I didn't know what to expect when I drove all the way from D.C. for my initial consultation. But, I should have expected only the best after speaking a couple of times before my visit with "Gabi" to ensure they received the X-rays from my dentist's office. She was professional from start to finish. I was so nervous to have the procedure done: Apicoetomy Anterior on tooth eight along the retrograde filling, per root. But Dr. Suh made it feel like a breeze. Then, when he contacted me later that evening to check up on me to see how I was feeling, I was blown away by his incredible bedside manner. I can't ever remember having ANY dentist, let alone a doctor, reach out to me after a procedure to see if I was okay. Where did he come from? He certainly has set the bar high for his other colleagues. I provided a photo of all the awards he has received, which is a clear indication of why he is recognized highly in the DMV. What a wonderful experience. I came here after having a very bad experience with an endodontist in Fairfax. From the time I scheduled my appointment, I felt the professionalism of this office. They were accommodating and non judgmental. I needed a consult for 2 root canals. The doctor was so thorough in his evaluation - explaining all of my options, patient with every question (I had a lot due to dental anxiety), and was really reassuring throughout the consult. I scheduled the procedure for next day, and it was great. Zero pain, he talked me through the entire process. The procedure was quick, but I could tell he took care in the process. I would recommend this office to anyone who has had a bad dental experience and may be experiencing fear associated with dental anxiety. First off, front receptionist were rude and was not welcoming at all. I patiently waited for my appointment time and asked them if I could use their Wi-Fi. They actually declined my request. 1) how does this dental office not have a guest Wi-Fi for patients. 2) you ARE RUNNING late and your not going to let me use you Wi-Fi for business. 3) insurance related issue is part of a receptionist job duties. Your job is not to sit and look pretty for people. Do your job. This place is terrible. Even if your insurance makes you pay a small copay fee I would avoid coming here. For a place that set up shop at Tyson I would expect more quality and friendly service. Avoid at all cost. p.s. don't tell your manager to reach out and apologize. I saw Dr Nalls today on an emergency visit. Turned out i needed a root canal. I work for TikTok which is a bet stressful and was anxious. Dr Nalls diagnosed the problem within minutes, and spent after hours working on my tooth. I was in intense pain, and am now fine hours later. And the procedure was so easy - he talked me through it and made me calm. He also explained some things he saw on the x-ray that my dentist should keep an eye on. My regular dentist referred me to this practice as I had a severe toothache which she recommend I would need to see an endodontist for further evaluation. With one phone call, Tysons Endodontics was able to see me right away! The office is clean and professional looking with two friendly receptionists working the front desk. I saw Dr. Nalls on that day and he determined that I would need a root canal done. Womp womp. Not really what anybody wants to hear. He was able to accomodate me that SAME day, later in the afternoon and throughout the procedure, he told me what he was doing while performing the root canal. He was extremely gentle, reassuring, and efficient. He called me later that evening to follow up on how I was feeling, which is definitely a first for me. In my experience, any sort of follow up done by a healthcare professional has usually been their receptionist on the following day. Dr. Hsu is a phenomenal, outstanding, and competence endodontist. He is an expert with years of experience who makes you feel comfortable during a root canal. I have never had any pain during or after the procedure, some pressure and mild soreness which is to be expected after a root canal. Dr. Suh is so professional, diligent, and tenacious. He is also a bit of a perfectionist! He first saw me in January 2023, and then saw me four subsequent times (at no additional cost) over the next 5 months because he wanted to be 100% sure the infection from my tooth #9 was completely healed. Dr. Nalls was phenomenal. I was referred here by my general dentist since I had a terrible toothache and my jaw was swelling from an infection I had on an old root canal treatment. I had two visits to get the whole root canal retreatment accomplished. Well three, including consultation. In all three visits, Dr. Nalls was very kind and professional. He answered all my questions in a way that he made sure it was clear to me. His bedside manner is amazing - always checking how I'm doing all throughout the process. And most importantly, the whole process was comfortable. The whole time, I was relaxed as if nothing was going on. You can give credit to technology as well, but Dr. Nalls really made everything soooo easy for me. I was almost looking forward to my second visit after I had the first part done. Sounds weird, I know... who likes getting anything done when it comes to our teeth right? That just says all the more about his skills. After part 1 of my root canal, I didn't feel any discomfort or pain at all and now thay I'm done with part 2, I'm typing this with no pain and I feel like nothing happened. I needed a root canal and my general dentist referred me to Dr. Suh. What started out to be ok (because they were able to fit me in immediately) turned out to be a nightmare. Admittedly I am a VERY anxious patient when it comes to having dental work