I would leave ZERO stars or NEGATIVE if I could! WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!! We went and shopped here for memorial day sales. Bought my daughter a beautiful $2000 bedroom set. We did not need the mattress so the manager told us he would let us get the tall dresser in place of the mattress since we did not need them. Well...First of all it took 5 weeks to get the furniture then it came INCOMPLETE. (No tall dresser liked promised or the mirror for the other dresser.) and of course the manager and the sales lady that helped make us the deal quit or were fired and corporate DOES NOT CARE!!! They said there is nothing they can do. IS THAT NOT STEALING?!?!?! OH and if you call Ashley furniture see how long it takes them to answer! THEY NEVER ANSWER! They don't care about customers until they have your money. Now since they don't care I have to look into getting a lawyer and contacting the BBB and getting a police report. I have a business partner who live over by McMurry college area of Abilene, nice 2 bed 1 bath. He has been holding, storing, using furniture of a mutual friend of ours. He's cool like that. Word is the furniture has been sold. To make a long story longer... He's been looking at the different furniture stores in town for a sofa, set. Ax'd me if I wanted to go with him to Ashleys to talk a look at it with him. YECK YEA!!! I'm a Realtor in Abilene, I enjoy looking at houses and seeing how they are set up. So visiting a furniture store has got to be in the top five things I'de want to do. Lots of nice stuff in there. Prices are fair, and this weekend they have a tent sale. I am not one to leave bad reviews however I feel a need to with my experience. I ordered a couch in August (it is now the end of December) and was told it would be delivered in 3-6 weeks. I have contacted Ashley's store and customer service several times and given a different delivery date each time. Each time I called I was told that my sales person should be contacting me weekly with updates. I have yet to be contacted by anyone from Ashley's. When I call they have no record of my previous phone calls. I completely understanding that Covid has played a part in delaying delivery however the lack of customer service is unacceptable. I want to support our businesses but only ask for the same support in return. I have cancelled my order. read more

i am more than dissapointed with Ashley Furniture. When we ordered a dining set we were adamant that we needed it by thanksgiving because we were having out of town company. Guess what..... it is almost Christmas and we still do not have it. We were told it was in stock at the Lubbock warehouse so it would be no problem. Now we hear we have a table and 2 chairs maybe. I paid $1400 in cash for this table so we would get this in time for thanksgiving. The contract says there is a 25% fee for cancelling an order. That is $350 we would be out, but what worries us is if it would take that long to get an order how long would it be to get a refund, if EVER and then the order would be cancelled also. No furniture NO Money... We wanted more furniture but we will definitley not be going back to Ashley for anything. read more

Oooo boy this is not only the worst store with the most obnoxious sales associates.... But they had an Easter egg hunt today they were even announcing on the radio and t.v.... but for what?? Lol there were not eggs insight...like at all looks small kids aren't money hungry...they just care about candy and sweets, my little guy was in shock that there was not one candy he found in the whole place... It seemed to me that they only hid a handle full of eggs... The only other people in there were the workers and their kids that had a head start looking for eggs... Not even they had a lot of eggs and their adults we're helping them but they were workers husbands and wives lol like this event is for kids only to hunt for eggs....and that isn't fair because they already know where the eggs are.... It was a sad waste of time and a let down for my kid... And who ever else showed up. Because the hunt seemed have only lasted 9 minutes before one of the workers kids found the glass money egg... Everyone in the store is polite and wonderful, but the lack of communication, late delivery, and horrible customer service is just ridiculous. We ordered over $8000 worth of furniture, they delivered only half of it over a month late because the rest of the furniture was damaged. Very rude associate upon entering the store. He asked us if we needed help finding something and we said no, just looking right now. The sales associate said, "just looking for something in the middle of a pandemic?" We just walked away from him. Then an older sales associate asked us, "what....are you looking for spare tires?" Initially my wife and I were very happy with Ashley Homestore. I did some shopping at a few stores and ended up buying a couch and loveseat from there during their Labor Day Sale. I opted for the 12 month interest free option, with a down payment. And then I got a random credit card in the mail. What Ashley failed to tell me (admittedly, I made the mistake of not asking), is in order to use the finance option, you MUST use a new Home Credit Card through Comenity Capital Bank. I had no idea I was signing up for a new credit card. According to the contract, I cannot cancel or get a refund on the purchase, and I MUST use the new credit card to pay off the remainder that I owe. This bank and credit card have a very poor rating on BBB, and a rather high interest rate. Ashley Homestore in Abilene sold me the couch and loveseat using a very underhanded method, and did not actually explain how the finance option works. DO NOT FINANCE THROUGH ASHLEY! Back on 03/15/21, I called Ashley's to let them know that my power chair stopped working and my cat had sprayed on the sofa cushions where the back meets the seat cushion. I told her