This is a decent ASDA, located on Bawtry Road, it is a short distance away from Doncaster town centre, it's close to Dome Leisure Point and the Racecourse, making it easily accessible by most points in the town. I called in here one evening before heading back to my hotel, to grab some milk and essentials to take back to my room, during my 2023 trip to Doncaster, where I stayed at the nearby Hilton Garden Inn. The roof of the store was quite interesting, the striking and unique design can be noticed from a reasonable distance away, in terms of the interior it looks like any other ASDA. There is a Timpson right outside which is open during daytime hours. It was fairly easy to get around the store and find what I was looking for, the mobile signal around the store wasn't the best though, there were some areas where I just couldn't get a service which meant the ASDA Scan and Go app (scan and bag items as you're walking around the store to make it easier when you get to the checkouts) would just lag and time out. The selection of products available seemed fine for a store of its size and the staff were nice enough. Certainly not the best ASDA in the world but a decent store in a decent location. 3* read more

Asda Pharmacy. Shocking !! Rude obtrusive staff. Not helpful at all. 3 days for urgent prescription. Called in today, 1 day early and they said they still have 3 baskets full of prescriptions to do, since Monday (today Wednesday) Said they would have to find it in the basket ? Not bad. ASDA a middle of the road grocery store. It's convenient which is its biggest positive. We've been going to this ASDA for over 17 years. Pros: Lots of parking fuel center in the parking lot open 27 hours a day except Sunday has an electronic & clothing section Friendly staff that's ok with an American and swipe only cards (no chip and pin) Cons: sometimes out of items has a clothing section that is nasty cheap only one way in/out of the parking lot This place gets crazy busy sometimes and the aisles are packed. You know when it's empty? Midnight. We went there one night really late and it was deserted. If I had known better, we would have gone to the new Morrison's on the other side of LakeSide and only gone to ASDA for quick stuff. This isn't really the best Asda in the world but it's the only one in the area and therefore somewhere that I find myself at least once a week. Prices are generally good for groceries compared to Tesco and Sainsburys, and they have quite a good selection of food. There'a also loads of clothing (which always seems to be a bit confusing in layout, maybe that's just me) and several aisles of other general stuff, electrics etc, which for some reason also includes all baby things like nappies and baby food. Perhaps a clever marketing ploy, as you could otherwise bypass the non-food part of the store completely if it wasn't for the need to go right at the entrance to buy toiletries and baby goods. There is a pharmacy but it's hidden away in the corner. There's also a cafe but it's tiny and doesn't do a full range of food. Which is fine, as I don't particularly want to eat in there anyway! I ALWAYS check my receipt here, and at least 50% of the time I have to queue up at customer services for some sort of refund as the tills are terrible at pricing things wrongly. read more

Sadly let down by a few assistants in the pharmacy who informed me it would take 8 hours to dispense an urgent prescription. When I asked why it would take so long when tesco did it in 10 minutes she said " well go to Tesco then"So from now on I will. Including for all.my groceries. Very rude and unhelpful...I can understand why she was the only one not wearing a name badge and I had to ask her name. read more

This is a large supermarket but not one of the Supercentres. Its a bit of a mish mash - both the car park and store has been extended, modified and refurbished many times, leaving a large, but ultimately confusing collection of departments. There is a large clothing area, a fairly big entertainment and electrical dept, and a normal food hall. Sadly this seems to be the supermarket of choice for the local chavs, and there is always something going off between them and staff at the store entrance. A petrol station is near the entrance, but only takes cards. Petrol is always the cheapest in the area though. Lots of choice, but needs work! read more

I really enjoy shopping here ,they have a huge range of products ,and all are good value,there childrens clothes are really good quality and good value especially childrens coats and party dresses,they have recently opened a jewlery section that sells both fashion and real gold products and thease are also good value. they only thing I have to watch when I shop here is buying to much,Im sure their trollies are bigger than other supemarkets,and as they have so much choice and so many iles you dont realise how much you have put in your trolly,a few times ive been shocked at the checkout when my bill has cost a lot more than expected,but when ive got home and unpacked ,I realise I have actually bought alot more than my usuall shop(tesco) read more

This is a really big Asda with a massive food section, plus loads of non-food stuff including George clothing. It's in quite a good location just next to Donny Dome and not far from Lakeside. There's a large car park which is a nightmare on a Saturday. They now advertise that you'll be fined if you park in parent & toddler spaces without kids, but I've yet to see it happen and it really gets on my wick, as these spaces are designed to help keep kids away from the busier parts of the car park, but instead are full of chavs in Novas. For that reason, I go to Sainsbury's instead if I can. Good prices, awful clientelle. read more

Shopping here is not a pleasurable experience, whilst Asda is competitive on price this store is badly laid out with toiletries at one end of the store away from the groceries.To say that this is a 24 hour store is a bit of a joke as the shelves are often bare and not restocked until the following morning - particularly the fresh goods.Parking here can be a bit of a nightmare - although there is a massive car park this is often used by local visitors to the Doncaster Dome leisure centre. read more

In terms of accessibility, this supermarket is probably the most convenient in the whole of Doncaster as it is in a very central location. As a result it compromises on space, compared to Tesco in the outskirts of Doncaster it is relatively small, but still large enough to meet most people's needs- although the other day I could not find any tennis balls. ASDA is always very good value though, and the aisles are very clearly mapped out so it is easy to navigate. Best to go very early of late to avoid the peak times as it can be very difficult to find a parking space and it is so crowded on a Sunday afternoon- don't go then. Open 24 hours read more

Car park gets full on match days bring back the barriers! Great offers and big savings to be made!

Great place some great products and good offers BUT they are crafty. On busy days they won't stock up the shelves with offers or budget items. This has happened many times which leads me to think they do this so you have no choice but to buy the more expensive brand/product. I really don't like this as I think its very wrong and would rather use Tesco where I know what I want will be there and that the offers they have will actually be available. read more

well im really disappointed in this doncaster store this week went last week 7.11.12 and seen some massive monster trucks on the shelf for £30 reduced from £50 but at the time we never had enough money on us and plus my little boy was with me asked a member of staff if the offer will still be on this week which he told me ye i think so, So i went back this week managed to find one took it to the till and it was £50 i explained what the person had said and that i wanted to see a manager after 20 minutes a woman said i had to leave my name and number and someone would phone me today well they never i had to phone him for him to say that they have never been £30 and calling me a lier but not in them words but that what he ment i am now going to take this further if anybody did see these for sale at £30 last week please can you comment on here read more
