Spent over $1000 on a chair. Horrible chair -we've had nothing but problems with it. Even worse customer service. And this is with the warranty. Aside from the boxes that they shipped to our house for the service people to repair waiting in our living room for two +months, we still have unresolvable problem with the chair . Corporate customer service says they have to exhaust every option to fixing the chair before we could get a refund. It hasn't even been one year and I've yet to enjoy this chair longer than a few weeks at a time. they don't seem to know how to make it right. As of today, they will not refund . A refund is how I think they could make it right. Now we have to wait five days for the service report to go to corporate so they can decide the next round of repairs. My one kitchen table chair came to us damaged. Actually, more than on and the people who delivered it fixed one of the chairs with a black marker. Anyways, I had the delivery people take back my one chair that was chipped on the seat or the chair. I never heard from Ashley furniture after my return. One month later and my so called chair is being repaired and longer delivery in sight??? I wanted a new chair chair and they told me no it just needed a repair. I am still waiting on my repaired chair after more than a month and never will I order from them again. I ordered a new couch and recliner and a new kitchen set. Unbelievably unhappy. Never again. Recently went in to buy a mattress and did just that. Friendly sales lady, Raychelle, helped me and everything went smoothly. Delivery was great and within the time frame communicated originally. I don't know what the other complaints are about with this store. This review is for their deceptive pricing, delivery, and customer service -- not for the furniture itself. My wife and I bought our daughter a living room set as a college graduation gift. We knew what we wanted and when arriving at the set we wanted, we noticed the prices for each item was $75-$125 higher than listed on their website. Sales associates seem to be trained NOT to mention the price discrepancies unless a customer brings it up. Then they will take you to a computer and match prices. [Nice... but why don't they just have the same prices everywhere?] Our biggest issue was with their expensive delivery service... and their complete lack of understanding and resolution when they goof it up. They called the wrong phone number when they arrived at our daughter's apartment building, so we never knew they were there. They refused to come back anytime that day -- or even that week -- instead, offering a delivery day 8 days later. After several conversations with customer service, the final answer was that they simply couldn't refund the delivery fee because -- get this! -- would eventually be getting the furniture! If anyone from Ashley reads this, I'd love a conversation with you, as I was able to get absolutely nowhere the three times I tried to resolve this. We were there recently for a quick visit to browse their sofa collection as we needed a matching three seater leather sofa. At the reception, one agent immediately greeted us and came to walk us through the store. She asked us what we were looking for and after that all I remember is her talking and talking and more talking. She talked so much and not even gave us a chance to let her know that we have a limited time and are on a quick visit that day. She was warm and friendly which was nice and we dint want to be rude and interrupt her when she was talking; although we did show that we are on a bit of rush. She really needed to give her customers some space. They have good products and good quality too. I may return because of their wide range of beautiful collections but probably not again if I'm being bombarded with another agent. read more

O NOT BUY HERE!!!!!!My sister and her husband went in and purchased a full bedroom set... bed, dresser, mattress, the works for thousands of dollars. Well today was delivery day. Let's start with the delivery guys were modern day Cheech and Chong stoners. They brought in the furniture and then looked utterly confused and asked "um did you order a mattress?" When Alli answered yes they said well we have your furniture and not your mattress. She asked them to check and they responded the computer system at Ashley's is down. The irony of that statement is THREE WEEKS AGO when they went in to purchase the bedroom set were told the computer systems were down then too and all orders went through one store. How on earth does it take 3 weeks to solve this problem???? It doesn't take NASA computer engineers to solve this, this is a problem easily handled by a first year computer science major. When her husband went in to complain seeing as the customer service line is non existent and no one answers was told a common they had no record of a mattress being ordered. When he stated he was so frustrated he wanted a refund he was told the standard answer "there are no refunds" he then demanded a bed, when they finally relented and gave him a temp bed which was substandard to what they purchased they didn't even help him load it into his truck, this is unacceptable. What Ashley furniture doesn't realize is they have a legally binding