I met with Dr Goguen and she was able to walk me throug the process and procedures that would fit my individual situation. She and the staff set up a plan and put me in contact with their Anesthesiologist Dr Dorsch. She in turn explained her potion of the process and answered any questions I had. After my appointment was confirmed, I received calls from both Advanced Endodontics and the Anesthesiologist two days before my procedure to make sure I was ready. One the actual day I arrived and the staff was totally prepared and I was treated as if I was the only patient they had. The process went exactly as planned on time with no issue. I had No Pain, No Discomfort and went home feeling fine. I received 2 follow up calls to make sure all was well. It was a great success and I can't say enough about the professionalism and kindness exhibited by the staff. I saw they treated myself and other patients as human beings and not numbers. A crown had been advised by the first doctor and I was open to this, but I also had some underlining issues and concerns with the tooth, that resulted in the second opinion. Just in my initial contact with the office of Dr. Bidgoli, I could easily see the strong professionalism of the practice. It was even more so during my first appointment, especially with regard to the steps taken to ensure BOTH the safety of patient and staff during Covid. As for my time with Dr. Bidgoli, "impressive" is the best descriptor that I can offer. Her consultation was clearly rooted in the best interest of me, the patient. She patiently explained everything clearly and with logic and facts. I also heard input on my situation that I had not heard prior. I was so impressed. Back bottom tooth #18 was very sensitive to cold and had issues (needed to come out), so much so it triggered my chronic migraines to a severe heightened pain. Dr Lee and staff took me in the same day immediately coming from my dentist's office and ended up staying well after normal office hours. He took time and tested various teeth in the back area of my mouth to determine that it actually was #18 causing the problem before performing root canal. I called the office and they had me come in immediately which was wonderful. Low and behold I cracked the tooth where the new crown had been needed. On that very same day, they put temporary crowns in and the pain was gone. I was so grateful for their quick response and their caring nature. ALSO, they may wish to remove the snarky, outdated and frankly cringe‑y "...we cater to cowards..." wording in their brochures and on their waiting room tables. It's just unnecessary. No one enjoys going to the dentist, it's a necessary experience. Here's a few examples to consider: "For anyone who prefers kindness over stress." My husband and two daughters had been…read moreto this practice and things were mediocre ... until their appointment in April and my first appointment with them in June. The new dentists we saw were no longer in-network and we were charged out-of-network costs. Aetna was amazing and did a one-time exception to change those visits to in-network. We had already paid our bill in full, so when First Impressions Dental received the check from Aetna you would think they would reimburse me the amount I had already paid. Nope! Not only did they not get the refund process started (I had to call twice), they claimed we still had a balance. This so-called balance was for "hospitality and in-office write-offs". One was from 2023. Interesting how this popped up out of nowhere two years later... hmm. They cashed the insurance check and instead of paying us back what insurance says we were owed, they're taking back all hospitality and write-offs and returning SOME of the insurance check. Basically being vindictive and taking money from an insurance check to pay themselves back. I've filed an official complaint with Aetna and will update this review once the complaint process with insurance is completed.
