This is the second time we have shopped and made a purchase at Ashley's in Meridian. The first time we purchased 2nightstands, a chest of drawers and a dresser as well as a large area rug. We had trouble receiving the order in the designated time ; delays and excuses during the whole process. Given the first experience, we decided to try another purchase. This time we bought 4 counter stools and some wall art. At the time of purchase we were told the art was in stock and should be a couple weeks for delivery. The stools were going to be ordered and should be 4 to 6 weeks. Two weeks passed and I hadn't heard from anyone about my delivery. I called and went through an automated phone system HELL. Then when I was FINALLY able to speak with an agent (real person) I had quite a bit of difficulty understanding AND being understood. My order, which was placed in mid July wasn't going to be delivered until the 16th of September (wall art, which was supposed to be in stock) the stools were still on back order. I tried calling the store to no avail (got the same automated horror system I had previously experienced) We went to the store and dealt with the manager Mike (he gave us a card with his contact info) We had previously worked with him on our very first order debacle and here we go for round 2!!! He checked the order and confirmed what we were told. Wait a tad bit and we get a text to schedule delivery. It's for the wall art. WHERE ARE MY STOOLS?????????? I went through another automated phone hell to speak to someone I was unable to understand nor do I think he understood what I was trying to say. The gist was that I was going to get my money back because they didn't know when or if they were going to get my stools in. After about a week I didn't see a refund on my credit card statement so I called the manager, Mike. I didn't get a response from him so a couple days later I went back to the store to see him, AGAIN. I've gotten my refund for the stools, l'm still waiting for my wall art and I am EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED, FRUSTRATED AND JUST PLAIN ANGRY at the experiences we have had shopping at ASHLEY's. I have made purchases at RC WILLEY, De Meyer's and CHF; at no time was there a problem with any of those orders. The experiences with Ashley's has not only cost me time, it's tried my patience and understanding. I have lost precious TIME waiting for numerous items to arrive late or in the last case, not at all! If I could give you a rating of 0, I would. I've never made it a habit of paying our hard earned money and kissing anyone's anatomy! During the last 3 months I have been trying to get information on my couch. After no updates and 2 months I asked for a refund and was told no, they can't refund once the couch has been purchased. Finally 2 days ago I'm told it's in the warehouse. Don't assume that means they have a plan for it because they don't. We where told it will be here today 05/14/21 and now we are told it could be here Monday at anytime. The manager then tells me I can get my money back!!!! Well great now that there's 3 days maybe to wait, now they can refund my money... This company has 0 planning to it, and hasn't a clue how to orcastrate business. It doesn't take much to set up drivers with a detailed list and arrival times. Bad management Is the only thing that could make this such a bad operation. read more

Been fighting my recliner for too long....it sags to one side. Gather up all my info and went to the store of purchase. Met a gentleman named Chris and after looking at my pictures he agreed it was sagging. He pulled up my file and determined I bought the chair in 2016 and he was the salesman. Said his people could probably do a fix. Told him I needed it picked up the next time their truck was in Payette. Next morning a phone call and chair is picked up. Another call early the same afternoon....chair is fixed and will be delivered with two hours. Total bill $60. This whole problem was settled within 24 hours after visiting their store. Mattress Quest: Chapter Five I am very familiar with Ashley's furniture as there is a huge, show quality, flagship store in Salem. At one point or another I have purchased whole dining, living, and bedroom sets from them. Needless to say, I am a fan. If my only experience with Ashley's had been the Ontario location, it is not likely I would have bought anything. The showroom is about a fifth the size I'm used to seeing an Ashley's, the overall selection seems to have been "dumbed down" greatly as well. None of the fine sets I am used to mooning over were anywhere to be seen. There were, however, lots of your average styles you'd see in your neighborhood single wide. The mattresses were unremarkable and the selection rather sparse. Of all the stores we have searched, the salesman here was by far the most invasive. This is a real turn off for me, especially when I'm trying to pay attention to how a mattress feels when I'm lying on it and all I can focus on is a pair of eyes watching me. *shiver* After several attempts to convince the salesman "we are not buying today, just trying to find a comfortable mattress" (no matter how many times you type a discount into a calculator) we finally just left. Extremely unlikely to return. read more