if you are sitting on the couch it is the right side that needs replacing. She said she ordered the parts and when I receive them via UPS call them back to schedule the tech guy to come fix my furniture. On 03/31/21, Junior came to our house and replaced the mechanism for the power chair and it was successfully fixed. When he opened up the items for the sofa he realized they sent me the cushion and material for the other side. He said they sent me the Right Side Facing instead of the Left Side Facing. He said he would get the right parts ordered for me and to call back when I receive them. After several weeks of not receiving any replacement parts for the sofa, I decided to go inside the Abilene store to speak to someone face to face. I went there on 05/04/21 and told the lady at the customer service desk at the back of the store about my reason for coming into the store today. She said I have to call customer service and let them know. I told her I am at the customer service desk now. So she called and got Courtney on the line and had me speak to her. I explained what had happened and she stated no order had been placed by the technician. Unbelievable! So she ordered my parts for the Left side facing sofa and added the replacement cushions for the power chair since it had now been sprayed by the cat as well. She ended the call by stating to call her back when I receive the replacement parts to schedule the technician. Well on 05/27/21, my power chair stopped working, again. I called Courtney and told her about the power chair and she ordered the part for it. I told her at this point the power chair has now been broken 3 times since we bought the furniture on 03/28/2020 and it was probably delivered sometime late April or early May. I told her since we bought THE PURPLE COW protection plan can we just exchange the power chair for a manual one. I wasn't asking for a refund for the difference I just wanted a chair that is going to work in a more consistent basis. She said no they can't do that. I asked to speak to a supervisor/ manager she transferred me to the corporate office and after I explained my situation I was told the same that Courtney had told me. She stated that is why you bought the protection plan so continue to use your protection plan. I told her OK I will use my plan to it's fullest extent but in the end your company will probably lose money on my sale due to having to pay for shipping and labor costs. She said she was sorry but that is their policy. So on 06/11/21, I called to make an appointment for the Technician to come out and install the parts I had received. They scheduled him for 06/22/21. Today is June 22nd and the technician has now left. He fixed the power chair mechanism so now it will extend and close. Then he stated that I am still missing some parts in order to replace the sofa cushions and power chair cushion. They sent me the seat cushions but not the back cushions and some other foam parts. He took pictures and said he emailed them and I should be receiving a call from customer service either today or tomorrow to verify the order. YAY me!! My family and I will still have the honor of smelling cat urine for who knows how long. I am going to the store again to buy more febreeze. Thank you to anyone who read my review. read more

Just a warning, DO NOT GO TO ASHLEYS HERE. My mother and I have shopped at Ashley's for over 18 years and have never been mistreated, lied to, and taken for a run like we have. I ordered a full living room set (sectional, end table, coffee table, sofa table, and tv stand) in May, 2021. We were told it would be ready in July, okay not so bad. July rolls around, they then tell us November. November rolls around, and now it's January, and so on and so on. Until today!! I am able to get my sectional and end table while the rest of the order will be ready in April. To find out today, they didn't order the wedge for my sectional so I have 3/4s of a couch. We go to the store and they tell us there's nothing they can do for now, they couldn't check what was in stock, and they couldn't sell us what was on the floor. This is all I've ever heard from corporate, customer service, and people in the store. Also let me tell you, the lady that worked with us today LITERALLY said to my face that if my order isn't complete and someone else needs something that is already in the warehouse from my order, they give it to that person! THEY HAVE BEEN GIVING AWAY FURNITURE I PAID FOR. How long do they give away pieces in my order until I finally get my furniture. I have made payments on this furniture (that I do not have) for ten months. I have found out I was pregnant and had a child who is almost 2 months before I have gotten one piece of furniture. I have been through hell with these people and have not be offered one solution, one piece of compensation, or anything. Do not believe the back order lies they sell you. You will never get your furniture because they'll continue to give it away but expect full compensation for the furniture you do not have. Ordered an entire living room set. Found a dining room set and new furniture for my son's room that I loved.... but decided to wait until we saw how the living room furniture delivery played out. Thankful that we waited!!! When you enter the store- there are 15 associates wanting to sell you furniture. After they have your money- you can call everyday, go into the store multiple times to speak to a "manager" and STILL get no answers or assistance. Some of the sales staff are just interested in how much you want to spend. When one salesperson, Chris, found out how much i was willing to spend, he immediately told me i should shop somewhere else. Had i bought the recliner i was looking for, it would have been the fourth time i shopped there. Chris knew this, even said he recognized me from before but i guess that didnt matter. Husband and I just bought a house and needed some new furniture. We don't have that many affordable options in Abilene so we went to Ashley... we were treated like meat! Personally, I think they had some nice things and decent quality but, once you purchase beware. We have received TERRIBLE customer service. 3 different stories on the phone about where our furniture is. They lie about letting you put 10% down while you wait on your furniture to pay off the rest. What really happens is they don't ship your furniture until you have paid 75% of the order and act like it's your fault. We won't be buying anything from them in the future. read more

