I wish I would have taken the time to read the horrible reviews. It's been a nightmare for the last 14 months dealing with Ashley. Customer service is the worst I have ever experienced. We purchased a dining set last spring and were told we would have all chairs by September. We only had 4 out of 8. By Sept we still only had 4. By late Oct we rcvd 2 more which one broke the second I sat down (I'm a thin person!) Not only was that chair never replaced we never rcvd the last two chairs. By Spring of this year (2022) we spoke with a new manager (because we had to go into the store 6 X - no one answers the phone) who told us that we were given store credit because they no longer make that set. No one bothered to tell us. He said he would refund us everything for the inconvenience. 6 chairs and the table were picked up June 21st. Still waiting for a refund of two of the chairs as of Aug 4th because they can't find them. THEY ALREADY PICKED THEM UP! They've sent out three trucks to pick up chairs that aren't here. No one will answer the phone. The right doesn't know what the left is doing. Stay as far away from this store as you can. We are contacting an attorney today. read more

The salesman was great, everything after that was a nightmare. The driver for the delivery service "did all of his deliveries and was at home" said he would call his boss and see if they could get it delivered today. He never called back, Ashley never called me until the next day to reschedule, 2 more weeks down the line... One customer service person said it wasn't at the distribution center, others said it was, I was hung up on 3 times by different people and I was not verbally abusive or rude to any person on the phone... left a message for the manager at the store, never received a return call... there were a total of three people who were helpful... the rest were rude and useless. I would hate to see how hard it would be to get repairs done on furniture, I canceled my order and went elsewhere I suggest you skip the first part and just go somewhere else... read more

I placed an order for a bedroom set since September 2020. I have only got one email about it when I reply nobody ever bothered to email me back. I call and call weekly to only get hung up on like I did today three consecutive times. When I got transferred to check the status on my order the person who answered the phone tried to the best of their ability in their language to speak to me and it was so hard to understand and I cannot get anyone in the albuquerque location to call me back. The entire experience is a nightmar! The customer service is the absolute worst! Do not buy anything from the Albuquerque Ashley Store - we bought a couch, waited and waited and waited to hear when it would arrive. I called every week, tried to contact the salesman who sold us the couch (guess he was fired), called the store and ended up at a call center where no one spoke English. Was told the couch was sitting at the warehouse for a month, but no one ever notified us. Was give. the wrong information the entire time. Couldn't pick up the couch because they need 78 hours notice - it's one thing after another. we still don't have our couch - no one calls us back. Purchased a warranty plan and was told if I didn't use it I would get store credit for the amount I paid after 5 yrs. When I called the girl just now, she had no idea what I was talking about. She put me on hold forever and told me to call back next May. Needless to say the furniture is cheap. They have been over to repair my dresser several times since I bought it. The moving guys dropped the dresser mirror in the parking lot and I had to wait an extra 6 weeks for it to be replaced. The dresser was nicked so bad they ended up having to replace the whole thing. The wood keeps falling apart. My kitchen table is nice but the wood is very cheap. Their stuff is cheaply made yet they sell their stuff for a fortune. I'll NEVER shop at Ashley's again. DO NOT SHOP HERE! This store has the absolute worst customer service which is much expected when the store manager offers no solutions to problems and only says "there's nothing I can do". We purchased a King Size bed from this store in May and as of today we have yet to receive it! When we purchased it we were told it would be 6 weeks before it would arrive because of COVID. As of writing this review we are creeping up on 12 weeks. Every time we have called to check on the status we are told either the headboard, footboard or rails are not in. Well we learned that the reason our bed (in its entirety) is never in is because they keep selling the pieces to other customers. I forgot to mention we paid for the bed in full, back in May! I feel MISERABLE!!! I have been sleeping on a bed purchased at Ashley Furniture! It broke in less that a year. Does not support the mattress and Especially does not support a human. The frame fell through TWICE in one week. In fact it broke again 4 days after they "FIXED" it. We called and they are dragging their feet. They will not do anything until their repair man comes to see the bed! That's RIGHT the repair