We ordered an ottoman from this store which was clearly defective. It was completely wrinkled and looked nothing like we ordered. We reported it right away the same day, and were directed to Ashley guest care which is a joke. Filed a claim there and instead of replacing it they sent a technician to "fix" the ottoman. Technician came in, took the ottoman apart, filled it with cheap filling and made it much worse. The ottoman was now overstuffed, higher than the couch, made noise and still had wrinkles. Technician still claimed it was "Manufacture quality". Had to file a claim again, and again instead of replacing, they sent another technician. Technician this time was better, but ottoman now is wrinkle free but not flat, higher than the couch and hard, nothing like what's in store. A customer care representative called "Christopher" called us, and we explained the situation, and he said he can't do anything cause the technician claimed it was manufacturer standard. We tried to explain how that's what the first technician said, and he started being extremely rude to us. We can't even return it cause it was in our place for over 48 hours. Well, we complained multiple times immediately, and the only reason it is with us this long is cause they keep sending technicians instead of taking it back. "Christopher" wouldn't even give us his full name after being extremely rude to us, clearly because we try to find a way to officially complain about him. Ashley customer service is a joke, they will sell defective products to you, scam you by doing hack jobs on it and claim it is "manufacturer's standard", and then be extremely rude if you disagree. If it's like new why don't you feel comfortable taking it back and reselling it? I literally bough over $5000 worth of furniture that day and this is how they treat me. I recently went through the WORST customer service ever with Ashley Homestore. Bought furniture a month in advance for delivery specifically on the day before (a Saturday ) moving in to new place. On the designated day received a phone call from "Customer Service" that 6 minutes away from the delivery address THEIR truck had broken down and they were waiting for a mechanic but because it was after 4 they probably couldn't deliver. Nope they didn't have another truck locally to transfer to and deliver and NO way they could get a U-Haul!! Only thing would be to call customer service Monday morning. When I did to find out what time it would be delivered Monday they acted like I was crazy and said the first date they had available for delivery was Oct 11th EVEN though it was THEIR delivery truck that had BROKEN DOWN...they refused to do anything except put us on a waiting list (ya right). I ordered a pull out couch and was told it would be 6 weeks before arrival. The couch arrived 6 months later. Within 2 months this poorly made product was broken and stuck open in my living room. The costumer service I received was horrible. I was told basically to suck it up and it would take 2-4 wks for a tech to come over to assess. Knowing at this time the couch was stuck half open and closed in my living room making it complete non functional. The tech that came hardly touched it and stated yep that's really broken. Left in the same situation, the tech advised the couch be replaced. Head office called me to tell me they would only be replacing it the part and that it would be another 3 weeks before the part even arrives to the warehouse. BUYERS BEWARE. We just bought a house and needed to furnish it so we looked around and came across Ashley's furniture company. Upon looking in the website and going in the store, everything looked amazing but for a very high price. The quality looked good and they made everything sound so easy with great customer service and good return, repair and exchange policy. So as it appeared reasonable we bought out bedroom set and dinning room set from them and were going to purchase our living room set from them once we decided exactly hat we want. Mlving to delivery date, we notices that thw dinning table has a lot of issues with it and also the glue that put the parts together was seeping and showing through the cracks.we reported the issue which the delivery staff said they were going to but never did. It was a huge process and we had ro get a service ticket number and wait for a technician to come and analyze the issue to see if it is repairable or needs exchange. We actually live 4 hours away in a separate city in our permanent home so consider having to travel 4 hrs back and forth every time you have to exchange something or have someone deliver something. It took the technician 3 months to get to us and by then we had received our night stands which of course one of them had an issue with the drawers to closing properly. So now we have to service numbers and the technician that cane to see the table wa not responsible to also analyze the other item even though they are from the same purchase and in the house!. They decided to take the table top and fix it snd bring it back which again is a lot of us traveling back and forth. We agreed and waited also for the night stand technician to contact us. Needless to say that it took 2 months for a technician to contact us about the the night stand . Once the table was return, not only one side of the table still had issues but there was a new damage to the table top. Once we reported this, they again made a new service number and we had to go through the whole process of waiting . In the meanwhile, finally someone came to fix the drwer slider. He fixed it but did not use the whle kit so he cut conrners and also did not fix the bottom drawer. He agreed that there was an issue and gliders had to e ordered for the bottom drawer as well but once he left and we followed up with the company, we were told that the technician stated that there wasn't any issues but we PREFERRED to change the bottom drawer so as it, we will have to buy new gliders if we wish!. He had also closed the service number stating job was completed. Now we are disputting this nonsense and waiting to fix the issue with the dinning table. Finally someone came to take the table back and fix again and we are battling about the issue with night stand. This is at least 5 times of going back and forth from beginning of spring up until last month!. Spring, summer, fall, and beginning of