If this could be 0 stars, it totally would be. I ordered a couch on October 28th. I was told at the time there were delays from covid and it likely won't be in until February or March. Ok, no big deal. I'm not in a rush for it and I can wait. Last week, got a text that it was finally time to schedule my delivery. Canceled some plans for Saturday, May 8th. Had a backup to be home for the one appointment I couldn't move. I waited at home until 12pm and had no call and no delivery. I texted and got a "your order is still 9-11 weeks out from the warehouse". I called and was told "oh yeah we're having probs with our scheduling system". I received 3 calls and 3 texts confirming this delivery. One was from a human. During all this time, no one bothered to look at their list and check that there was not something on the truck? It baffles me how this was ok. I called the store, asked to cancel the order, they said they would and would call me back. The next day, I checked the automated system, nope. The order is still active. I'm currently on the phone with their customer service line and after 12 minutes on hold finally got someone who had to put my on hold again. Stay away. Wow! Even though my first review was not all that bad, I have to update my review as my experience was even better this time. We are still trying to fill our new house with furniture and were in the market for a media stand for the living room and love-seat and chair for a sitting room. When we walked by the sectional be had purchased just the month before and say that it was on sale for over $300 LESS than what we had paid... We felt sick about it. But warm fuzzies returned when the sales person told us there is a 30 day price guarantee. But wait...itms been 32 days. . Didn't matter, the manager gave the thumbs up and we got the difference in store credit! "Management" said 4/5 week delivery, and yet no sofa or communication from said establishment. Then "Management" said they have no idea where our order is and to give them till end of week to solve problem. I came here looking for a nice coffee table for my house, when I found one I liked they told me they can reserve it for me because their system was down, which I was okay with as long as I can get it later. The representative that was helping me took my name and my phone number down and said she'd call when the system is back up and running. Never got a call. A week later I show up to see if I can get the table and take it home but it turned out that they sold it. I asked myself "whats the point of me reserving it then? To provide an update to my original post, still no resolution at this time. The post did garner a response from Ashley and elevation but that is still leading no where. After initial contact from the escalation department, I haven't heard anything except that their system is down. That was more than two weeks ago and still no follow up. I sent an email to all contacts that I have been in communication with on this journey and no response. At this point I am not sure this issue will ever be resolved. I should have trusted my gut (and all of the negative reviews) and went back to local furniture stores instead of Ashley. I went in to this store after finding a couch that I wanted in another store, out of state and being told that I needed to purchase from my "home" store. We went in on a day before a holiday and the store was like a ghost town, save for the several employees that seemed to not be able to see past the invisibility cloak I was obviously wearing. I've never been in that store without being at least greeted by a sales associate. I actually had to go ask for help, which seemed to be a nuisance. While waiting for the young man to figure out cost, I was very obviously the subject of some chit chat between two of the not-so-busy sales girls. I've never felt quite so uncomfortable before. My wife and I purchased a new tempur pedic mattress, bed (headboard, footboard, side rails), and the adjustable bed frame designed for the tempur pedic. When our furniture finally arrived (OVER TWO WEEKS LATE), they had delivered us two twin box springs... not the adjustable frame we bought. It has now been over a month and we still do not have our frame nor do we have ANY answers as to when we will get it. We have spent over 40 hours on the phone with customer service. STEER CLEAR of this location. DO NOT BUY. Really wish we had read these reviews before purchasing our couch and loveseat. We had a great experience in store & found the exact combo we were looking for. We paid in full and delivery was scheduled for two weeks later. All good to start. Unfortunately, when the items were delivered, we pointed out a few issues that were not acceptable (including broken or displaced frame issues - sticking out from the back, fabric not well attached, & snags). The delivery person pulled out his phone and connected us with Ashley to confirm the delivery, but also to voice our issues. We were told we'd be contacted within a week to fix/address them by sending a technician out. Honestly, at this point we should have just had them reload them back and refuse delivery. We never received an email or a call. I spent the next three months going back and forth with phone operators and chat customer service (most times, it ended with an apology, saying they spoke to their managers and this never happens, the issue should have been dealt with, blah blah...it was the same thing over and over. The person in charge of the technician coming out would never respond. Eventually I got their direct email and they never responded. Each customer service rep would tell me someone listed photos needed, but