My husband and I had 4,000 to spend on a couch/ recliner and went to the Joplin, MO location. We saw employees from the front door at a big desk at the middle of the store. We smiled and waved upon entering...crickets. We made a big circle around the entire store lookin and sitting on furniture while discussing what we liked. Staff isn't friendly, ordered a couch and a bed frame didn't even give us the discount we were promised, employee named Byron was unprofessional by taking personal phone calls (must have been a important fishing trip) through the process and while explaining our final balance and delivery dates, said employee lied to us about delivery date and overall was just a bad experience, it may have just been a bad day but we had to return several times that day, and each time we would ask for Byron trying to stick to one salesperson, and the other employees seemed upset and very judgmental cause we wouldn't have any one else help us. The first time my husband and I went there, we were helped out by April. She is the sweetest woman and she did not come off as a pushy saleswomen. Our favorite place in Augusta to buy furniture. The have a big showroom with a nice selection. However you can not go pick something out and drive home with it because everything is shipped from out of town to your home. Like buying a car, the sticker price can be haggled down. I am not one for yelp reviews, however, I urge you to go to Rooms to Go of Havertys. It took too long to have our couch ordered and over a month for the company to deliver the correct couch to our home. I called customer service and the manager Sammie Roberts never returns calls and is always conveniently in a meeting. We will never be returning to the showroom. Shame on this company. April is amazing so I give her 5 stars. She goes above and beyond for her customers. Unfortunately it doesn't matter how great April is when the warehouse and Ashely Customer Cares do not provide the service that was paid for weeks ago. I ordered my daughters bedroom furniture 11/23 they were to deliver it today 12/12 and the hardware for the dresser was not in the box so I was told by the customer care rep to refuse it. The kicker is customer service said they would call me in 24 to 48 hours to let me know when they would be able to deliver 1 of the 7 dressers that are sitting in their warehouse. They hope to deliver it before Christmas. Not sure why they could not schedule a deliver for one of the dressers sitting in their warehouse. If I was not here for them to deliver the furniture they would have charged me a redelivery fee but when they do not arrive with all items I paid for I guess it is ok for them to take their time making it right. I was so upset I told her to pick up everything and issue a credit, at that point she informed me that they would charge a fee if I returned the furniture. I will never shop here again. Sofa was delivered with a flaw in the material. The delivery guys said i would have to contact customer service (i should have refused to keep it). I contacted my sales person to find out who to contact. When i first contacted them they could not find my purchase. i then contacted my sales rep again to get my order number. now after contacting customer service and sending pictures they will not do anything since it was not all sent within one day of delivery. Stay away from this store, it is a joke. My wife and I ordered a couch back in April. After a month of waiting the wrong color couch was delivered. After several calls to the Home Store and Customer Service we just kept getting the run around. There was no sense of urgency, no one was willing to help and just passed our problem from one section to another. We can't get answers from anyone on the phone. We as so fed up that we have requested that the couch be picked up and our money refunded. Customer care made no effort to retain us as customers and now we are having issues scheduling a pickup. I am at the point that I will load the piece up in the back of my truck and dump it on the curb of the Home Store. Buyer beware! Everything with our experience at Ashley furniture was great! Susan is the one that helped us and I highly recommend her to anyone who is looking to purchase furniture from here. She was great with the kids and when we had questions she was t to far away so she was easily accessible. We got a sofa, love seat, coffee and end tables and a dinning room table and chairs. They delivered it a week later. The men that delivered worked fast to get everything into my apartment and set up. Everything was perfect nothing wrong with it. They handles everything with care. If I could give them zero stars, I would.Ashley Furniture by far has the WORST customer service. They pull you into the store with the kinda nice sales representatives put then kick you to the curb after. I recently purchased a sectional couch from Ashley Furniture. Besides the long wait time inside the store, everything seemed to go ok. Most of my sectional had a delivery date set up for one day, and the rest was set up for a few days later. The first delivery went great, but the second one was awful. The furniture never showed up on the scheduled delivery and NO ONE ever called me to tell me that it wasn't coming. I had to call them and then they proceeded to tell me that it would be another month before they could reschedule the delivery. So another month goes by, the delivery man shows up, and the couch is damaged. I rejected the delivery and was told someone would contact me in 24 to 48 hours. Nope never happened. Once again I had to call them and then was told it would be another month before I could get the rest of my couch. We purchased the sectional on 3/3/2018 and we are not expected to have the rest of it until 5/6/2018. They do not care that I only have half my couch and have to sit uncomfortable. Purchased an adjustable base and paid over 1,000 had it in our house 48 hours and was told all sales are finally on beds. The delivery team barely spoke English. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS STORE. If I could give a lower rating than 1 star, I would gladly do it. I just bought a $3500 living room set from Ashley Furniture store in Augusta, GA. It looked great in the store, but I guess they make sure they weed out the factory seconds so they can deliver the worst to their customers. They delivered it a few days ago and within the first 30 minutes I found flaw after flaw with it and called to complain and tell them that I didn't want that kind of garbage in my home. They said, well, we can send a guy out to your house to try and re-sew the furniture so it looks better, otherwise we're going to have to teach you a lesson and punish you by charging a 10% re-stocking fee and an $80 delivery fee. They have a bait and switch policy where they show you great stuff on the showroom, then deliver you inferior quality crap and expect you to take it and accept them sending some stranger to your home to re-sew every piece of furniture they dumped on you. The seams on this leather living room set, were off by an inch on the backrest of the couch. The cross stitching seams were also off by an inch on the seating area of the couch. The stitching on the left chair were twisted on one arm of the chair by about an inch, like a drunken monkey did the sewing. The seams on the right chair were likewise twisted - so apparently the same drunken monkey sewed this chair up. ASHLEY Furniture in Augusta is selling people 3rd class furniture for 1st class prices. I believe I would've gotten better quality furniture from a discount store like Rooms To Go (I've always steered clear of buying their lower class furniture). DO NOT BUY FROM THIS ASHLEY STORE. While Ashley Furniture used to be high quality and I've purchased lots of their furniture before and still have some in my home, they've apparently found a cheaper supplier so they can make more profit - perhaps from the Drunken Monkey Furniture House. read more

It wasn't busy at all, there were workers sitting down on the furniture talking to one another. When someone calls to confirm delivery and you ask if date can be changed and they give you a new date only to find out that they never entered it into the system, and can't find a way to accommodate, it's a little annoying. I bought 2 complete bedroom Set's.It has been almost 2 months and I still don't have my furniture. they have made 3 attempts to deliver furniture, all 3 times furniture was damaged. I was shocked that they would even attempt to deliver damaged furniture. the last delivery I requested furniture to be delivered in the original boxes and they couldn'teven do that.then the last delivery was on a Thursday, they told me they would call me Monday to rescheldue. After a week went by, I decided to follow up, poor customer service im in the retail business, dealing with customers every day, If my employees ever treated my customers the way I was treated, they would not have a job.I still don't have my furniture I ordered. My husband and I purchased a bed and a mattress about a year and a half ago from the Ashley Furniture Store in Augusta Georgia.. A while back I noticed it was bulging in the middle. I called to have someone come out and look at it. The technician was here on July 20th. He immediately saw the hump in the middle of the bed. He showed me how much it was off with a ruler. I'm not sure the exact measurement but around an inch. I didn't to think to take my own pictures because I was sure with Ashle'ys reputation they would take care of the problem. He then took the mattress off of the bed and looked at the slats. The middle slats were raised too much. It was installed by one of Ashley Furniture's technicians. He fixed the slats in the middle of the bed but the mattress still has a hump in the middle. He read to me his notes on his phone or tablet and asked me to sign it. I was called by the customer sales department on July 21st and told that the mattress had a stain on it so the warranty on the mattress was voided. This has nothing to do with a defective mattress but how the installation of the bed was handled. I understand that Sealy would not honor the warranty on the mattress but I really expected more from Ashley Furniture. The customer service representative told me that nowhere in the notes did it say that it was installed incorrectly and that I had not signed anything that stated that. I asked her to send me whatever piece of paper I had signed and she told me she could not do that because I did not sign anything. She also told me that because there was a stain n the bed it would be a health risk to send another technician out to look at the bed because it was now considered a health hazard. I am very upset with the customer service department is handling this problem. I do not appreciate the fact that the lady basically called me a liar by telling me I did not sign anything and then calling my house a health hazard. I have called Ashley Furniture Customer Care in South Carolina twice since then and asked to speak with managers by name and no one has returned my phone call. The representatives in Augusta were very nice and pleasant to deal with but there is nothing they can do about the situation. I really expected more from Ashley Furniture. read more

I went in looking for a mattress without high expectations and was very pleasantly surprised. The guy I worked with was extremely helpful and did not try to rush me into any decisions. He made me very comfortable and was extremely knowledgeable. Any questions that I posed that he did not know he was more than happy to look up. The variety of mattresses they had also topped the other place I had looked before, and the experience was completely different (i.e. they people at Ashley actually cared, or did a really good job making it seem that way). I just got delivered today and the gentleman who came were very prompt and polite. I would definitely recommend Ashley's of Augusta and will continue to do business there. read more