man. We were told that they have 1 tech and it will take more that a week for him to come see the bed. In the meantime we were told that we can not do any repairs or they will not honor any fix. I AM so miserable. I made a purchase of $3000 in store yesterday and today found the exact same items at a retailer online for $800 cheaper. The manager matched the price for me with very little questions asked. The sales rep was fine but after you pay for the furniture you have to wait for delivery 6 to 8 weeks...which I was willing to do....after 8 weeks I had to call them to find out what's up and then I get a voice message saying it would be another 13 weeks....WTF, I called the sales rep...she texted me and claimed to be in a meeting and would check into the delay....I Never heard back from her.....I cancelled the order and will NEVER return to this store again! read more

I love our couch we bought there, but I wasn't impressed with the service. Trust me...we paid enough for good service. We spent a long time waiting and there were multiple problems with their computer system. This lead to some frustration. The nightmare continues. I have always been happy with purchases and customer service from Ashley Furniture in the past so when I recently moved back to NM and went to Ashley, I selected a dual power recliner loveseat on 8/11/21. Naturally, my credit card was billed immediately though I was told delivery would be 8-12 weeks. I went back on 8/25 and selected a recliner rocker and was told since it's the most popular model, delivery could take quite a bit longer. Ok. Late August or early September I get a call to deliver the loveseat on 9/4/21. Wow, amazing, right? Only problem, my lease isn't effective until 9/10. They said, ok, no problem, we will be in touch. I got a call in early Sept to schedule delivery on 9/11 but it was just the recliner. I said no, the loveseat is in too and I told them about the 9/4 delivery/lease issue. I was told that they don't hold furniture and it must have been used to fulfill someone else's order. Had they told me that previously, I could have had it delivered to my son's house. The recliner was delivered on 9/11 and was perfect. I called every week and every week I was told "it looks like next week it will be in." After several weeks of dealing with the "next week" people who kept reminding me it was an estimated delivery date, I went to the store in mid-October and talked with a manager. He looked it up and said it would not be available until December 28. He offered me a full refund to cancel the order or a $200 refund for my trouble if I would wait until the December date. Ok, I've waited this long and I did have the recliner which was delivered way earlier than the date they told me so I agreed to wait because I did love how that loveseat felt. Imagine my surprise when I got a call in late October to schedule delivery for 10/30. And a loveseat was delivered on 10/30! I was so excited that it took me a bit to realize this was not the loveseat I selected. It did not hit my back or neck properly and was very uncomfortable for me. Then I got to thinking and it was not the fabric I remembered selecting either. I went back to the store and talked with a salesman (my salesman was not in). He checked the order and the one delivered was the one ordered but he offered to submit it to the reselection team for review. I got a call from the reselection team who said it was approved and come select a different one. I told her I knew the one I wanted and gave her the number I got online. Now I have just now learned that the store and online are not the same and the prices online are not the store prices. Interesting. She said there might be a few hundred dollar price difference and would I be willing to pay that. I reluctantly agreed. My son thought this was poor customer service and went in and talked to them. They would not budge. Now I would have agreed that since I looked at some many loveseats it is possible there was miscommunication or a misunderstanding and maybe that's how the wrong one got ordered but the salesman adamantly insisted that he does not make mistakes and that was the one I selected. Wait, what?? The customer is always wrong, I get it. I called today and was told the price difference is $700 because though they are having a 30% off sale, since this is a reselection, I have to pay full price. Again wait, what?? She then told me I could come to the store (they would not take payment over the phone) and pay the difference at my convenience in the next 72 hours. Do those two not contradict each other. Again, wait, what?? And the young lady I spoke with reinforced to me that customer service and customer satisfaction is a thing of the past when near the end of our conversation I told her I would never shop at Ashley again and her only response was "ok". I repeat again... wait, what?? I may stop at Lazy Boy who was at least up front telling me they were running 6-8 months for delivery and if I can be satisfied with something from there and get a full refund for return of this loveseat to Ashley, I might just start all