contract complete with an offer, consideration and acceptance which is in the purchase agreement. That agreement was breached for services not rendered. Now I'm SURE the generic response will be issued with "give us an opportunity to fix this" followed but the number to text or email. This is unacceptable. A more plausible route I suggested was a chargeback to the merchant for fraud and services not rendered. A compromised can be reached in the form of a HIGH discount. Classic "you get what you pay for"! We bought three rooms worth of furniture for $4,000. That was two months ago. Couch cushions already failing. Fabric that was "pet proof" has been scratched through at on point. Bedroom stuff so flimsy I'm concerned what will happen to it if/when it's moved. What do we need to do to get our refund from canceling 5wks ago? I will be leaving horrible reviews on every platform including the BBB. HORRIBLE customer service! Nobody answers the phone, if you do actually get through you are on hold for at least 30 mins or more. Even started texting with the store manager who gave us her personal cell and each time she states "she will look into it," with no response. You have to physically go into the store to only get the run around. Delivery dates are a joke. You will receive a text to confirm a day and they don't show up! And then YOU have to call them! To only be told a different story, date, time, etc. After reading all of the complaints and issues, I don't understand how this company is still in business. We ordered a furniture set for my daughter on December 1st. It's now January 16th the truck finally showed up but with less than half of the order loaded in the truck. I was told it would take another week to get the rest of the furniture out from a warehouse 45 min away and that they could only refund up to $75. If I could give the store zero stars I would. Went in yesterday looking for a new couch and was rudely greeted by one of the sales representatives. She was extremely condescending, judgemental and finally dismissive when she found out that she wasn't going to receive a high commission like she hoped she would get. I was judged on my looks, my clothing and the fact that I had my two children in tow. After the extremely distasteful encounter I approached another sales lady and informed her of her colleagues behavior. She didn't really seem that concerned. One of the worst experiences I have ever had. Not only do the sales people have limited knowledge but the pricing is deceptive. I had found a side table online and I went to see it in the store. When I inquired the price- it was $150-175 higher than it was online on the Ashley website. The sales person proceeds to tell me that it is normal and most people don't check the website first. Seems deceptive. I purchased the table and asked 3-5 times if I could cancel or return without any issue or fee. The sales person told me yes every time. They have me the ship date of nearly 2 months out from the purchase date. This is for one side table! I decided after a week and a half that I would go another route and called to cancel. After 30 min on hold, the corporate office informed me there was a cancellation fee of 12%. The store told me something incorrect to get the sale and then the office did not honor it. I recommend avoiding if you wish to keep your sanity and want to have a pleasant shopping experience that does not include being followed around by sales people. read more

My husband and I stopped in this store looking for a 2 tv stands We were "attacked" one step into the store. After a couple minutes of walking around she took us to a computer/tv screen to look at other options. We had a question... she was going to find an answer... so we stayed at the computer only to see her walk about 20 feet and hug a gentleman that had just walked into the store. We didn't think anything about it till 10 minutes later we were still standing there. Alone. We inquired about Dee and saw her across the store with the other gentleman. Gave Ashley a 1 because they did have some very nice things...actually a 4 on product: but then again no one would read this review. My husband and I were in 5 months ago. One of those quick trips to buy furniture for a flip that we sold as furnished. We were in work clothes. The sales staff was swamped; EXCEPT for what appeared to be a manager pompously walking rapidly around the sales floor. The "suit" assisted the sales staff occassionally, yet I think that his strong point was ignoring, as in, looking the other way, when passing the other unassisted 5 or 6 people on the sales floor. We picked out about 8k in furniture. After doing everything to get the attention of the ONLY employee not busy (aka Mr SUIT) to NO AVAIL..we left. Fast forward to this past week. My elderly in laws, shopping for a couple of recliners, were treated rudely by a female manager whom, without qualifying their shopping intention, immediately pitched Ashley financing. Both of them explained that they don't need financing because they had cash to buy "now"; at which time, the manager walked away. I completely understand corporate renumeration associated with financing. I also understand the importance of taking 30 seconds to greet & understand