then confirmed photos weren't needed, over and over. I eventually sent photos anyway (even though main issues are internal). No response. One of the worst occurrences was when a phone rep was being very rude and I asked for their info and to speak to their manager & they hung up immediately. Again, each time I called or chatted back, nothing but apologies and "we'll get this taken care of"). As of writing this, it is four months later. The customer service tech rep never personally responded to email or call. About a month ago, we received a package with a new back cut fabric piece for our sofa. No mention of anything or a call. A few days after that, I wrote again and finally got contacted (not by the tech rep), but by a company that said they needed to schedule a time to come and see/fix the couch. I set the earliest available appointment (one month out) & one day before that got contacted saying there was a personal reason it needed to be rescheduled. It was rescheduled for the first available again...another month out. That appointment is in October now. We purchased the combo in May. This is ridiculous and absurd. Our initial issues were never fully addressed and our main issues keep getting pushed. DO NOT buy from this location. The customer service is some of the all-time worst I've ever experienced. The entire process feels like it's been a scam to just deliver an obvious faulty piece and bide time until I just give up and accept it. It's really shameful. At this point, I couldn't care less what the tech does. It will have been six months...SIX MONTHS. That's just bad business. read more

I ordered furniture for two bedrooms in June and Jennifer was phenomenal. She is extremely helpful and knowledgeable. The furniture was supposed to be delivered around the July/August time frame. It's now October and still nothing. I called customer service four times and each time the average wait is 25 to 30 minutes. First, they said one of the beds was short the rail and, because of Covid, the furniture would be delivered around November or December. I called again and checked to see if we could get the furniture sooner. This time they didn't even have a delivery date for anything. We've had enough. I called again to cancel the purchase and asked to talk to a supervisor. I said I would prefer not to cancel if the supervisor could help straighten this out.. The customer service agent said someone would call me back. That was 3 days ago. I just got back from the local Ashley and found out they canceled the order and didn't even bother to tell me. They didn't have a supervisor call me like they promised they would.. When we bought our dining room and living room furniture at American Home Furniture, it took them 20 minutes to complete our purchases. Their system is fast and organized. Big difference from Ashley. The sales people have to write everything down and then put it in a computer. That took about an hour. And during the process, the computer shutdown. It took the manager a while to put our purchases in the system and then she gave us the purchase order, and we had to go to the customer service department, hand them the order, and then they put it in their system. The whole experience took over 3 hours. The worst experience we ever had. We will go back to American Home Furniture store and get all our stuff there. Stay away from Ashley, you will be happy you did. Their customer service is pathetic, the absolute worst. Not sure how this company can even stay in business. read more

NEW MEXICO BUYER BEWARE. We bought our first couch with Ashley Furniture on Pan American in Dec. 2024. Our salesman was attentive and kind. However, once we received the couch at our home it went way downhill. We received our couches. The delivery people took pictures of them set up in our living room to show delivery and "no damages". They did pull the sleeper sofa out into the room. Pictures were not close up but taken from far away. The area of damage was in the shadows of the photo, hidden by the sofa mattress. I am sure that there was no way that those delivery people did not know that there was major damage to the underside of the cushion. We had a guest on Dec. 31st for the holidays. When removing the sheets from the pulled out sleeper sofa we noticed there was some stuffing coming down from the seat. We noticed it was near the zipper. Stuffing was coming out the full length of the zipper. I try to zip it up and realize it's not just unzipped. We call Ashley. After 45 mins talking to a woman who I could barely understand because of her thick accent-we get told a tech will be coming out to view the damage. My husband has to miss work to be there for the tech. When I talk to the tech on the phone trying to navigate them arriving on base to my home, I find out this is a 3rd party contractor and that they are not Ashley furniture. The tech also didn't have registration on his car. We live on base so my husband has to drive him on to base and off again so he can access our house. It happens, its an inconvenience though adding up. My husband said the tech was friendly enough. The tech tells my husband "it's a manufacturer defect". Proceeds to tell him Ashley won't replace our "brand new" couch though, that he will have to order the parts and he will come back out to fix it. He tells my husband he is THE ONLY PERSON that does these upholstery fixes for Ashley in our state of NM. I am very upset at this point that a couch that is less than a month old won't be replaced. I confirmed this by trying to talk to someone with customer service. So I paid $1600+ for a sectional sofa sleeper that was damaged when it arrived at my