over again. Don't ever complain and leave negative reviews but damn this has been the worst experience I've ever had anywhere. We were able to look at items in store before they closed. We then went online and placed an order. Spent over 5k and was going to get more once we placed what we ordered. When the items were delivered, we found the couch was defective as it makes several Lois pooling noises on one of the arms. Feels like hard plastic and no padding compared to the other arm. In addition to that, we unpacked the bed and found the top part has black all over it. Looks like someone got a sharpie and put black marks all over it. Have been trying to get a hold of someone for the last two days and I never can. I spend over an hour on hold yesterday and never connected to anyone. Today was the same story. Sent an email and have yet to hear back. Initially, was looking to swap the couch for a working one but at this point after seeing the bed frame and with the horrible customer service, I'm just gonna try and get a refund for everything. Worst case, it was on a card and they won't get a penny from me. They were real quick to charge my card but now that I have all sorts of issues, can't reach anyone. Very frustrating seeing that we recently moved and have been sleeping without furniture. This has only added to the stress we are dealing with right now. I will never ever set foot in this store again. Already working with American and lazy boy furniture to view their products. Was able to speak to each of those companies no problem. I'm basing my review on Ashley's tent sale this past weekend. I had looked high and low all over Albuquerque for a recliner. And I mean everywhere. I'm lucky I didn't buy a recliner at one of the other places. My hub and I saw the tent sale outside and went to check it out. They had bed sets, sectionals, and recliners (most of which were sold by the time we showed up on a Sunday evening). There was a recliner that immediately caught our eye. It's plush, leather, and does the reclining I need it to do in style. The staff told us all about it and were a bit pushy about us buying it, but that's kinda how it goes. We got it for $195 plus tax. A brand new recliner! The only reason they were getting rid of it was because it was last seasons model. We found the same exact recliner online at a website we do a lot of our online shopping at for $600. Wooohooo! We got quite a deal. We will be on the lookout for another Ashley Furniture Tent Sale. Will NEVER shop at Ashley again, or recommend them to anyone. I bought a sofa and loveseat combo on 08/08/2020. Salesman Mike Garcia assured me that although the Estimated Delivery said 11/06/20 on the invoice, that this was a "high estimate" and that I would have my furniture "in a couple of weeks". He also spoke highly of Ashley's delivery systems; I would receive a weekly text with the status of my order, and could call either the national or the local phone number any time with questions. 3 weeks pass. I receive no texts. I call the local Ashley store, wait on hold for 27 minutes, and leave a message for Mike to call me back. I call the national phone number, wait on hold for 34 minutes, and am told that my estimated delivery has changed to 09/17/2020. 3 more weeks pass. It has now been 42 days since my purchase. I have received no texts or callbacks from Mike. I call the local Ashley store, wait on hold for 42 minutes, and leave a message for Mike to call me back. I call the national phone number, wait on hold for 29 minutes, and am told that my estimated delivery has changed to 10/01/2020. 2 more weeks pass. It has now been 59 days since my purchase. I have received no texts or callbacks from Mike. I call the local Ashley store, wait on hold for 35 minutes, and leave a message for Mike to call me back. I call the national phone number, wait on hold for 22 minutes, and am told that my estimated delivery has been changed to 11/11/2020. I am understandably frustrated by this development. So I ask the customer service representative why the date keeps changing. Her answer (to paraphrase) is that "Ashley has no way of tracking furniture from the manufacturer to the warehouse. The furniture just sort of shows up one day, and then they schedule delivery". This is very different from the delivery system that Mike sold me on. I ask about the supposed weekly texts on the status of my order; the national customer service representative knows nothing about this program and rudely hangs up. On 10/06/2020, I go back to the Ashley store in person. I request to speak to Mike and his manager. Mike meets me at the front, but refuses to let me speak to his manager (of which there are two, and both are clearly in their office doing nothing but watching this confrontation). I voice to Mike my frustration with the situation; how he LIED to me about the estimated delivery time, the weekly texts, and the availability of the customer service lines. His excuses are, for lack of a better term, shitty. He blames COVID-19 for the delivery delay, saying that it's hard for manufacturers to get overseas parts to complete