Terrible Customer Service and product. When I spend good money on something I expect to get what I pay for. We purchased an expensive sectional from Ashley Furniture on Manchester and came to find out they charge for delivery (this is not the point of the post, but I will use Carol House Furniture which offers free delivery going forward). Rather than pay their $180 charge, I took a half day off work and rented a trailer from a friend to pick up the furniture. Upon arrival at my home and unboxing we found there were no screw holes in the sectional for the legs to screw into. When I called Ashley to discuss the issue, their customer service was far from helpful and seemed to careless. They informed me that since I chose to pick up (rather than pay their delivery fee) it was my responsibility to pay for a tech to come fix or drive back to them for fixing at the warehouse (when I asked them how I'm supposed to drive it back now that it's been unpackaged they had no response). This was all after the sales rep in store assured us that Ashley would take care of any issues that may arise within 48 hrs in what now appears as an apparent attempt to just close the sale. This is the worst customer I've ever received in my life, especially when talking about a $1500+ purchase. This company puts their mistake and defunct product on the customers shoulders to fix. I would highly advise anyone and everyone to stay away from doing business here and consider other furniture store options in the area read more

Per my friend, who had a terrible experience. Do NOT recommend! My fiancé and I purchased a desk from Ashley and were told we would get a 30 minute heads up when they were on the way. Instead they gave me a 10 minute warning, which isn't the issue in itself as I was only 10 minutes away. What the issue is, is the disrespect and the lack of customer service that made me feel very uneasy. It's winter, 36 degrees, and heavily raining. I get home to the Ashley truck blocking my driveway so I had to the park down the street. Still not the biggest concern. As I'm walking up my driveway with my toddler in the pouring rain, a man yells "you need to get in here", meaning, do I need to access my driveway. So I replied "i did, but not anymore". As I get in the garage he says to the other delivery man "she's got an attitude". I then proceeded to ask for their supervisors card and went in to put my child inside, immediately as I turn around to go back out to my driveway they sped away in their truck and WITHOUT delivering my desk. I cannot believe the disrespect by the men delivering my purchase, not to mention the audacity for the woman on the phone to tell me I won't be getting my money back. What is customer service these days? Never again spending my money at such a disrespectful company. I'll be sure to spread the word as well. This all happened Wednesday and I have yet to receive a call back regarding it! Terrible customer service! read more

The level of customer service is absolutely pathetic. They came out to deliver and set up our table and did not have all the parts. They left telling me someone would call me and of course no one called. I called over and over until I finally got through to someone. I was put on hold for over a half our after I asked to speak to a supervisor and then was hung up on. I was on the phone for over an hour trying to find out if they were going to take care of the problem. I am now again on the phone again with a different person and once again put on hold. I told them I would rather have a refund and they told me that I could not since they left the things in my kitchen disassembled. They did not deliver all of the product as stated in the agreement. I am now being told that they have no record of me calling even though the rep told me the call was being recorded. If I was anyone wanting to do business with this company I would definitely go somewhere else. Don't waste your time or money because in the end they only care about the transaction. If I would have known that the service would have been like this I would have gone somewhere else. Make sure you read all the other piss poor reviews about the level of service that comes from this company. read more

We bought our furniture from West County location at the end of May but I waited till August to write my review since I wanted to test out the furniture fully! We worked with Otto Hope. He was a delight to work and talk with. What we liked best about Ashley is, no matter how small a purchase you make, they have enough representatives to help you and give you their full attention. But they never irritate you by trying to sell their product. They are always around the corner to answer your questions or show you more stuff when you want to. The furniture was really classy and although the sofa is buckled up since it was very cheap, we are satisfied with the design. The wood is high quality. And make sure that you buy their insurance, it's one of the best in the market and you get the entire amount credited for your next purchase if you do not use the insurance at all. Lastly, we probably would have continued our furniture hunt in another cheaper store had it not been for Otto. He was new at the time we made the purchase but he was soooo helpful and treated us like family with all his tips and smiling face! read more

I bought their queen roll slats on May 9. Delivery was quick and I received it on May 13. Understanding that I have to return it in 72 hours if it does not fit, I tried it on my bed frame and it is 1/4 inch too width. On May 15, I called to return it and the lady told me to wait for their instructions on when will they come to pick it up since I cannot return it to their store. I waited and on May 23, I called again. Then again on May 27 and June 1, altogether 3 times. In all 3 calls, I was told to wait in line as there were too many calls. But after 15 minutes, it automatically transferred me to a voice mail and I had to leave a message. I did each time but nobody ever call me back. I am frustrated and believe that Ashley simply does not want to take the product back. Very poor customer services. Don't buy from their on-line store. read more