winter!. Finally they brought a new table as the damages to the original table couldn't be fixed and the new table looks like it belongs to two different pieces!. One side was fine but again same issues with the other side not being even. So they wanted to open a service nunber and they also stated that if we accept the table , its done so they gave to take the table back and exchange or fix it. So we had to go trough a the cycle again which we were expecting guests for Christmas so we couldn't wait any longer. We asked if we could change the table for another model but they said "no, you can't!". So after much arguing and back and forth, we were done and they offered 15% refund to keep the table but if we returned it, they would only refund 90% of the price we paid !!. We were so exhausted and didn't know what to do so we accepted the offer and they quickly told us " then your case is closed!". When we called black about the night stand which was supposed to be still in dispute, they also said that that case was also closed but it wasn't but we fixed the table and night stand ourselves as we had guests coming and just let things go. The furniture they display in store is not what you are going to get and the delivery and technician people are very unprofessional and do not know how to fix anything or assemble anything so they danage the furniture and dont take responsibility for it. All in all, Ashley furniture is really a BS company and really bad policy and incompetent staff from office to sales representatives and customer service. They cut corner where they can and use independent contractors /technicians who will work as they please with no consideration to their customers. We will never go back to this company and purchased our living room set from another company for much better price and it was delivered on time and beautifully with no issues. If I could give this store zero stars, I would. STAY AWAY! ** Delays ** I purchased furniture on November 8th, and was promised it would delivered in 8-10 weeks. I did not receive my furniture in December or in January. At the end of January, I called to find out what was going on. I was told that my entire order was in the warehouse, except for one piece of a sectional/chase. I was then told that the last piece would be in on February 10th. I waited, but didn't hear anything from them. On the 15th of February, I called. I was told that none of my furniture was in stock, except for two ottomans, and that the pieces that were missing would not be in until the February and the end of March, separately. I asked what happened to the other pieces that were in stock the last time I called. They said that they can't give me that information. In the same phone call, the customer service agent said that they don't hold items in their warehouse beyond 10 days. This was quite shocking, especially because the pieces of furniture they were asking me to wait for were supposed to come separately, a month a part. Therefore, as I was waiting for the later pieces, they would (I presume) give away my other pieces. I was told to call the sales person that sold the furniture to me. So I did. After speaking with him, and him calling my back later, he said that he would have the warehouse deliver the pieces that were supposed to come at the end of February (everything except one sofa) when they arrived, and then have them deliver the other sofa at the end of March when it came. I was unhappy, but accepted that this was all that could be done. I waited again. It's now February 28th. Guess what? I still don't have any of the furniture I purchased on November 8th. I just got off the phone with customer service. They said they do not have the pieces that were supposed to come in and be delivered at the end of February. They are now saying they wont be in until the end of March, and that the sofa that was supposed to come in at the end of March wont be in until mid-April - six months after I purchased the couches. ** Customer Service ** I was rudely treated by several customer service agents. I was hung up on, lied to, and told that they could not pass me on to a manager or to corporate. One customer service agent told me that after I got my furniture delivered, they would review my situation and compensate me. (Yeah, right!) The other ones I spoke to told me that they could only offer me a $100 gift card or upgrade my delivery (where they put the couches together for me). What could I possibly buy at Ashley's Furniture for $100? A pillow? And if I did buy a pillow, I would have to wait beyond six months for it to show up. And as far as having the couches set up for me, I think I can handle that. It's condescending and insulting that this was considered compensation for my situation. ** Refunds ** After waiting for almost four months, I asked for them to refund me for my purchase. I was told that they would have to have a sales person reach out to me. A sales person? Are they supposed to talk me out of it? ** Update: March 11, 2022 ** So I haven't heard anything from anyone. I called today to find out what is going on. I was told that one of their sales associates had called me, and that I said I wanted a refund/cancellation. So they cancelled everything. The problem is that I DID NOT speak to anyone. In fact, I had decided not to do a refund because I read on the contract that there is a 10% restocking fee for any refunds. No, thank you. Before I left the store, I was told it was weeks. 