production (on furniture that was advertised to me as completely made by Ashley Furniture in the USA?). He says he never got any of my messages for him to call me back. He blames "corporate" for ending the weekly texting program. I explain to him that the COVID crisis had already been happening for 6 months prior to my furniture purchase, and that if COVID was really slowing down production that much, he shouldn't have acted so confident when telling me my delivery would be "in a couple weeks". He has no response, and passed me off to the Credit counter in order to end our conversation. I requested a full refund for my purchase on 10/06/2020. They said it should be credited back to my Master Card soon. However, based on the abysmal YELP reviews for this business, and countless other customers experiencing this exact same treatment, I imagine I will need to yet again wait on hold for 20-50 minutes and harass the store to give me my money back. For what it's worth, I went to American Freight on 10/06/2020, bought a higher quality couch for about half the price, and scheduled delivery for 48 hours later. It's so frustrating to see all the reviews that describe this same poor customer service, and then to see Ashley's template response: "Please send your order info to feedback@dsghome.com and our team will get started!" Ashley Homestore can fuck off. Hopefully it doesn't take another 50 days for me to get my money back. read more

I have been waiting to get multiple issues resolved for almost two months with no help or assistance, just empty promises. I have called customer service on multiple occasions to try to get delivery issues and manufacturing issues resolved only to be told that a third-party contractor is going to contact me while receiving no follow-up on when and how this will happen. Not only has this third-party contractor that has been promised has never called me, never shown up and has never scheduled any appointment through any means, but I have never received any follow-up from any customer service reps to see if this contractor has reached out to me. On top of all these issues, I have never been given payment information for my purchase, nor have I received my synchrony account information to be able to even make a payment. All in all, this has been a horrible experience and I will never purchase from Ashley again as well as inform all my friends and acquaintances to never purchase from them as well. read more

Worst customer service ever! We spent $13,000 on a Tempur-Pedic bed and base. The first base delivered was the incorrect base. Our salesperson thought it had all the features we wanted, but it didn't. Honest mistake. The second base that was delivered came with a crushed power cord making the bed unusable. The delivery driver said he put a cord on order but would check in the warehouse to see if there was one available. Two weeks later we've heard nothing about the cord. We called customer service and were told we would have to order a new base and have it delivered for a third time. We came to the store to talk to the manager Mike Garcia who put a brochure on the counter and told us to call the 866 number and walked away. He obviously did not care about us as customers and had no interest in helping us with the problem. So disappointed order items In March 2 sets of living room sets a bedroom set for my daughter they told me 8 wks top. Absolutely the worst experience one can have with a retailer. If you want furniture you will be better off building it yourself. We placed an order in September and was told that it will be in on Nov 19th. Two months post order. When that day came we called to see when and where we could go to pick up. At that time we discovered it was delayed another 2-3 weeks. We have to keep calling to check the status of our order because they have never called us to discuss delays. We were told that part of our order will be in on a Sunday and both available for pick up on Friday. To our surprise the one item that was said to be in earlier was not in. The store refuses to answer the phone so we have to go into the store to talk to anyone locally. There is usually around 10 employees sitting around not doing anything. While we where there the phone didn't audibly ring once so they must have the ringers off. At one point someone did answer the phone not realizing there was an incoming call. I was able to tell because he was trying to place a call. He proceeded to tell me he was new and didn't know how to look up an order but would have someone call me back. I'm still waiting. Customer service finally said it was in route to the distribution center and would be out for delivery to us on the 23rd. They actually called me for the first time just to inform me that it will not be in untill the 28th. I guess we will see. This review is long but if you read it all it will save you time going someone else for your future needs. Don't let them blame covid on slow production. This stuff is made in China. read more