customers. The Worst Service Ever: I-10 West in San Antonio Store I ordered a sleigh bed and other North Shore Bedroom furniture in 8.2021. I was told that I would get the bed first and the furniture would follow in 3 weeks to 1 month. When I did not get my furniture, I called and caught hell getting to someone on the phone. I went into the office and the salesman told me it would be in late Nov. or 1st week of Dec., but that did not happen either. When some pieces were delivered, the technician refused to put them together. By now I had missed 4 days of work waiting for a delivery and the complication of getting FURNITURE put together. Finally, my bed frame and rails came in Feb 2022. The technicians put one side together and never secured the other side of my footboard. I call 3 (March 2021) weeks ago for service to get it fixed and customer service told me, "I will put in an order for parts and they will arrive in 10 days", parts then a service technician could come to my home. I was told after I received the parts then I needed to call back to have a serviceman come out. As of today 4.11.22, I have not received anything. Today I called, and asked to speak to an Mgr., who was busy couldn't take my call. Today a customer service lady stated she made an appt. for someone to contact me on 4.12.2022, not to check it out, but just call me. Furthermore, I was told my parts would not be in until May of 2022. In total it took 15 calls to the store, 10 calls to Delivery, and 3 visits to the store before I could get answers and delivery dates for my furniture. Now I am trying to get my footboard fixed that was half put together or has dry rotten particles. Ashley Furniture has some nice looking furniture, but the Worst Customer Service I have seen in 67 years. It just doesn't make sense. Worst experience purchasing furniture ever! I would not recommend any friends, family, or anyone purchase from Ashley furniture. I ordered a bedroom set in February of 2020. It was scheduled for delivery in March 2020. I was called the day of delivery that the set was on back order and that delivery would be re-scheduled. fast forward: CORONA VIRUS...No delivery due to store closing. Finally I was called in May to schedule delivery of bedroom set. When the delivery came, it was only the bed. No dresser. No end tables. I was NEVER called informing that this will be a partial delivery. No date given for delivery of other pieces. Here we are in MAY and still no complete purchase deliver. To top it off, I have two pending charges on my credit card and Ashley, nor Synchrony bank, can rectify the issue. I'm simply amazed that this place is still open. The shopping experience was good but forget about actually getting what you payed for. My wife and I purchased a couch that is yet to be deliver back in March. I totally understand the Covid thing but why have someone call us and change the delivery date because they don't have the entire couch. Then call back before the second delivery to reschedule and still a no show. We called back a few weeks later to see if the couch was in. I find it necessary to write you this letter about our terrible experience in your Avon, Ohio store we came into the store interested in looking for a Tempurpedic mattress, myself and my wife walked in and we went to the mattress and then we where meet by a salesman, at this point I don't find it necessary to mention names but I do have all that information if you need it. We discussed several features about the mattress and we discussed the 90 night option, at no point did your salesman mention to us or explain to us the full explanation of the details of this sales promotion, we thought that this was a way for us to find out if the tempurpedic mattress was the right one for us The discussion proceeded to the point that we decided to make this purchase, as we proceeded to the front desk to finalize this major purchase(2 xl twin mattress $2499.00 a piece)again never mentioning the restrictions on this deal, and how we where LOCKED in on this deal now if we did not like the mattress THEY WOULD NOT REFUND OUR MONEY. I ordered a dining set and sectional sofa from this store in June. At that time the sales department told me end of July of delivery. Then it was August 9, then August 15, then August 23 and now it's August 27 maybe. I will never get one piece of furniture from Ashley's. I told representative that if I don't have a delivery date by August 27 I would like a refund so I can purchase furniture so I can sit on something beside the floor. My husband and I purchased close to $7,000 worth of dining room and living room furniture. We also separately purchased a clock for more than $200.00. We did not hang the clock right away as we had to wait for delivery of our furniture and painted our dining room before the furniture arrived. After the furniture arrived we hung the clock and realized it was not keeping time. We left for our family vacation for 10 days and my dad even tried to change the batteries and reset it to no avail. I called my salesperson when we got back in town and she tried to work to see about getting us a new one or having it fixed. She called last Friday to let me know the person she needed to talk to would not be in til Monday. I called