I stated back pain within couples of weeks. i called them to exchange or refund. i spoke with sale rep. she states Georgia policy is not allowed to exchange or refund. I went to this Ashley Furniture store in Augusta, Georgia today to use a Groupon I purchased several months ago. This was not my first visit to this store, nor my first purchase. My focus today was on home accessories. I explained this to the sales lady (Grace) when I got there, and she directed me and my sister to some nice selections of lamps, art, etc. I chose two great lamps that were perfect to give my living room a fresh change in lighting. When I informed Grace that I would be using my Groupon on the purchase, she politely took my certificate and order over to the cashier area. When she presented the order and the Groupon to the cashier, he made an extremely rude remark about my purchase, my use of the Groupon, and how it was a waste and not even worth it. He wouldn't even ring up the purchase, but gave it to someone else! It made me feel embarrassed to be using my Groupon! What is even worse...I have to go back to pick up the lovely lamps. I am dreading having to go back to this store because of how his remarks made me feel and how his attitude toward me ruined an otherwise nice shopping experience for me. Ashley Furniture had no problem taking my husband's Visa card when my husband and I purchased our sofa, and I'm sure that cashier would have had no trouble placing the order for the end tables and dining room set we had our eye on. The business that I work for ran a "deal" on Augusta Daily Deals. We welcomed each and every customer who purchased one of our deals and took every measure to make them feel welcomed in an effort to earn their return visit. I love Groupon! With such poor service, I am persuaded to do my first Yelp review to advise others: I recently purchased a nightstand to match the existing bedroom set I had. I had to correct the address with two different individuals at the store, which made no difference as they still delivered to the incorrect address. When they informed me that the delivery could not be completed, they stated I would get a call the following day to reschedule. Two days past with no call. I finally called the corporate number and after 25 minutes of waiting I left a message. After a day with no callback, I again called and again had to leave another message.......and again received no callback.. I was finally able to reach a person who was of little help. I had no choice but to drive back to the store and personally meet with an individual to reschedule (which I must say the associates at the store are helpful). Here I am four weeks later and no nightstand. I had to call them on the re-rescheduled "delivery day" to ask where my shipment was, to which they advised it was not of "showroom quality" and had to be delivered another day. Luckily for most working individuals, their only delivery days fall on the convenient weekdays of Wednesday and Friday. In the long run, I wasted two days of my life and an estimated two hours on the phone to look at an empty space in my bedroom. If you choose to get furniture from this business, cross your fingers that you actually receive it after you slide your card. read more

Ashley's Furniture in AUGUSTA, GA!!I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!! We ordered a complete bedroom set and were told we live out of the city limits, therefore, they only deliver the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of every month. After patiently waiting, we get our delivery and they send us a bed frame with two foot boards and no headboard. I contacted corporate, they barely gave me an apology and now have to wait a month to get my bed head board. The next day, corporate called confirming the mess up and that a "foot board" would be on the way!! Once again, we had to correct the order for a second time because they were going to make us wait another month and send us the wrong thing again. This company does not care about customer service. If they did, they would have contacted overly apologizing and try to get us our headboard within a few days and gave us our money back atlas for the head board piece. The store itself in Augusta we had great friendly service would give them 5 stars. However our new sofa broke within the first month and it has now been over a month and we are still dealing with crop customer service which is almost as worthless as it can be. The customer service rep seemed like she could care less if we got our stuff fixed or not and when i voiced my concern about the broken wood possibly ripping thru the fabric her response was well don't sit in it because if the fabric rips they will not cover the repair of it. I asked why we spent so much on furniture and warranty when we cant get it fixed and have to sit on the floor while waiting to get it fixed she then replied well don't you have any lawn chairs you could bring inside til its fixed? #1 in furniture i think not and definitely not #1 in customer service. I am very perturbed with Ashley today. When I purchased the furniture I was told I would receive a bill 45 days after delivery. The delivery was Jan 08. I received my first bill on Feb 23. Today, Feb 25 I sat down to pay bills, opened the envelope and saw a $25.00 late fee added. I called and was told it was my fault because I did not pay on the bill sent in January. I NEVER received a bill in January. When I contested this with the person I was speaking with she kept insisting it was my fault for being late and not paying from the January 15 statement. I kept trying to explain to her that was not what was agreed to and since I did not receive a bill or a way to pay at the purchase I could not pay it till I got my bill 45 days later. Ashley, if you are not going to tell your customers what is really to happen and subject us to insistent people who only want to assign blame and not look for solutions then I will not me back for ANYTHING.
