Edit: After texting her again after I posted this review, I got the link to the few photos she did take, as well as confirmation of my refund processing. I booked Ashley for a family photo shoot at a cabin in Broken Bow, Oklahoma. We wanted to hire a photographer who was local to the area, knew the landscape, and was willing to come to our Airbnb to take the photos. I filled out a contract and put a deposit down. I texted 10 days before our scheduled appointment time to confirm, and Ashley asked if we could move up our appointment to accommodate for light, which was no problem. The day of our appointment, after 15 minutes past our appointment had gone by with no word, I realized that the address I had originally given was incorrect. When I texted Ashley to tell her, she said she was running behind anyway and wouldn't be at our location until an hour after our appointment time. When she did arrive, she said that she had a flat tire and had to have someone give her a ride. However, about 10 minutes into our appointment, she said that she had to leave and that she couldn't explain, she just had to go. I then received a text saying that she was afraid of heights, was starting to have a panic attack, and that she would refund my deposit. I thought this was odd since -- as I said -- we wanted a photographer who was familiar with the area, knowing that Broken Bow is in a more elevated part of Oklahoma. However, I said that would be fine, and to please process it within a week, by the following Friday. It's been almost a month, and I have not received my refund, despite asking a few times and being told once that it was being processed. read more

Worst experience I have ever had with a"professional" photographer. My first clue was that she asked if she needed to send me a contract when I had already signed one and paid. Second clue- my name was wrong on the contract. She took our photos- got proofs about 2 weeks later. Which time wise was fine I guess, but the proofs had almost no editing, and my first thought was "I paid for this?" My iPhone could have done better. We submitted the ones we wanted for further editing, and she has since ghosted us. She has not responded to multiple emails we have sent. Our money has gone down the drain for literally nothing. Ashley was hired to take engagement photos for my daughter. The total experience was underwhelming to say the least. She was late to the appointment and her excuse was she got lost (she lives in the area). She made derogatory remarks about the country and made strangely rude comments about my daughter's fiancé. Her "poses" and "backgrounds" of the sitting were unbelievably bad and the focus often was on the scenery and not the subjects. She even left her backpack completely visible in the shots. Ridiculous. The comment was she can airbrush them out. The proofs were supposed to be sent in 3-5 days and it took over 3 weeks. I would absolutely NOT recommend this photographer. read more

Recently she did my very close friends pictures and did absolutely horrible. I do not recommend. She didn't edit any of the pictures and out of like 500 they only liked 5. She was 15 minutes late along with her saying we would get our photos in days but it turned out to be weeks. I am completely heartbroken and would not ever recommend this photographer. My sisters and I surprised my elderly mom with a trip to Broken Bow and then surprised her with a photoshoot with her and all of her grandchildren. She was so excited and emotional. We paid in full, completed the session, waited and waited and waited and.....well she completely ghosted us, ignored all of our emails and phone calls even though we kept asking for her to please just update us. I was going to use those prints as gifts for my husband's parents, but now am having to scramble and figure something else out. She is demanding I change my review on the knot. Why? I don't know. She hasn't fixed the photos I've been asking to be fixed for months. I told her if she fixed the photos I would update my review. I hope no one else goes through this. I gave her money for a canvas print, so many photos, a USB, and printed pictures. I haven't received any of them. All I have are some photos on a digital website! Many photos are almost perfect doubles, and several edited ones are broken, and have watermarks. When I asked for a refund for all the things I don't seem to be receiving she refused. She said she is covered in her contract, when only the first payment is kept as a retainer. She also lost the first look photos with my father and refused to tell me about it for a month. All she has offered in compensation is another photo shoot, and a leather bound wedding album. But I haven't received anything else I paid for but maybe 40%. It even says in her contract that she is to refund for last or damaged goods. Which I have a lot of! I have receipts too. Photos of everything. I wish this was just me being rude. But no this is me trying to get back the wasted money me and my family spent. She has caused us so much stress. I've taken every avenue to try and work things out with her. Next step involves a lawyer. So just watch yourself with her. I hope no one else goes through this.