the store personally on Monday to the store which turned out to be a nightmare I explained to the person who answered and asked if a new one could be ordered, if it could be fixed or if one could be sent from another store. Her immediate response was you can return it but you will not get your money back only a store credit!!! Really you sold me a clock that doesn't work and I paid for it in full at the time of purchase with my debit card and you won't even try to help me??? She talked about it was a Z SKU like I'm supposed to know what that meant??? I even called back to my salesperson and she told me the manager said I had it for more than 7 days and there was nothing he could do? Do not go to Ashley-Avon. I have had a nightmare of a delivery experience. I loved a bedroom set in the showroom and was going to buy it online. Tori, the salesperson was adamant that I buy everything in-store because of the "White Glove" delivery experience they provide for the delivery fee. She used those exact words. It has been the complete opposite as described and a 3 MONTH process ended with muddy footprints going up my white carpeted stairs and a chip in the side of the dresser. (Also discovered the deliveries are provided by a third party so Ashley can easily wash their hands if any problems may happen) Called corporate, getting $50.00 back for the damaged furniture since you cannot see it from the front? The showroom is not worth your time or energy. If you find something you like and do not mind building furniture, just buy it online or see if another company also wholesales that brand. Over a month ago, my family and I were casually looking for a TV stand for our new house. We decided to check out the Ashley store in Avon one Saturday afternoon. As soon as you enter you are bombarded with so many sales associates. I actually fell in love with a buffet table that we did end up using as a tv stand. The sales associate told us the price ($799) + $99 delivery. My boyfriend challenged the delivery fee because most furniture stores in the area waive the fee. She looked at him and said don't question the fee when you are not paying for it. (My parents were gifting us the piece as a house warming gift) That statement really rubbed myself and my boyfriend the wrong way. At the time we shrugged it off and continued to follow our sales rep around the store while she was pushing my parents to purchase more furniture pieces for our new home. Well $6,000 later... we walked out with furniture for almost our whole house!(dining room set, tv stand, king bed, 2 night stands, and a dresser) On top of the price of the furniture price we were charged $400 for delivery! I did not know this until after my mother payed for everything. If I knew at the time I would of said forget it! On top of being extremely pushy, this sales rep watched every move we made throughout the store as if we were going to steal something. In addition she said that items should be available within the week. On Tuesday when I called the delivery line and waited on hold for 30 MINUTES! Then a representative made me leave my name and number so they could get back to me. Over an hour later they called to set up delivery. Delivery date was three weeks out! I was livid since the sales rep said within the week! I texted the sales rep since she gave me her info and I questioned the delivery date and the delivery fee. All she could say back was you agreed to these stipulations when you came in. Well I waited the three weeks and the furniture arrived. Dining room table set, tv stand, King bed, Dresser, and weird enough only ONE NIGHTSTAND! I run to grab my invoice and notice the sales rep only ordered us one night stand! Fuming I get in the car and drive to Ashley in Avon. We stated our experience and luckily the manager ordered another nightstand free of charge but I have to go pick it up. They refused to eat the delivery fee of $99 to get the nightstand delivered. Fast forward to today. I was informed yesterday that the nightstand was ready to be picked up and the address was on my invoice and it was in Maple Heights (all the way on the east side) I pulled the invoice out and there is no address anywhere. I try to do a Google search of where it is at. I find it (I believe so) and took half a day off work today to pick it up since they close early. I arrive to the location my gps takes me to and I have no idea where it is at. I tried calling the Avon store 8 TIMES and the corporate line multiple times. I sat on hold for almost an hour. I finally drove around this industrial park and found the Ashley dock. I went in and the woman looks at me and goes you cant pick it up our computers are down. I asked for a manager and the manager came and looked at my invoice and said I had to pick it up at the Avon store. I said I drove over an hour to the place the representative told me on the phone and I am not leaving till I get the nightstand that was suppose to be delivered a month ago with the rest of my large order. The manager states that they may have an extra in the warehouse but it may take time to find it since their system is down. I refused to leave until I got the nightstand. Within a few minutes the nightstand magically appeared! I am so happy this saga is