When my wife and I first arrived we were greeted by David with a warm welcome. The first thing he did after introducing himself was letting us know he wasn't going to follow us around and give us space to find what we liked; but still be nearby to answer questions for us. Which I really appreciate when it comes to shopping I like to be left alone to browse and speak to my wife without being hounded every 5 mins. We ended up finding a new kitchen table that we had been looking for after visiting at least 5 other stores. David quickly helped us with all of our questions and helped get everything we needed ordered. He did a great job providing us with detailed information about delivery and warranty options. Glad we decided to make one more stop that day to find a company who really values their customers. read more

Best experience working with Trey @ the Ashley Homestore West County/Manchester location. Our daughter purchased her very first couch/sectional for their new apartment. We shopped around a lot and got the best deal with Ashley and their selection was outstanding. Quality piece built to last. Just beautiful. Trey (in the lab coat) was the best salesperson we encountered out of all the stores. He let you be in your own space and enjoy looking - but was available & so personable as needed. He did not crowd you & let you be. He was so accommodating & knowledgeable. Every store needs a "trey"! Ask for the great guy in the lab coat! Trey was the BEST. read more

ARE YOU KIDDING ME... I will never buy from Ashley's again. Not b/c of bad product, but b/c of very poor service and delivery.... Put it this way, I have spent THOUSANDS of dollars on a bedroom set and it has been over a month and I am still sleeping on the ground b/c they have not put my furniture together. Oh by the way, they have now been out to my house, not only once, but twice and they still can't get it together. It's excuse after excuse and don't worry you will still have to make constant phone calls b/c they don't call you like they say they are going to... I would just go somewhere different!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! read more

We were not actually looking to purchase anything tonight just wanted to walk around and get an idea of what we would want. After walking the store and sitting on almost every couch they had we found one that we just could not pass up for the price! Roxanne walked the store with us and was available to answer any question we came up with but she also kept her distance and gave us room to browse and see all the different options. The check out process was just as smooth and I would recommend this place to anyone looking for any furniture. This was the west county slt location in ballwin. read more

Bonnie at the West County store is the reason this review gets five stars! We pre-shopped several times before we bought because we were moving and she was patient and kind each time, understanding why we weren't buying each time. When it came time to buy, Bonnie was so friendly and helpful. She remembered us from our previous visits and even asked how the move went. The buying process was quick and easy, thanks to Bonnie. We are shopping for a headboard for our daughter next and guess where we are going first? That's right! Bonnie at the West County Store! read more

I went to visit the Ashley store on Friday night after hitting multiple places. I was looking for a couch. I was not bothered by the sales people as I went and tried out multiple couches. After a nice chat with the manager about what they had. I came back the next day, kicked off my shoes, and curled up on multiple couches to try them out. The manager helped me find prices and options on the two I was looking at. And then I bought one. Even though it was quittting time, the staff were very helpful and friendly. And I get my couch this weekend! read more

I have shopped several furniture stores in the past. But Ashley Furniture out surpasses all of them. With a large selection of invitory and very competive prices. But that is not all. The customer service is what pulls you in. You are greeted with a smile upon arriving. And my salesmen Joel could not have more helpful and personable. He made shopping for furniture fun instead of frustrating. It was a very good experience and I highly recommend Ashley furniture for your home needs. Thank you. read more

I had a great experience at Ashley HomeStore. I walked in and received help right away. The salesperson (Carrie Alexander) was personable, pleasant, patient, knowledgeable, and very helpful. After showing me several couches and considering my budget and personal taste, I found an inexpensive couch in the right color and for the right price! The entire process was seamless and hassle free. I will definitely purchase my next furniture piece from Ashley HomeStore. read more

I had a great experience inside the West County STL Ashley Homestore. When we first walked in Mellysa asked had we ever being at the store and what did we have in mind. We were looking for round tables for our living room. She showed us about five different types. Once we explained our budget, she narrowed it down and we made a decision. She setup the delivery time and date. We walked out of Ashley's feeling great. Thank you for all your help. read more

I went to Ashley's looking for a specific recliner to match my sofa. The manager knew exactly where it was located in the store, which I appreciated. My sales person, Becky, was very nice and explained the features of the recliner. As I sat in the chair she had me try the different reclining positions so I could experience the comfort myself. It was perfect! Needles to say I purchased the recliner. I can't wait for delivery. read more

This was my first experience with Ashley and it was a great one. I bought new living room furniture and had my disabled father with me to test it for his comfort and ease of getting up and down. Kyle was our salesman and he was awesome and very accommodating and sensitive to my dad. For someone who hates to shop, my dad loved the shopping experience. Even the people at customer service for payment were wonderful. I'll be back!! read more

I went to Ashley Furniture in West County STL yesterday and bought a kitchen table and chairs from them. Brent showed us all the counter height tables and chairs and was a pleasure to work with as was the manager. I have not received it yet so can't review the delivery and set up yet but will update my review after I do. I would highly recommend Ashley HomeStore, they have a great selection and are so nice to work with. read more