house. So then the parts get to my house. I get a text asking if we received the parts. Yes I confirm we did. Then the text proceeds to tell me the days they have available: all weekend dates. I ask can we please have someone come out during the week after 1pm. They tell me they only have weekend times. The tech originally came to our house at 730-800 am on a Tuesday, but now cannot come out only on weekends?! I'm sorry....I now have to arrange my schedule and take my day off to wait around for a service person to show up in some allotted time frame to fix a damage that was done prior to it being at my house. I ask to have a supervisor call me. I get a phone call with a voicemail: "unfortunately service is the option" meaning that they will not replace the garbage that they dropped at my house. I call the number again, get hung up on before I can get through. I keep getting texts "have you received your parts" "yes I have, how come I only received one call from the supervisor". Response tells me "Our supervisors will only make one call to a sup[ervisor] request." Cool cool, I work 40+ hours a week, I have kids and obligations, I can't answer every call that comes through". I have received NOTHING BUT THE RUN AROUND from Ashley Furniture. Be careful if you buy from them, make the mover/delivery people show you the undersides of the cushions etc. They will conceal it and Ashley will not replace. Ashley will do everything to make getting it fixed an inconvenience. We will never do business with them again. I'm sure they don't care. I will always tell anyone to avoid them at all costs. I scheduled repair and then morning of repair the technician cancels and the first available is two weeks out. It's been almost two months since I received the damage product and still no resolution. Had previously had good experiences with Ashley Furniture but now have been lied to on more than 1 occasion about a order placed 10 weeks ago!! At time of purchase, we were told 6-8 weeks. Now I am being told maybe August before I can get my furniture. In 10 weeks I have not been updated once about my order or a delay. I have called twice and been told May delivery, June delivery and now August. They obviously don't have their sales team monitor their open orders and update customers. I strongly believe they are lying to customers in hopes they don't cancel. Orders on the books make their financials look good but in reality they are treating their customers like crap! read more

I am very disappointed with their service. They are friendly and nice when you walk in and while you are in there. Now, I can't get a hold of anyone in the store and I sure hate to drive 35 miles to ask them questions. I call the 800 number and have a hard time understanding the reps they have. My wife and I ordered a kitchen table and chairs, stools for our counter and a couch for our den on March 8th. I was told it would take some time to get our furniture, but now we are already waiting for 2 months. I was first told by their phone rep that the table and chairs and stools would be in on April 27th and since we did go in to check the status the sales lady told us when the table and chairs would come in on the 27th, they would steal the couch from another order and fulfill our complete order!! April 27th came and went and we were never called to give us an update. I called early in May to see what happened and now they tell me they will arrive to the store in late May and the couch maybe in July!! If Ashley is unable to deliver furniture, why are they selling it. Are they disclosing to all the people who are buying that it will take months for delivery? So, I got my tax return and was finally able to move out to my own place. I researched prices and determined that I would go ahead and order a sofa from Ashley. I could've gotten one the same day pickup for the same price, same quality at Big Lots, but I figured, hey....they're a good company and they deliver!! So i ordered online...on which I put my card info and whatever.They delivered 10 days later. Delivery guys were great. I had gotten a notice in my bank that I was charged the $418. So...I went on happy as a lark for having a sofa and it going pretty easily. WRONG! I go to get an $8 lunch after work on Monday and my card is declined. I run to look at my bank app and Ashley Furniture took out $418! I freaked out. That was part of my rent money!!! That was gas money for the rest of the pay period! I emailed the customer service person I had talked to. She said that online services would get hold of me , and they told her there was a billing issue previously. This was FIVE weeks ago that I got my sofa,btw. First off, if there was a billing issue with you guys...that is NOT my fault ! I had the money 5 weeks ago, I do not have it now! I haven't been to the bank to get them to look into it due to closings. I just got my apartment... I just got caught up...and now they take my money, without even so much as a warning...Plus now I have to pay an overdraft fee. I am beyond pissed. I am beyond words...this time is super hard for all of us..and now I have to worry about losing my apt because if their mistake!! I'm going to be calling them and demanding that this be fixed, something worked out or they can come pick up the couch and give me my money back! Not only were we conned into buying a thousand dollar love seat - once the check cleared, trying to talk to anybody at the store is next to impossible! Then, our mechanical footrest breaks and won't come down. We thought we were protected by the stunning warranty we were conned to buy; however, it took a week of calling "customer service" before someone