My husband went down to the Ashley Store for answers and because we ordered online, they refused to give us any help. They told us we probably wouldn't see our furniture until the end of January but could not give us any definite answers.... this is an order that was placed in early October!! My husband and I had scheduled an appointment for a 1hour time slot at Ashley Furniture today. When we arrived just a few minutes prior to our appt. time, several people were standing outside waiting to be let in, so we joined in the waiting. A woman who was standing nearby told us she has been waiting since last September for her order to arrive and she can't get any help from anyone, even as far as answers.After several minutes, one man began banging on the door as we could plainly see people inside, oblivious to all of us standing outside,freezing our butts off! Finally, a woman came and cracked the door open a couple inches and told the man that they weren't opening up the store until 11:30 and she closed and locked the door.Our SCHEDULED appt. was for 11:00am so I went to tell her that we had an appt., She spoke through the glass this time and I couldn't hear a word through her mask and the glass. We left at that point and we won't be ordering anything from this place in the future. We also won't be ordering from them online, as I see from all of the horrible reviews that are being written they have terrible customer service and people aren't getting any help OR their furniture.If yo can't deliver a product that people are there to order, THEN STOP TAKING ORDERS AND SCREWING WITH YOUR CUSTOMERS!! My list of reason I'll never shop here again: 1. Live in Santa Fe stopped by this location received a quote for a set I liked. I went Albuquerque to check out other furniture because it was late I stopped in Albuquerque to get the set before the store closed and the sale ended. I was quoted double the price in Santa Fe. They finally adjusted the numbers but when my husband asked the sales lady if she ordered the correct piece she said yes. On our way home we looked up all the pieces and she did order the wrong piece. We got it corrected over the phone. They said they would send of a new invoice and they did not. We called back 3 times and finally got a new invoice. 2. Order was placed 9/7/2020. They said because of delays expect it 10/10/2020. In October I called. 30 min wait time and told to expect it in December. Called in November 12 they said I was scheduled for 2 deliveries one on the 19th and on the 24th and to wait for a call regarding the delivery. Called November 19th to follow up. On hold 30 minutes they answered and they answered and hung up. Called again on hold 20 minutes this time. They said no deliveries are scheduled and they don't know why I was told anything because there are no notes for why I was given those dates and they have no date to provide me with of when the furniture was coming. All they could say is it's on back order. They offer a 10% discount on delivery then said well because it's financed the 10% off goes to your finance fee. I cancelled my order! read more

I wrote a review based on a horrible experience in buying a $600 recliner for a disabled veteran. I received two responses from Ashley furniture store. I responded with my information requested. To date, six weeks now, still no refund and not a single response for requested assistance. I have an attorney working on this issue, who has not received a single response to her several calls and messages. If anyone buys from this store, please be aware that there are thousands of serious complaints across our nation on Consumer Affairs!!! If you do not check out this company prior to buying you may be stepping into a really horrible experience, no matter how "good" the store presents itself when you enter to make a purchase. I want to start by saying I know that wait times were going to be longer than normal and we expected that. We visited the store early august. We went in with my in laws and specifically spoke with the sales consultant about our needs and time frame. My husband was getting major surgery and we needed a new couch that could recline while he recovered. We were told what we picked out would be ready first week of October. They could not pin point a day but that was our time frame. This worked as his surgery was late October. We were told we could call and check up on the delivery since there wasn't a specific day. I called 2 times and both times waited 40+ minutes to speak with someone. My father in law also called a few times and had a really long wait time. The lady was rude and made sure to tell me that if we canceled our order we would receive a fee. Every time we called they pushed our delivery date back. Well, we finally cancelled our order because as of 11/3/20 our order is now project to be ready in early/mid December (....maybe...). I know things are difficult now but we clearly communicated our needs and I expect a business to be honest if they can not meet them especially when we are spending thousands of dollars there. We were very specific about our needs and the time frame. We ordered almost the exact same couch from American home and it is being delivered with in 4 days.
