though we had a few challenges, I understand that happens, we are all human....either way, Daniel handled it as a teaching lesson for his teams and his communicating with me personally to rectify the problems I had was commendable. Daniel helped to ease several issues we had and followed through with EXACTLY what he said he would do. That is rare, and in this day and age, that is extremely hard to come by. This place is a JOKE. We drove from Colorado to this Wyoming location to make a large purchase - a complete dining set & large sectional. What we got was a nightmare. First, the dining set wouldn't even be delivered to our home until 1 month after our initial purchase. When our sectional got to our house, it was completely destroyed, almost every piece was soiled. That disgusting couch sat in my living room until a second couch got delivered a month later, but only to replaced by yet another dirty couch. I had to make several call to this store to speak with the manager. Once he actually took my call, the only option I was given was to take a gable with yet a 3rd delivery (with no prediction of how far out that would be, or guarantee if the couch would be clean) or Ashley could come get the couch and provide a refund. I was told once the couch got back to Ashley I would receive a phone call that would provide me with the details of my refund. That was a week ago and I haven't heard from them since. Buyer beware. Our entire home has been furnished with Ashley, but we will never look at this brand the same after this experience. read more

This store is great at taking your money, but horrible at the follow through and customer service. I called this store after looking at the items at AFW. I was told I would be able to get my order faster and they would price match, so I ordered through Ashley. I was promised I would have part of my furniture by the end of July, but the rest would come in August. Since we were having a family reunion I said I would like to pay for two deliveries so I could get the main part sooner and then the other when it got here. Toward the end of July, I called for an update of what day to expect it. When I called they said there wasn't anything scheduled and the soonest I would get it was August. How disappointing. That's when all the delivery notifications came pouring in, so it was obvious they forgot to schedule it. My sales rep told me that's just the soonest they could get it to me, but she's the one that promised July. After talking with a manager who confirmed they dropped the ball and she would figure out how to make it up to me, I received a text saying the owner was able to fit me in on 7/28. Awesome, it would be here in time and they made it up to me! 7/28 came and at 3pm I had not heard a timeframe for delivery, so I called and they told me I'm not scheduled until August. So, they dropped the ball again. I received a text from my sales rep that said it's meant to be bc my other piece will be here and I can have my second delivery fee back. Isn't that so nice of them?? I responded that of course, if I'm not paying for two deliveries, why wouldn't you refund? No apologies or explanation of what happened. So,I won't have my main piece I need by when i need it or when promised. I've called and left messages for the owner and the manager, but the only communication I get is via text from my sales rep. Seems like they avoid talking to a human being if they might be upset with them. It's too late to enjoy my furniture with my family this weekend, but I'm hoping everything will at least arrive in good shape. If I could give this store negative stars, I would. There isn't enough room on this page for me to detail all the ways this store has failed us. In short, we ordered an entertainment center six months ago. It was back ordered and WE had to follow up with the store for months to get it delivered. When it was delivered, it was dropped off without pegs to insert the shelves and with a piece broken off from the side. It took us another two months and several phone calls and empty promises from the manager, Dan, to get another model delivered...which was also broken and the delivery guys scratched our wood floors as they were moving it. I worked at the Cheyenne store about four years ago and quit mid delivery because of the managements unacceptable ethics when it came to customer service. As a delivery driver, I was told by customers that sales, and management both consistently blamed the drivers and warehouse workers for damages or messed up orders. it started when a couple purchased a $3000 dollar sectional NEW. mind you, we do not know the details of the order, only where and what we are delivering. I was told to deliver a reduced price floor model that had wear and tear to the customer- who was shocked at the floor model stickers and price tag still on the items. The customer told me they paid full price and did not agree to a used floor model. when I called my manager about this, I got yelled at for not removing the tag and lying to her about it. the day I quit, it was pouring rain in Denver. I had two reschedules for later that day- and both were more than 15 piece deliveries. my co-driver and I called management to ask what they wanted done as we couldn't unload furniture in rain for any subsequent stops (with a full height truck with no working ramp or lift gate) the store GM demanded we go to our third stop and unload the first two stops outside to get to the customers items. rather than ruin thousands of dollars worth of furniture, we argued. eventually we just turned around and went back to Cheyenne, where myself and my coworker quit immediately. it still bothers me that a company with great, hard working employees is tarnished by the actions of a few managers whom often directed us to deliver broken goods, lie, and made our jobs as inconvenient as possible by telling customers that everything was our fault. there are good people there- but the bad are the ones running the show. read more

