Well, when she had me look in the mirror, I wasn't sure I was looking at *my* face at first. My skin was flawless- and a week later, (after 2 flights!)it still looks awesome. I asked her if I could bring her home with me! The products she uses smell divine and she explains every step as she goes. Even the dreaded extractions were entirely bearable and immediately soothed. I had always heard horror stories about redness for days after a facial and was a little concerned about that, but there was not any redness at all. My skin has been so fresh looking that I haven't bothered using my everyday makeup. I also got a lash tint- something I never knew I needed til now. It makes me look awake even when I feel dead to the world. As for the spa itself, it's quaint and tastefully decorated. There is fresh water and coffee or tea available, along with magazines to peruse while you wait. The rooms are clean and comfortable. You will be in good hands while visiting Balance Day Spa and you'll leave feeling relaxed and fresh. If I lived closer, I'd be a regular.

I was already considering Accutane beforehand, and my skin became so much worse after this facial that I'm now on it. Please be cautious if you have reactive or acne-prone skin.

The technician was very thorough, and she did the treatment in literally 5 minutes. I was so pleasantly surprised! After two treatments I no longer see shadows under my arms. I still get hair growing in, but it's fine and light. After 7 treatments for my underarms, I still get hair growing in. I only have to shave about once a week though, and there are no dark shadows.
