Let me paint you a picture. It's tax season. You've got a folder (okay, maybe a plastic bag) full…read moreof random receipts, W2s, 1099s, and a whole bunch of questions you've been too afraid to Google. Enter: **Aguilara's Bookkeeping**--a beacon of hope in the stormy seas of adulting. I've been coming here for a while now, and I usually go to Sandra. Sandra is a *queen*--seriously, I'd trust her to handle not just my taxes but probably a small nation's GDP if it came down to it. She's calm, sharp, patient, and somehow makes you feel like everything's going to be okay... even when you forgot to bring that one form you swore you printed last night. But today, I ended up sitting down with **Benji**, and wow--what a pleasant surprise. The man is a bookkeeping wizard. He took one look at my chaotic stack of papers and didn't even flinch. Cool as ice. You can tell this team really knows their stuff--not just in terms of numbers, but in dealing with all types of people and situations without judgment. Like, it's almost suspicious how good they are. Do they teach Jedi mind-calming tricks in bookkeeping school now? What really makes Aguilara's stand out is the energy in the place. It's welcoming, no-nonsense, but still friendly. It's like going to a friend's house, if your friend was a tax expert who had the magical ability to make your financial life feel less terrifying. The whole process was smooth, efficient, and dare I say... *enjoyable*? I know that sounds crazy, but somehow I left in a better mood than when I arrived--and this was a TAX appointment. Also, let's be real--trust is everything when it comes to stuff like this. And I trust Sandra, Benji, and the whole Aguilara crew completely. They're fast, they're honest, they don't make you feel dumb, and they know exactly what they're doing. It's rare to find a place where you feel both professionally taken care of *and* personally respected, but that's exactly what you get here. So if you're tired of stressing about taxes or dreading your next bookkeeping visit--don't. Just come to Aguilara's. They're pros, they're kind, and they might just make you believe that taxes aren't the worst thing in the world.

I was told by Phin that I didn't have any tax deductions. So initially I left it at that. But I personally would rather find another tax person. I drove all that way and spend all that money not to get the best value especially I don't have a heavy amount of expenses; property taxes, dependents, etc. But wish him all the best moving forward just not with me as a tax customer of his establishment.

There are numerous companies that perform this type of work but Wisegarver certainly has the system…read moredown. Since this is a service that you can actually perform yourself (you don't need to be an attorney) the only question you need to ask yourself is: "what is my time worth?" One way to lower your property tax is to show that your home is worth less than its assessed value. You can do the initial research online in just a few minutes or ... you can hire Noel Wisegarver to do it for you. You will pay them 50 cents of every dollar they are able to save you on your tax bill, so its "found money" for you, and found money for them, as they are "almost guaranteed" to get a tax reduction due to their knowledge of the process, and persistence in filing appeals. The reason none of these companies charge an upfront fee is because it is unknown exactly how much the tax reduction will be. With this type of percentage fee structure, "pay us only if we are successful" a revolving door of repeat customers is created year after year from those willing to give it a try, with no upfront obligation. But make no mistake, the obligation will come, perhaps even a year later. I did do research of similar companies that charge less for the same service (30 cents of each dollar they save you), but my experience has thus far been with Wisegarver & Associates and it has been favorable. One note I may add, if you have any questions about their service, comments or complaints, you should ask to speak directly and only to Mr. Wisegarver himself. You will find him to be a reasonable and understanding man who cares about his business.
