Two ladies then blow dried and flat ironed my super long, super thick Indian hair to perfection in less than 30 mins. That's a record of sorts! All for $20+tips. He scheduled me with Mac since he's the one who does that service. Hours of time off from my job plus $300-$400, all so Mac could use regular coils. When my hair was done, it looked permed, but not like the picture. I thought time or a few days would give it the final touch after following the instructions I was given. Nope. My hair literally has straight roots and curly ends. I have a picture from just days after having it done. My husband informed Andy, and we had to go based on Mac's schedule. It's been close to a year and I haven't looked back since. When I first came to Star, the price was $6 across all stylists, while Danny charged a flat $7. There are people that come in and out of this place, but the majority of them are here for Danny. I've seen him cut a whole plethora of folks, but the reason I appreciate him is because he knows how to handle Asian hair (#1). It's not uncommon for him to have a wait of 3-8 people at any given time. Fast forward to current times, Danny now charges $10 flat. All other stylists are at $9 (#2) and it's cash only. Danny is also the only hair stylist I've ever seen that has "911" as option on his menu, which is a $40 emergency for anyone who needs to skip the line for whatever reason. Other feeds include $30 for coloring, $3 for beard trimming, and $3 for shampoo. Also, do not use the restroom. Hold it and go to the restaurant next door. Just trust me. Ultimately, Danny has been good about giving me a proper fade with crisp lines and helping me manage my cowlicks. He's always been incredibly friendly and funny and is well connected in the community. The sign read "Bella Ross Beauty Salon". I was hesitant to stop since it was late in the evening, but also because it said "salon". I was used to the typical fades haircuts. Upon walking in I was greeted by Maytham who is a stylist/barber and he mentioned being closed but said he was ok with cutting my hair. I felt blessed to find a spot at the last minute. What I didn't expect was a professional stylist! The first time I sat in Maytham's chair, I was so grateful that he was willing to cut my hair that I said "do whatever you think looks good." He gave me a very stylish cut for $10, the sign reads $12. Nonetheless, I tipped him for cutting me up after hours and doing a great job, too. Family and friends complimented my new styled hair. I've been here numerous times and Maytham is always extra nice. I'm writing this review hoping to bring him more business, but a selfish part of me hopes that it stays low-traffic because the wait times are low.