Had a great experience with sales lady Judy on the sale and she continuously kept me updated for that I would give her a 5 star but when i had my couch and chair delivered on March 15 the furniture and house was damaged spoke with delivery men about it and they shrugged it off. contacted angelo in operations to get resolved asked me to send photos to evaluate and call me back next morning. Ended up having to call him back told me he would call me Monday to schedule tech to house. Never called I had to call him. Called Monday afternoon to find out he scheduled to have day off weeks ago. Left message no call back again. Call Wednesday he told us tech was having issues and again would call us friday but never did. Called him Monday to set up appointment. Never heard from him called Wednesday just to get voice mail again. Called again Thursday he told us his tech would come by Friday after 4. Sat around house all evening Friday and tech never showed. Called at 645 to see what happened and he informed me the tech was still out so he would call tech and see what is going on and call me but guess what never called me back. Each time I spoke with me he would get more and more annoyed and unpleasant to me. We were looking at a new bed but due to this we will be going else where read more

Excellent work with Larry as far as the buying experience went, then came the product. First Delivery (September): arrived at 8pm for 1-5pm window with no phone call. bedroom set cracked, dining room table scratched, leather love seat and sofa tears in leather; bent mechanism on sofa (lenoris collection, supposedly one of the most expensive). Second delivery (October): leather love seat and sofa tears in leather. Third Delivery (November): Leather love seat broken mechanism. Fourth delivery (December): attempted to fix reclining mechanism in love seat, did not resolve problem. Fifth delivery (end of February): love seat leather torn. After 6 months I have requested a full refund. Will see what happens. The only saving grace has been working with Brittany in customer service. Every time there was a screw up the store blames it on the warehouse and that its damaged in shipping to them. Total garbage that they can't check their products before home delivery instead of wasting people's time. Now I'm stuck with an Ashley furniture card and financing I will never use due to poor product. read more

Mostly disappointing, one star for great delivery team. We purchased three pieces back in May from working with Judy. After completing the transaction we were told that one item (sectional couch) was five weeks out (it would have been nice to know that prior to signing paperwork). The dining room table was scheduled and delivered within a week. The kitchen cart, was going to be delivered with the couch. They need special management approval to make two delivery trips at no extra charge. I didn't think this would be an issue especially since it was on them that the sectional was five weeks out. Delivery of the table was a great experience. Daniel and Marcus setup the table and chairs and did a great job. They were quick, courteous, and highly professional! When 4.5 weeks was done, we got a call that the sectional was in. They scheduled a delivery time. The night before, we get a call from Breck (Sales Manager). The section was somehow damaged and irreparable. They wanted to know if we wanted half of it. They thought they could have the full thing delivered in about a week. After thinking about it that night and looking elsewhere, we found the SAME section at American Furniture Warehouse (AFW). I called Breck with Ashley Furniture and they were unable to expedite a new undamaged couch. I told him that AFW has the same couch and can get it to us faster, he did want to keep our business but had nothing further to offer. AFW was able to deliver it within two days. It was $3.00 (three dollars) more expensive, but they have lots of coupons and we used a $25 off coupon, which made it less expensive then Ashley Furniture. They had it delivered within two days (ordered on Saturday night, delivered Monday morning). While we wanted to keep our business in Wyoming, there were too many issues and they didn't seem to care to go the extra mile, unfortunately. Next time, we will just start at AFW. read more

On August 2018 I bought a new dining room table. I noticed two out of the four legs started to crack and called on February 7th. On February 16th someone came out took pictures and said they would try to find new legs for the table. I called the last week of February to ask for an update. Long story short I was not able to get an update on the leg replacements. I called about 3-4 times within a three week period. Finally yesterday March 19th I went in to talk about the table legs. Yes, a WHOLE MONTH passed by before I finally went in. While I waited to be assisted I saw the exact same table I had at home on the floor. It ALSO had the cracks down the legs. When I saw that I knew I no longer wanted new table legs. I just wanted to return it. When I finally talked to an assistant I told him everything that went on and he confirmed it since it was in their system that I had someone come to our house and phone calls. I told him how I changed my mind and no longer wanted the table. He went to talk to someone in the back and he let me know legs were ordered (they were ordered while he was back there not in February). Yes, he ordered legs I no longer wanted. It was a hassle to have them understand I no longer wanted the legs or table at this point since the floor table had the cracks I knew that the material isn't the best. I was mostly disappointed on the lack of communication and respect I received for wanting what I paid for. read more
