This Estimate documented the need for the following replacements: (1) the oil pressure switch, thermostat housing, and power steering pump. On 4/10/2019, Rich replaced the oil pressure switch and thermostat housing. Immediately upon return of the Mustang, the oil-pressure gauge began to intermittently shift from E to F and the dashboard oil-pressure icon illuminated as well. On 4/15/19, the Mustang was returned to Rich's, to remedy the issues of the gauge shift and icon illumination. Bethany Silvia informed me that the problem remained and the condition of the Mustang was my responsibility. On 5/10/19, my wife was driving home, during which the Mustang began a "rat-tat-tat" sound that gained volume. She was less than a mile from Rich's and managed to drive there safely. On 5/14/19, I was informed by Rich that there was a problem with the Mustang "deep in the engine." I then picked up the car from Rich's and drove the Mustang across the street to Karns Automotive Sales & Service, for a second opinion. On 5/15/19, Dan Karns called and indicated the cause of the loud engine noise was the fact that there was no oil in the engine and no reading on the dip stick. Dan added five quarts of oil. The internal noise persists, and the car cannot be driven. A new engine is needed.

After 4+ yrs and over $10,000+ paid in service repairs to Dunn's Corner, we had to face reality…read more As, they started making apts, they never kept-- along with repeated empty promises on completion of repairs and deliver pick up dates. What only resulted in their Keeping our vehicles there on their lot for two months, in one incident. if not 2-3 wks. at least on all other apts. While, taking in others and walk-ins, regardless of apt-commitment to us? They would and did leave the car untouched in their lot without notice and what became further frustrating by our having to check on. This last time cost us 3 prior scheduled apt. Made by Kevin. Furthermore, if we did not question or show up- they would not/ did not call. We finally nailed them down on #4 apt., dropped off of vehicle on a Monday morning..(to start what had been long discussed of transmission replacement). The expense of what was quoted at app $3,500 and to be picked up on Thursday, as Ron and Kevin promised. Yet, Thursday came and went without our hearing from Kevin. So, we had to stop in and were told "wrong parts had been ordered"!? Kevin then said, "Monday the vehicle would be done." Monday no one called --so we stopped in again. Now, we were told "vehicle would be ready on Tuesday". But, the cricket noises started again and so did the empty promises. It continued into Wednesday and Thurs. we stopped in before closing. Friday, finally got vehicle back., after all delay and back and forth during and prior months. At this point, the car we had running was 20+ yrs old. But, now also needed to return for repairs. When, we looked at the bill?...! ..we were astonished to find it was not what was quoted by Ron and/Kevin. But, was additional $2,000+ over original quote. It was an astonishing total of $ 5,500+! In light of all their neglected to scheduled apts., They had no consideration for 2days of our loss wages, and $2,000 over we had not expected! Not to forget. Their empty promises and their wrongful ordering of parts?... We, realized they demanded apt. but did not honor any of their obligations to customers. We were glad to take the vehicle and run-feeling some relief. However, Immediately after picking up the car, it started to buck while driving (entering gears and making rattling noises) and the steering wheel was now rubbing against something too (inside the console) causing a rubbery swishing noise at every turn of steering wheel. All Ron denied, once we toke it back, to be driven by him and look into. He told us to, "just drive it for a while and it would go away." But it only got worse and with all losses adding up to $7,000. We had to avoid long drives and use of vehicle until we could take it in-- to other mechanic. Today, we did just that and were provided a long laundry list of failure test readings. That are a result of Ron's transmission installation. We were hope to be wrong. But, were not surprised (gut feels are always right). We were very disappointed because of all loss earnings, expenses we paid to Dunn's Corner and their total betrayal (Kevin and Ron), Ron installed a faulty transmission system along with leaving all kind of other electrical transmission modules faulty (missing?) and sensors in dis-repaired from past neglect. All added expense. We are beyond vivid and demand our money back, from Dunn's Corners. So, we can make needed repairs, remove Ron's failed transmission and fix all that was left undone at charge. If I do not hear from them with 10 days. I will have to hire a lawyer and sue them. $5,500+ is a lot of money to Intrust onto someone, that's promises to fix a vehicles and ultimately, does not. We are not wealthy. This days cars are a total money pit ( no matter age and/or mileage). More so, when you can not find honest mechanics you can trust! Beware, of how they treat loyal customers, after paying over 10,000+ to them in repairs in last 4 yrs. Do not be a sap, like we were and trust their word, because, it obviously means nothing to Ron and Kevin.

If you own a Volvo 240 (one of the best cars ever made, in my opinion), this is the place you want…read moreto take it for mechanical repairs. The Volvo 240 was last produced in 1993, and many are still running - a testament to their reliability. Still, any car that is more than 25 years old is going to need more frequent maintenance, and the Volvo 240 has its own set of quirks - I know, I used to own one. The owner of Euro-Car Service - a mechanic named Ned - is highly experienced in working on these classic Volvos (as well as other European makes and models). About six years ago, I bought a 1992 Volvo 240 from a used car dealer in Massachusetts, and had to get it inspected in Rhode Island. It failed initial inspection, needing quite a bit of work to pass. Through online forums for classic Volvo owners, I learned that Euro-Car Service was highly recommended. My employer at the time happened to be located close to Euro-Car service, so I was psyched! I dropped the car off in the morning, on my way to work, and my employer or a coworker dropped me back off there after work, so it was convenient for me. Ned properly diagnosed and repaired all the issues, enabling me to get the car re-inspected, with it passing inspection no problem. I'm a pretty handy person and do a fair amount of maintenance and even some smaller repairs on my own vehicles, but for larger repairs, I don't have the time or tools to tackle them. That's where Euro-Car took over; I took my Volvo 240 there probably about four or five times over a span of a couple years, and each time the work was done flawlessly. Euro-Car Service is not the cheapest repair garage around, but Ned's charges are fair, in my opinion (as a part-time wrencher myself, I know it's not easy to work on an old car that has its share of rusty nuts and bolts). Besides, I'd rather pay more and know that something is fixed properly; it always was every time I brought my car here. Ned is also a good guy - a low-key, straight shooter, and an old Volvo aficionado himself. His communication was excellent also; he never kept you hanging. After I dropped my car off in the morning, he would call me once he had diagnosed the problem, and let me know what needed to be done, and how much it would cost. There were never any unpleasant surprises. I ended up selling my Volvo about three years ago, after I bought a used pickup truck. By then, it was in mechanically excellent shape, and Ned and I had worked the bugs out of it. I hated to sell it, but I just couldn't afford to maintain two older vehicles, and I needed the truck for work. I sold the Volvo to some kid; it was his first car. Who knows - someday, I may get another Volvo 240. I hope that Ned will still be around, keeping these awesome cars on the road!