2 Days before we were expecting the delivery, we were called to say it would be another month. I just called (1 week before the latest expected delivery) to confirm and they told me it has been delayed again. While the staff in store has tried to help, guest care service has been horrible with a "that's just the way it is" attitude (staff in store do not control delivery date). We purchased more than $3000 furniture from your Scarborough Ashley home store last year. Very poor quality materials. My recliner couch is ripped, peeled, torned and damaged...This can be viewed almost every area of the couch where there is a leather fold. Called the customer service and spoke to two sales personals . One guy said your one year warranty expired a day ago and the other one said one of the manger will contact you in 48hrs and its been more than a week now, haven't got a call from anybody. VERY DISAPPOINTED!!!!!. One year warranty expired a day ago i agreed but we are not expecting your couch to be damaged within an year of purchase. If that was the case i could have bought it from some of the local store, way cheaper than this. TOOOOO BAD!!!!!! In addition, we bought the installation services as-well at the time of purchase. Very poor service, they made two different files for me, when trying to look me up, they say I cant find you, they make me wait for a whole hour to finally figure out my file. Also we purchased an item that was too large for our room, when we requested for return, they said it is not a justifiable enough reason, and we have to pay 25% return fee which we did because we were so fed up that we did not want to deal with it anymore. We purchased our Bedroom set for our new home in March and we're advised it would be sufficient time for it to be delivered for our closing in July. in late June I called to determine the status and was advised they had everything except 1 piece however I was assured by the customer service rep that she took the delivery details and it would be delivered on July 17. I called in July 3 to confirm the time and was surprised to be advised they were now waiting for 4 pieces that they only had 1 piece and could not arrange a delivery until they had received everything or the order would be cancelled. Product was delivered to the outside of the house (other companies deliver into the house). We would have paid the extra fee had we known, but nobody told us delivery did not include brining it into the house. The product came wrapped and we kept it in the original wrapping as we were doing some drywall repair/painting. I took off the original wrapping 4 days later and found three tears. I e-mailed the next day, never heard anything back. Two days later sent an online complaint, got an e-mail saying, "too bad you reported the damage in 4 days but you only have two days to report". I called customer service and the store manager. They were not willing to repair (wanted us to pay $300 for materials to repair the brand new sofa we bought from them), not willing to replace or even offer a discount. The material (supposed to be a leather sofa) is thin and such poor quality at the area or the tear. When I was appalled by the poor customer service and that we payed a lot of money for damaged furniture and they took no responsibility, I wanted to cancel the rest of the furniture that we didn't get yet but they told us they would charge a 10 % restocking fee. Don't get fooled by the photo and the description "Upholstered Queen BED" on their website and $350.00 as the price cause this is only a bed frame and you have to spend another $350 or more to get slats +boxspring... I ordered a bed with shorter headboard online. Shortly after I ordered, I called the store in Scarborough and asked them about the bed. After a week they shipped the other bed which is higher in terms of the height; therefore, they sent a wrong bed. In regards to their FREE SHIPPING, if you live in a condo, it is only going to be delivered at the door of the lobby, not at the door of your apartment because it's FREE! and the 3 delivery guys do not bring it into the elevator so at least have some dolly available at your condo! The customer service is so rude and unhelpful... I called them several times to tell them they made a mistake and they send another bed not the one I ordered online. There was a very rude CARE GUEST which he introduced himself as "Blessing!". He kept saying that the one you ordered is the Higher one and I am wrong! so rude! He did not want to accept that it was their fault not my fault, that there was a problem in their system or in their stupid warehouse! He kept saying that there are enough details about this bed on their website but as everyone sees, except the dimensions, there is nothing! I told him they need to make an exchange very quick or refund some of the purchase price because the bed frame does not come with slats or platform and I have to spend more money and get from another store. He said there is no way they give me money and there are only 2 options: 1- Exchange within 2 weeks 2- return and I have to pay 25% of the purchase price as the return fee. Overall the company's vision in servicing the customer is not the same anymore. You are better off in spending money on a custom made sofa. I have two custom made sofas with no issues. I have purchased a stock item and I didn't have a service technician until a month later and now I am too late in making a re-selection since the sofa arm rest is not well padded. Sales staff were helpful. Delivery was long, about 5 weeks, but that was likely due to Covid. The real problem was the terrible customer service. Part of our order was a reclining loveseat. Upon delivery, the seat back for one side was so skewed that it could not be properly inserted into the rest of the unit. We waited 2 months for a part to repair it (double the time it took to actually get the whole loveseat). The repair allowed the seatback to be slid home, but at a greatly slanted angle. They tried to tell me that it now fell within manufacturers tolerances. I had to send pictures and explain many times that not only did this not look right, the seatback was still wobbly in its housing. They actually sent a technician to inspect, who told me it was definitely messed up but he could not tell why, ordered another repair part. Several times repair techs come to my house, replace 3 different parts, and the seatback is still skewed and wobbly. The phone charger stopped working at one point, as did the headrest movement. They did fix that. Oh, but wait the headrest has stopped working again! And EVERY time I phone "customer care" I have to explain again the crazy condition of my seat back and send pictures of the problem. This is the worst company I have ever dealt with. They have the worst customer service ever with no respect for their customers. I bought a coffee table with 2 side tables on Feb 2nd and what a night mare since then. The tables were delivered with white gloves service which I had to pay extra to assemble the tables on Feb 7 but the screws to connect the top glass to the bottoms were missing from the package. So the drivers took a note and sent a report to the guest care to order the hardware. I also called the customer service telling them that they need