over and wish I returned all the furniture I bought. As a customer I am very frustrated with our experience in the new Avon, Ohio location. We went there on Saturday May 26th because of the no interest during the Memorial Day sale. While there we found the sectional we would like to purchase and had stood around/ looked at it for a while. Not once were we acknowledged by any staff. Which there were plenty of. The same staff walked passed us multiple times over and over while we were waiting to be assisted. Finally I went up to a staff member and asked for help. When purchasing our furniture we were waiting for a while, only to be told that they were still processing the order because other items were set on top of our order papers and so they were missed. When setting up delivery we waited till the call date given in the store, this was May 29th. The delivery date and time frame given was for June 5th. Two days before an Ashely employee called to confirm delivery day and time. The day before we removed old couches from living in preparation of the furniture the next day. The day of the furniture never arrived. I had called the number given to check on the delivery status and was told that the delivery had been cancelled due to them not having the furniture. The new delivery date had been set up during that call for June 14th and a time frame had been given. On June 12th Ashley furniture called to confirm the date and give a time frame. Today on June 13th Ashely furniture called to cancel delivery because of not having the furniture again!!!!!!! Delivery has been rescheduled for June 20th, however order will most likely be cancelled before then and we will be purchasing furniture from another store. Because of this I have been without a living room I can use. If the furniture is to be delivered on the 20th, I will have not been able to use the room for half of a month. Not only were we inconvenienced in the store by being ignored by the sales people, we have been inconvenienced in our own home by not having the furniture that has been purchased, also wasting time waiting for a delivery truck to never show up. read more

Horrible visit. My husband and I were there 6-28-21 to look at sofa. The sales woman followed us all around the store. We want to browse by ourselves but she would not shut up! She talked to us about each sofa. We felt like a prisoner. This had been out 8 furniture store in two weeks and none of the other stores treated us like this woman did. With a pandemic the last thing we want is a stranger following us around yapping at us. We could not get out of the store fast enough. Thankfully we went to Dewey furniture and were allowed to browse on our own and found what we wanted. From the other reviews this is how the Avon, Ohio Ashley store is run. They pounce on you the minute you walk in. There was a lady that entered the store right be hind us. She explained she just wanted to take a picture of something she bought yesterday but they insisted a salesperson walk with her just to take a picture! read more

I checked out a few weeks ago the new Ashley Furniture in Avon, Ohio. I helped my mother get a sofa bed she liked I They waived the delivery fee. My mother waited 2 weeks for the delivery once they got to her apartment they didn't bring the sofa in they just looked at the elevator and said the sofa bed won't fit. My mother asked if they are going to try the stairs the delivery people said we don't do stairs. Ashley Furniture called me and said my mother would have to get a smaller couch, I said that was the only one she liked so I want a refund back, the woman then said well you will still have to pay a 99.00 delivery fee since they made the attempt and it was out of their control since its a 3rd party delivery service, hell they didn't even take the sofa out of the truck. If this is a 3rd party delivery service how were they able to take off the delivery service fee when we purchased the sofa. Me and my girlfriend seen a bedroom set that we were planning on getting after this fiasco I'll never spend a cent on anything from Ashleys, I feel sorry for the people of Avon if this is the type of business Ashleys new store is going to offer. I guess next stop I'll see what Levin and Kronheim have to offer, and any other furniture place but these crooks, hope the 99.00 was worth it! Update: After yesterday's fiasco, today 8/17/18 after work I went to Ashley's for a refund the lady at the customer service desk called the corporate manager to speak with me, I told him the story in regards to the movers, upon which he said their movers are professionals and know what will fit and what will not and don't want to take a chance on damaging the product. ( now prior to coming to Ashley's I measured the elevator and looked at the stair way which was wide not narrow easy to bring the product up, when I came to Ashley's I measured the couch there was more than enough room to bring on elevator), he also said they are 3rd party and have to be paid. I told him that Courtney the sales person had waived the delivery fee when I purchased the item, he said he didn't know of any agreements from the sales rep, I also said there wasn't no delivery not even an attempt! I don't believe this is a 3rd party delivery