done. He was so focused on getting the procedure done rather than caring about me as the patient, I just couldn't get comfortable. No walk-through of the process, at one point he even pushed my head down as to indicate to lay down. At that point, I said I can't. I got up and walked out after being numbed without letting him perform the procedure. This was my first root canal. I know it's not all roses, but my gut said this cant be how this experience is supposed to go. His bedside manner left much to be desired. And the funny thing is that I didn't check the previous yelp reviews until after my encounter. It was interesting to see that the reviews that weren't so great all had the same theme ... lack of empathy. I'd definitely say this place is not centered around "patient first" as listed in their bio. If you need some hand-holding to get through your dental procedure, this place isn't it! I went to Tyson's Corner Endodontics on a recommendation from my dentist to see if I needed root canal therapy. After easily setting up an appointment with Dr. Nalls, he quickly isolated the problem, performed the root canal, and had me on my way. He clearly explained what he thought was happening based on my symptoms, walked me through the procedure and made sure to answer any questions I had. I haven't had a root canal done before, but this one seemed about as good as they can be. I didn't feel any pain throughout the entire process, and Dr. Nalls consistently checked in with me to make sure I was doing okay. He also called that night to see how I was doing- I missed the call, but it was definitely a nice touch! I'm a few days into recovery and I've felt fine the entire time. I went back to work immediately after the procedure and the tooth has not bothered me at all. While I hope I don't *need* to go back, if I ever do need any endodontic treatment in the future I'll definitely come back here. Dr. Brian Suh is the best Endodontist that I ever met. He did root canal for my two teeth. He only did an excellent job, but went beyond. When I went back to my dentist for crown work, she was amazed by his work. She told me that Dr. Suh only did the root canal treatment, but also cleaned up many calvity in my tooth. This is not part of work within Endodontist's job. Most Endodontists would not do it. Besides, compared with the the Endodontists I went before, his charge is only half of their prices. Had root canal treatment on 12/10/2019. Dr. Suh Brian provided clear and concise information about the procedure and what to expect. In my experience, the worst part of the procedure was having your mouth wedged open for approximately 90 minutes. If you look forward to a root canal, you should probably get some help. However, Tysons Corner Endodontists may move you in that direction. As one of my teeth was showing internal resorbtion, my dentist referred me to them for a root canal. Since my only root canal experience was overseas, I was justifiably apprehensive. However, after my experience with this firm, I have to say the experience was almost (note the word "almost"...this is a root canal, after all) pleasant. The receptionist was extremely pleasant and made me feel comfortable. The office is spotless and was not ostentatious (those kind of dental offices make me wonder about the amount I'm being charged). I met with Dr. Brian Nall, who took time to patiently and clearly review every step, clarify possible outcomes, and even explained the equipment and procedures he would be using. Here is what I found a bit odd...the procedure was so pain-free and smooth that I found myself drowsing off to sleep in the chair. Afterwards, he scheduled a non-fee follow-up visit in 6 months to verify everything was going well. And the clincher is the call I received later that evening from Dr. Nall, timed to coincide with when the numbing would be gone, asking about my condition, was I in pain, did I have any questions or concerns, etc. To summarize: professional, skilled, comfortable, caring. My parents are patients of Dr Suh and he is an exquisite and gentle dentist. Caring, compassionate and a very good listener. He has performed several root canals for my parents and we have never had an issues. He also follow up via a phone call in the evening after each visit. A few months ago, i was in desperate need of a root canal. Dr. Suh was not available so i saw his associate in the office Dr. Nalls. He to was compassionate, gentle and extremely efficient and articulate in performing the root canal. 60 minutes and it was done. No pain and nothing but relief. This past Easter Sunday, another tooth flared up. I reached out to them that afternoon and on Monday morning, the office called me back and scheduled me for a root canal at 1130AM. Now that's service. Once again, Dr. Nalls took great care of me. He explained all that needed to happen and went to work. 75 minutes later, it was done and i feel like i can once again eat salt water taffy-of course in a week or so! I am petrified of dentists and anyone associated with them - I literally throw up at the thought of going to see them so I avoid them at any cost until I am in dire straights! My dentist recommended Dr Suh as I needed a root canal badly. I made an appointment and forced myself to go. His staff were really friendly and helpful. Dr Suh saw me and I told him of my fears. From minute one, he was gentle with me. He kept asking me throughout the root canal procedure if I was ok and if I was in pain. Dr Suh was so thoughtful towards my fear and nervousness. He finished and I could not believe it - I felt no pain (yes I was still numb from the anesthetic), I had not shed one tear nor had I thrown up! I didn't have ay panic attacks like I normally do.