I usually don't write reviews; however, the customer service we received from Ashley Homestore in Abilene was beyond terrible. We purchased furniture in June and were told it would be delivered in eight weeks. After not hearing from the store for ten weeks, we went to the showroom to inquire about our furniture. We were told that only the wedge section of the sectional was ready for the delivery, along with two barstools and that we receive those items in a week. When the items were not delivered again, we contacted the store and were given a new delivery time frame of an additional eight weeks. After contacting customer service, they informed me that the new delivery window was now an additional 14-weeks. This has been the worst customer service experience we have ever had. In the past, we made several furniture purchases from Ashley. However, we will never do business with them again; almost two years into the pandemic, the excuse that COVID has still disrupted operations is getting old! read more

The customer service was very helpful! My only complaint is having to wait to have my furniture! But they said they were averaging 19 days, and 19 days later I did receive the phone call that my furniture was ready to be picked up! So the next day we go and pick it up! We didn't have it delivered because I didn't feel the need to pay an extra 100 dollars for something I could do myself. Anyways, when we get there, the workers were very helpful, they unwrapped everything there so we could make sure everything was there. And that nothing was wrong with them. Then he wrapped them back up nice and tight so we could transport it to my place. All in all, I don't have any complaints, except for just the anticipating the arrival of my new couches! I was told no problem by the sales person Chris. Well a day before I move, I receive a phone call saying I would only get half my furniture delivered. My sectional would not be delivered until May!!!! Are they serious?!?! Ordered furniture on 11-27-20 months before Covid and was told repeatedly two more weeks until Covid hit then that became the new excuse. Sad thing is we really wanted the furniture we selected. If you go to the store they tell you to call a 800 number that no one cares about your issues, if the phone doesn't disconnect after an hour hold before that. If you read the google reviews all negative reviews have the same generic response, which doesn't do any good to contact with the information they are asking for because they do not care. I was finally able to get my $300 refunded and not a store credit. I am glad I never paid them another dime or else I would have probably just received store credit for some shit I wouldn't receive either. The customer service lady was super nice this time, but I did tell her not to direct me to the 800 number and I was not leaving the store without my money or would return every day until it happened. I did not raise my voice this time, but you will never get to speak to a manager because they know their company is shit. we went into the store looking for a sleeper sofa. was told we could put on layaway. we could also pay half of the total and the sofa would be ordered that day and when the sofa arrived we would pay the other half and it be delivered in about 4 weeks. This by the way was the middle of November 2020. Fast forward to the week of Christmas 2020. We went into to store to pay the remainder so there would be no delays on our part with delivery. Only to be told that the sofa had not been ordered that day as we hadn't paid half of our total. We immediately got out our invoice from November and to our surprise another piece of furniture had been added to our order. They seemed so surprised that we didn't not authorize that purchase. Thankfully we had invoices showing our order. They took off the extra piece of furniture (they seemed very uncaring or concerned that this huge mistake happened) we then asked about sofa delivery. we were then told since the order was according to us messed up and changes had to be made(again their fault for adding a piece of furniture) our sofa would not be here now till end of January 2021. TWO months of waiting on a piece of furniture !!!!! Their customer service is a joke, they do not seem to care that the customers are very unhappy and will NOT do anything to assist in making it better. I hate to write bad reviews of companies. But I'm ready to walk into this place and tell people to not buy!! HORRIBLE. I've never had a worse experience with customer service and we spent so much money here. After 8 years of marriage we finally bought a matching furniture set. We've never been able to afford one- not like we could this one. It was supposed to be a great experience. But it's been a nightmare. I wish I could take back my decision to purchase at Ashley's. First, after waiting forever, we got the wrong color delivered. Which was actually fine because we wanted that color but were told in store it didn't come in that color? So, okay. Then, the movers scraped the front of the furniture and said they'd order the part to fix it. We notice some scrapes and even a hole later but it may not be covered because it wasn't found on the initial move in. They said they could probably fix it all so that was cool but we never got a definitive answer on that from