actually told us what SHOULD have been happening! They said that someone SHOULD have ordered the part (which takes 7-10 days in itself) and THEN call to get it fixed. So now we have to deal with two weeks of a chair that is constantly retracted - all because Ashley can't (or won't) train their staff to treat their customers like human beings! Ashley only wants to sell merchandise; and they could care less about quality and customer care. Stay away!!! We ordered furniture in October 2020 and we still have not received everything we paid for. ( now March 2021). They have also sent us damaged furniture on 3 separate occasions. The Albq. Store won't answer the phone probably because they are getting too many complaints. Ashley also has the worst customer service call center. The worst customer service experience ever! I tried for over 6 weeks to schedule repairs for broken drawers on 2 dressers I purchased less than 2 years ago. I paid the service fee in advance, and never received a call from anybody to schedule the repair. They claim they tried to call me for over a week, a complete lie! We purchased various pieces for our new home. It took forever to get it all delivered. The industrial design desk we bought had very flimsy anchorage to the base of the desk. There was no problem until we tried to move it to rearrange the room. Now, we can't get anyone from the store to return our NUMEROUS calls with messages being left so the problem can be resolved. Where to begin. We bought a bedroom set and a sectional in October. We were told the waiting period for the furniture is 4-8 weeks. We are in February now. Nothing has been delivered. During our waiting period, we have called Ashley furniture store, customer service, and online chat. Most of the calls consisted of waiting for 20-30 minutes or no answer. We have gone to the store directly 3 times. Finally, our bed was suppose to be delivered today. Come to find out, the bedroom set was missing pieces. So we had to go to the store once again. On top of that, our sectional delivery time frame is in March. We have attempted to cancel, but they keep mentioning a re-stocking fee. I first order a bed around July of 2021 and they gave use an estimated time of 8 to 10 weeks but it actually took 11 month. I went back & purchase a TV stand and 2 Sofas paid cash for them, the TV stand was deliver and left at home with no doors install and no screws for me to install them. I contacted the store and was advice by the manager that they could order them and i will get them in 2 weeks just for the screws I asked if I could just return it and was told because it was delivered they don't give money back. I visited the store yesterday evening around 6. I walked all around looking for accent chairs, a coffee table, and lamps. Not one of 3 salesmen greeted me or came to see if I needed help. While they were asking others (at least 3 families and a couple), they completely ignored me even though there was barely anyone in the store and they clearly were available for some of the time I was there. I called when I left to ask about a chair. No one answered the phone. I called twice today asking to speak to a manager. No call back and too busy. So I ordered two Ashley chairs from Michael, a very nice and professional salesman at Furniture City on Menaul, and I will return there to buy my coffee table and lamps from him. Very surprised at the nonexistent customer service at Ashley Furniture. Whoever owns that place is not doing a very good job of hiring management. read more

Ashley Two Starts Home Store, Believe me 2 Starts is generous. 4 months ago Ordered Furniture with the " No Hassle " Delivery ... 4 months, 4 broken promises, 4 failed delivery dates... 4 No shows on for Confirmed delivery dates. Still no furniture. No communication, No answers, No return Phone calls, NO return emails. Ashley does not build the furniture - contract that out. Ashley does not ship the furniture - contract that out. Ashley does not delivery the furniture - contract that out. Ashley does not operate phone center - contract that out. If you call for customer service plan on an 4 hour useless ordeal, because they don't know anything. It's a contract phone answering service. They don't build it, ship it or deliver it, or answer the phone calls. They promise 2 week delivery knowing it will be 3 months. Worst case you cancel, which cost them nothing, they have no reason not to lie. Read every negative review prior to purchasing, and plan on nothing but frustration. Ashley does not make the furniture, it's contract which means everything can be ordered from any number of sources cheaper and faster. Shop at Ashley and then order direct, cheaper faster. read more

I ordered a recliner chair in a gray soft fabric. Instead I get a green snake skin material and the store is refusing to give me a refund. (I asked for a refund because of prior issues in the past but decided to give them another chance). It is frustrating because they offer to "correct" the issue but as the customer they require me to do all the running around. I need to go into the store and "correct" the issue then I have to go to the warehouse on the other side of town to return the wrong chair. That is very inconvenient and because it was their mistake I have to get punished for it. I believe they should offer to pick up the chair or at least let me leAve it at the same place I need to "correct" this problem they caused. Bad customer service. my wife and I purchased several thousand dollars in furniture recently and the mattress we purchased was defective causing us to roll to the center on one side and the corners are slanted causing pillows