service especially when they're driving an Ashley truck, this is just some shady way for the company to get around any unforeseen future problems and to also get a 99.00 fee no matter what. The corporate manager also said that their guys also do deliver up stairs up to 2 floors, now my mother lives on a 3rd floor, hmm isn't that convenient 2 floors, I also told him their delivery guys said they don't do stairs! Also if you notice this corporate person said our guys, hmm now didn't he tell me their delivery is 3rd party? It's a shame me and my mother comes to a business such as this to make what should've been a easy purchase and my mother ends up in tears. We recently purchased a couch, love seat, and end tables from Ashley Furniture in Avon. Marc our salesman was great! When we walked in to the store, we were met by Marc at the door asking what we were looking for. Marc was very knowledgeable, not pushy, and was very helpful. He listened to what we wanted, we also told him this is the first place we had been at looking for furniture. The furniture was delivered on time. The gentlemen who delivered our furniture were very courteous and professional, answered all questions about our concerns on the furniture. This was the best experience we have had buying furniture. So good, that last night we stopped to buy the matching ottoman for our furniture. Mentioning to Marc we were going to be in the market for a mattress shortly, he let us test a few mattress while he was writing up the ottoman. We ended up buying the mattress, and accessories for the mattress last night. Marc was great again. read more

WORST experience EVER!!!! I purchased over $3,500.00 worth of bedroom furniture on 10-26-19. I was schedule for 11-16-19 delivery, which is also the day before my husband's birthday. Well that day came and went and I had no furniture. I was told that our sales rep actually put us in for 11-26-19. I was annoyed but gave them the benefit of the doubt. I looked on the bright side that I would at least have my bedroom set before Thanksgiving(I was hosting our families). I received a call a couple days before my second scheduled delivery. I was told the furniture was not completed with the manufacturer and I would have to wait until the 30th. I was livid!!!! They "apologized" and assured me that our furniture would be delivered on 11-30-19. On this day, we both cleared our entire day to wait for our 12:30-3:30 delivery, which NEVER CAME! I just got off the phone and the supervisor was shocked and said wow there is no excuse for this.....ummmm how's Tuesday, 12-3-19. This is when I finally explained that I could not afford to take this many days off work to wait for deliveries that never come! The supervisor was unable to confirm a morning or evening time for Tuesday, 12-3-19, so now we are scheduled for 12-7-19. I advise any customers out there to shop ANYWHERE else! No deal or flashy promo they are offering is worth this hassle! I PRAY our furniture arrives on 12-7-19, if not I will be cancelling the entire order and going somewhere else. The downside is I of course opened a credit card with them so I'll just take the negative credit mark because I WILL be closing that account! Oh and you'd think my order would be close to free by now right?....WRONG! read more

We also had many of the same problems with Ashley's Avon store that others have mentioned. We ordered a dining room set and the table came damaged. They sent another one and it was worse. The third one was also bad. They sent out someone to fix it each time and the tech reported they were not fixable and he would recommend a new table be sent. I called the corporate office and was told that the tech's report stated we had caused some of the damage. This was not true but they refused to give me a copy of the report. I highly doubt the tech said that because he stated that it looked like it was stored on its side and that caused the damage! Now the table is discontinued and they refuse to send someone to fix it. They will not give our money back. They offered us a store credit but we did not like anything else and didn't trust their products because of all the problems we had. Their solution is to give us $100 back! The supervisor I spoke to said if they gave us any more money we would be paying less for the table then they did! I responded that it was ok for us to lose money but not them! I even read their warranty to her that states "for the duration of the manufacturer's warranty period, parts and labor will be provided to RETURN THE PRODUCT TO SHOWROOM STANDARDS." We purchased the extended warranty but were told that it would not cover because it was a delivery problem and that is not covered (now remember she previously said we caused the damage.) We started a claim with the extended warranty company to see if we can have the most noticeable ares repaired. Sent pictures but have not heard back yet. This is now March, our first delivery was in September. I have not even gone into any of the details of the salesman not ordering everything we wanted; chairs picked up at the store so wobbly I would be afraid to sit in them; no call backs from the store or the Corporate office, etc. I would not recommend anyone go to this store ever!!! read more