any other follow up after the "repair men" left. (They just looked at them and said we'll order stuff) Whatever, as long as they're fixing the big scrape across the front, right? So, the parts they "ordered" never came- the guys never came back to repair just looked 3 TIMES. And each time the parts were supposedly lost in the mail. They were supposedly delivered to our doorstep. Packages don't just get lost and stolen multiple times. I'm not stupid. Oh- and our electric also goes out on the same furniture piece with the big scrape in the front- so we can't even use it. Apparently the wires underneath were clamped to tight from factory - so one guy that is actually here one day fixes one side but says he has to order a part for the other side. So, he leaves and we never hear from anyone again. So I call again today and we still can't use one side of our furniture- no one has come to fix, no one knows if parts were ordered or where they are at. This company lies, plays games, must think we are stupid or that we will just be busy enough for enough time to pass and have our warranty run up. It's taking all of my strength to not march into that store and scream. If I could, I'd say no stars for you. HORRIBLE COMPANY!! Update: I did finally get an actual call back but from someone in Lubbock who works for the Amarillo branch. Hopefully they sort our situation out. We'll see. We just want our furniture fixed. Told my dad he was too busy to talk to him, yelled at me and blamed me for his wrongdoings and even yelled at my grandma. My husband and I bought a king size adjustable bed. We were promised delivery 10 days after our purchase. It was not delivered and when I called and asked what was going on they had actually lost the mattress and the adjustable base had not been shipped. We accepted a particle delivery of our mattress a week late. Then, a week after that they could not deliver the base because one of the delivery guys had a warrant out for his arrest and could not get onto Dyess. I have been purchasing AHF since 2013 in the Houston market. I now live in Central West ,TX and made the mistake of walking in to make a purchase. I was not greeted, and when someone finally came over she did not know what she was doing on the computer so I was then passed to Letty... and let me tell you she had no personality. I made the purchase and left. As Iwas traveling back home I called the Houston market and asked about the price and their price was $100 less plus they were giving me a 15% discount. I tried calling to cancel the order and couldn't get anyone to answer the phone. I called the next day and was told that i would be charged a 25% fee for cancelling my purchase (customer service didnt care that my paper work didnt have my signature or that Letty didn't inform me of the back of the paper )or that it hasn't been 24 hours or that it hadn't even been dilevered. People seriously be aware and don't shop at the Abilene AFH this is a very poor quality market!!! There is no such thing as CUSTOMER SERVICE and I was not allowed to talk to a store manager. The worst experience I have ever had purchasing furniture. The sales people try but the manager trumps what they say and is not willing to make any deals. Then if you do not like or change your mind about what you have purchased they charge you a 25% restock fee and will only give you a store credit ( no money back), even if the furniture has not been delivered. The protection plan is the same way, they tell you they will give you the price of the plan back if never used but they fail to mention it is in the form of store credit. Honestly you can find the same furniture from a different distributor online. My husband and I have been looking for a new living room furniture set and have visited the different stores in town. When we arrived we were greeted by an associate and told him what we were looking for...our biggest want was full grain leather. The associate showed us all the sets and we came upon one that we loved. The associate was showing us all of the features and told us it was full grain leather. We were working out the pricing but ran out of time and needed to leave to go pick up our kids. While away we were looking at the store website just to further look at the features of the set we liked. The first thing that came up showed us the the material was predominantly PVC...not leather. Really? People will do anything to make a sale. Only giving this place 2 stars because the associate was patient with showing us different sets. Otherwise would not recommend. I, just like most of the other reviews, had a bad experience here. I bought a sectional and chair and found out later that same night that the online sale price was $400 cheaper than the price I paid in the store! (That was with our 10% military discount). Even the ORIGINAL price was $200 more in store than it was online, which I thought was a rip off. I don't care if the stores are franchised, the regular price should be the same online and in the stores. I understand the sale price can be different. We went back in to the store the next day and spoke with our sales person about it and all he could tell us was that if I would have seen it before I signed the contract they probably could've gotten it down to that price. Said nothing else to us, he did not even care at all that we had to pay $400 more for the same piece of furniture. Horrible customer service. I don't have my furniture yet (he estimated 2-6 weeks) so I can't comment on the quality of the furniture, but I'm hoping I'll be happy with it in the end. I really liked the style so I'm hoping the quality is good. I will not be buying anything else from this or any other Ashley furniture. If you do decide to buy something from here, check the price online before you go in to the store, and remember that if you decide to cancel after you sign the contract then you have to pay 25% of the total cost.