to fall between the mattress and headboard. we have contacted them several times and either hear nothing in return or get massive push back telling us there is no manufacturer defect to the mattress. They do not contact us we they tell us they will, do not have anyone that can answer our questions or address our problems, and they have been rude about it the entire time. Waste of my time and sanity. I ordered some furniture in late June and the delivery date got pushed out like six times. I was patient, because I realize that everyone is experiencing delays and, besides, we still had our old furniture which would make due. On Sep 9, I called to ask if there were updates and I talked to someone at the local Albuquerque store who told me my couch would be delivered on Sep 15, and my ottoman would be delivered on the Sep 18. Sweet! I was excited, and the guy sounded confident (and I was a fool that didn't yet know the delivery dates were arbitrary and meaningless). Over the weekend we finally got rid of our old furniture and I cleaned out the living room in anticipation for new things. On Mon, Sep 14, I still hadn't heard anything, so I called to see when delivery was coming. At that point I had an incredibly difficult and frustrating time with the employees there and learned that the delivery dates are like the points on Who's Line is it Anyway. They are made-up and don't matter. Long story short, my living room was going to be bare longer, and they promised me two pieces of a sectional on Fri Sep 18. Wednesday, today, Sep 16 rolls around and I have still not heard anything. Nervous, I email and call, and get no response. I am put on hold for all of eternity. So I stop by on my lunch break and, again, I'm going to summarize for you here, but I learned that the delivery dates were a lie. So they dangled a carrot on a string in front of me for a long time, but I don't tolerate being directly lied to. So I had to cancel my order this morning. Who knows how much longer I would have waited!? My living room is bare and I need to go find a couch that actually exists, not some frustrating lie and waste of time. The kicker and the thing that really heats me about this experience is the lying. If they had been real with me last week and explained that things are still delayed, I would have been annoyed but I wouldn't have gotten rid of my old furniture yet. But they were not real with me. They lied to me about delivery dates and lost all integrity. I'm incredibly angry and frustrated. Also, the only way you can actually talk to someone is to physically go into their store; they won't answer their phone (even if you use the #3 extension when you call the number, it goes to that store but they won't answer). Edit: After I cancelled my order, I sent a detailed email about my experience to every AHS email that I could get my hands on, and of course I posted reviews. I got a call from someone extremely apologetic at corporate, who discounted the price again and somehow actually got all of my stuff to me over the weekend. So I added a star to this review. I'm very happy to have this resolved, but the moral of the story is that you have to be extremely persistent and deal with multiple headaches (and lose your mind in a furniture store for a couple of your lunch breaks), and maybe you might have the opportunity to speak with someone at corporate who can make it right if you make enough noise. I went up to one they had a condensing look pointed where I needed then went to someone who was in native and man they kissed a whole lot of ass to them . So I told my wife we can go to Mor . I wish I would have taken the time to read the horrible reviews. It's been a nightmare for the last 14 months dealing with Ashley. Customer service is the worst I have ever experienced. We purchased a dining set last spring and were told we would have all chairs by September. We only had 4 out of 8. By Sept we still only had 4. By late Oct we rcvd 2 more which one broke the second I sat down (I'm a thin person!) Not only was that chair never replaced we never rcvd the last two chairs. By Spring of this year (2022) we spoke with a new manager (because we had to go into the store 6 X - no one answers the phone) who told us that we were given store credit because they no longer make that set. No one bothered to tell us. He said he would refund us everything for the inconvenience. 6 chairs and the table were picked up June 21st. Still waiting for a refund of two of the chairs as of Aug 4th because they can't find them. THEY ALREADY PICKED THEM UP! They've sent out three trucks to pick up chairs that aren't here. No one will answer the phone. The right doesn't know what the left is doing. Stay as far away from this store as you can. We are contacting an attorney today. read more

The salesman was great, everything after that was a nightmare. The driver for the delivery service "did all of his deliveries and was at home" said he would call his boss and see if they could get it delivered today. He never called back, Ashley never called me until the next day to reschedule, 2 more weeks down the line... One customer service person said it wasn't at the distribution center, others said it was, I was hung up on 3 times by different people and I was not verbally abusive or rude to any person on the phone... left a message for the manager at the store, never received a return call... there were a total of three people who were helpful... the rest were rude and useless. I would hate to see how hard it would be to get repairs done on furniture, I canceled my order and went elsewhere I suggest you skip the first part and just go somewhere else... read more