Buyer beware - If you want to work with people who have strict policies and like to protect themselves only, at the cost of the customer, service people who will talk down to you and make you feel like, if something goes wrong, it's all your fault and responsibility- you've found your store! We had a great experience at this Ashley. They were extremely helpful and did not pressure us in anyway. Sold a quality product at a fair price. If you live in the Treasure Valley I would recommend the short drive to save some sales tax on your furniture purchase. read more

A couple years back we bought a set of couches from another furniture store here in Ontario we were kind of pressured and up sold on a set. Since then we've really been taken back from the whole furniture store experience, until we went into Ashley and met Nancy! She asked exactly what we were looking for, showed us the options they had. Absolutely no pressure in buying. we found a set we loved! Over all very pleased and I'd recommend any of my friends and family members to atleast stop in and take a look. read more

Our experiences at Ashley Furniture Home Store in Ontario have been plenty and I will add we live in Meridian where there is another Ashley store, however in my wife's and my opinion you will not find nicer people ANYWHERE than the Fitzsimond family the owners of Ashley store in Ontario. We have bought several pieces over the years and have only had one minor issue which they took care of so fast I was very impressed. Their products are very stylish and they stand behind what they sell better than any other furniture store I have purchased from in the valley...I would also add that there is absolutely no pressure when you walk in whereas at most furniture stores the sales people are on you before you even see them coming. I bought a mattress in February. The salesman told me I would get 4 mattress covers. I was charged $79. I got 1 cover. Recalled the salesman and was told I had to contact the mattress cover company once a year for 4 years and would receive a new cover. That was contrary to what was on the cover oacjaging. Recalled the salesman and was told he would make it right by 2/28/19. Not. I figure I'm out about $58 which they will not credit back to me. read more

We have bought a lot of furniture there over the years. We recently bought a bed and mattress. They require that you buy a mattress cover for $79.00 for your warrantee to be valid. It was awful. Didn't fit the mattress and was very wrinkled and uncomfortable. They wouldn't let me return the cover. I bought a comfy mattress pad (a lot nicer) at WalMart a lot cheaper. This was a mistake to not take theirs back. We won't shop there again. Oh yeah, it took weeks to get the mattress. read more

I walked into the Ontario store today, October 25, 2014 at approximately 1:15 pm. When I walked in , there was a man and woman (sales staff) sitting on a couch set, talking. The woman turned around, as I walked into the store, caught my eye, then turned back around and continued her discussion. I walked around the store looking for recliners. I sat in probably 3 chairs and continued to walk around the store. I then saw the woman go into a back staff area and the man was now at a counter. I walked right past the counter and the man and he still didn't acknowledge me or say one word to me. I continued to look throughout the store and no one ever said hello, may I help you, I'll be with you in a minute, or can I help you find something! I also only saw one other young lady and small child (customer maybe?)in the store. I was now getting pretty disgusted at the poor customer service and walked out of the store, after at least 5 minutes or so. In fact I walked out of Ashley Furniture and across the street to Eldridge Furniture where I was immediately greeted by a sales man and I bought 2 recliners! Suck it Ashley Furniture. You showed me you don't care about a potential customer and a nice sale. read more

Great quality for a great price! I have furnished 3 homes in 3 different states with items purchased at this store. My most recent purchase of 4 bar stools for my mother was wonderful! They look amazing and are so comfortable! The price was incredible considering the quality of the bar stools, as always. Thank you for all your help! read more

After reading some of the reviews I realized the negative ones are from several years ago and certainly don't align with our shopping experience. We were greeted immediately and got an incredible level of customer care, so much so that we felt we had made a friend in our sales Lady. They can order anything Ashley carries even in their bigger stores but remember this is Ontario Oregon. Well worth the drive over from Idaho to save money and experience small town hospitality from a very caring group of people! The quality of our purchases are excellent and delivered without a hitch.