to send the piece of screws. I was told that it would take at least two weeks. They suggested to have the hardware shipped to my house and then I can call and ask for technician to come and install it. I kept saying that the only pieces missing are hardware parts ( the screws) which I find very strange for a company like Ashley to not include them in their packaging.. After a week, I received two big packages by fedex. So it turned out that they sent the top glasses instead of hardware pieces again. I called the guest care and notified them but they kept saying that it is fine and their technician knows and bring the right parts. They didn't even say sorry for the mistakes they mad in ordering the wrong parts. I had to wait for another week for the technician to come and when he came he asked me for the hardware parts. So it turned out that Ashley guest care put a note saying that customer received hardware even through I called them 3 times to advise them that I am still missing the hardware part. They don't even apologize for their mistakes. The technician said the screws he has are not specific for the tables and they were supposed to order the right ones. Now I can't get a refund even though I am not happy with their service and I was told that I have to wait for 4-6 weeks according to their guest care for the parts( finger crossed they will order the right one this time) to be sent to me and then I have to wait for technician to come and install probably in another week. so we are looking for End of March or beginning of April to have my tables setup. in meantime, I have 5 packages sitting in my living room and no coffee table entertain the guests. You can't even deal with the store you shopped at and just have to talk to their customer service who are so incompetent and rude. Their quality is not even great for the money you pay. BUYER BEWARE. I came into the Ashley store Kennedy and 401 on March 9th to follow up on my online purchase; since the sales consultant had not returned my calls over 2 days. I was informed that the online Ashley sale had been cancelled, no one had informed me, the customer. The Ashley store manager recommended 2 bedside tables to go with my bed purchase that were delivered on the 16th. The manager knew I was flying to England on the 16th to deal with a family emergency; I did not get told there was a 48hr return policy when buying, although it is on fine print on the 2nd page of sales slip. On my return April 12th our renovator said to get bigger tables so I called Ashley Guest Services(GS) to exchange the beside tables. They told me to go to the store. The store mgr said to call GS to put in a ticket which I did in the store with him. I called GS every day and on the 4th day they told me they had cancelled the ticket since they never go beyond 48 hrs policy and go back to the store to get the Store Regional Manager to approve. I went back to the store and an email was sent by the store to the Regional Mgr and 5 days later there is still no response. I have had these sidetables in my car for over 12 days. I wanted to exchange for more expensive sidetables but Ashley cannot seem to exchange after 48 hrs. They are very bad communicators and also send the customer bouncing between GS and the store for no reason - BUYER BEWARE. read more

The store employees were great in assisting in the sales part of the experience. They worked me very hard to purchase my items and included a small incentive which was nice. However the other incentive was to use Fairstone as a creditor with their no interest for so many months. I fell for it. I wish to advice everyone that you have to read your monthly statement very carefully. even it is says no payment required if you miss the expiry in-between the statements you will be charged the whole interest from the beginning of the purchase. And they don't care because hidden the paper work they say it was clearly noted. What is important to remember they will not send you a letter to say it is coming due and that the interest goes back to the initial purchase date. After an exhausting furniture search for our new home, we wish we had found this place sooner. Unlike The Brick and Leon's, nobody watches over you like a hawk when you are shopping here, trying to get a commission. By the time we got here, we were short on patience after some bad experiences at other furniture stores, but they were very friendly and let us browse without bothering us. The selection was phenomenal: staged properly and with some nice inspiration so you can get a sense of what it would look like in your home. When we needed help, we were directed to Padhma who made us laugh and had a great sense of humour. Again, there was zero pressure. The couches here are SUPER comfortable and we ended up getting a new couch and dining chairs. Delivery was that same week and communication was great: we got a text on the morning of delivery that they could come earlier than the proposed window of time if that was ok with us. It was and when they arrived, they set up the furniture in a respectful manner, unpacked everything and even put pads on the bottom of the chairs to protect our hardwood floors. We would definitely come here again to get our furniture and recommend this place to family and friends. The selection for couches was better than other places we've gone to (Structube, Urban Barn, Leon's) and the customer service was exactly how we wanted it. Thank you! read more

We bought a long counter table in February. It was ordered and delivered to the store. We picked it up as it fit into our vehicle and it was easy to assemble. Well one set of legs was wrong. Contacted customer care asap and told them and even sent pics. They ordered another set. That took a month. We picked them up in thier warehouse in Mississauga and we inspected then before we took then home. Wrong legs again. Now things escalated and not to our satisfaction. They ordered a third set and said a technician will bring them to our place. This took another month or so. Then he arrived with them and he didn't even inspect them before coming and they were wrong again. Can't believe this happened 3 times and they didn't even check the 3rd time before a person came to put our table together. Pure incompetence. It's now middle of May and we still don't have a resolution. We will never shop there again. EVER. read more
