I will not be back, I had this issue happen twice in the last two weeks with leaked terpenes. The first time they replaced it, then they gave me $5 the second time. This place does not care about the quality of products given to the customers. The manager said that the liquid terpenes were easily retrievable. I also sent a video of how dried out the product was. As a medical patient I am disrespected. read more

Ascend Cannabis Dispensary - Collinsville - Ruined product - Cannabis Clinics Near Me - Collinsville, Illinois

First time going to a dispensary and to ever buy weed. I don't know much about it but curious and eager. Though I was strangely scared and awkward about it. When I entered the was a guy/guide who asked if I have been there before and I said no. He proceeded with explaining how one would buy. There is a terminal like a large ipad/monitor where you shop for what you want. I was surprised to know that there are so many categories (stick, buds, edibles etc.) and varieties. Each item has a description like flavor profiles and chemical content percentages and stuff. You then check out and then like at a pharmacy, you get called when it is ready. It is not FDA approved and so it's cash only. Credit cards cannot be used to pay. I felt adrenaline just having to go through this buying experience yeah I'm square. read more

I am a medical patient and when I buy they always do something to screw up my license to where I have 30 days to fix the license issue caused by Ascend or my license is denied. These gas station employees are not qualified to handle any kind of medical care, pharmaceuticals, documentation or licensing for any REAL medical patient. I have a brain disease and now have to deal with this shit AGAIN FROM ASCEND! I will never go back! Every employee looks like they're fresh out of rehab with teeth missing, bad hygiene, and a crooked smile doesn't mean you really know wtf you're talking about! read more

The breadth of this review will be extremely narrow for rather obvious reasons. Long story short, there's ample parking behind the place, enough security to make the secret service blush, and the people that work here are extremely helpful while clearly enjoying the work they do. Be prepared to have your ID out and sunglasses/hats off at the front door and keep your ID handy as you'll need it to check out. The selection is pretty strong and the prices are what they are. Was basically in and out in around 15 minutes. For any curious three letter agency folks, I only bought perfectly legal CBD products... read more

This is (was) actually my favorite dispensary. Easy process, always a really great selection, not the worst prices. Cutting to it, now I'm never going back if I can help it. Today marks the second time the door employee has either hit on me or actually asked me out. After the first instance, when he asked me out, I told an employee what happened and who did it and they said they would do something about it. Clearly nothing happened because two weeks later, today, he's working the same position and hits on me again. It'd be one thing if he was my age but this guy is 40 at the very very least. I'm 23, gay, and a woman alone -- I officially no longer feel safe here. Additionally, other men, older than him, have also hit on me at this location. Y'all, I'm not *that* cute. I don't talk to anyone when I'm there and I always stare at the ground or my phone. I'm not single, I'm not trying to mingle, I went looking frumpy *on purpose* before any of these interactions happened. I no longer feel safe at this dispensary, will not come back, and will advise women to steer clear. TL;DR - Women looking for a dispensary to go to alone, I strongly encourage you to look elsewhere. read more

Why are the cashiers always here always so rude? I'm always friendly and outgoing. I don't know if these people are just rude or homophobic. Either is unacceptable ifor people working in retail. If they can't hack it then don't work with the public. Going to the dispensary should not feel like going to the dentist!!! read more

Difficult process to buy here; order online, then park and walk about 75 yards to wait in a long line, they verify that you have already ordered, then you wait a lot longer. After 25-30 mins they let you inside, where they fill your order. You can buy add-on items, but nothing is visible - no display. Much more difficult than in CO, and also more expensive. read more

Ascend is probably the worst dispensary I have ever been to, THE FLOWER I GET IS ALWAYS JUST DRY AND CRUMBLES INTO DUST. I pay way to much money for this sub par, inferior product they sell, they should be ashamed and someone do quality control. Plus I was standing there for about 3 minutes, while the worked we're talking. COLLINSVILLE IL LOCATION read more

This place has become a joke. The only reason there ever was to shop here was for the discounts to which they have gutted and are no longer existent. They used to be chill about stacking discounts as well and actually making medicine affordable, but now all these cashiers will do all they can to make sure their corporate masters make every penny possible. Not to mention most of the time you can find the same products for cheaper at other stores. read more

Broke my ID, laughed at me and refused service. And I went in there with an ID that had a small crack the idiot taking the IDs at the door who was clearly high snatched it out of my hand and broke it through and through. He then had the nerve to tell me he couldn't except the ID. He went to get his manager. She backed him up, said the idea was broken when I came in, refused to look at the footage of her employee damaging my property. I inquired with her if anyone intended to like give me the 10 or $15 I was going to need to replace what he had broken. She laughed at me and said they wouldn't. The problem with this place is people don't know how to raise their kids . Their employees aren't just lazy, they are needlessly, hateful and disrespectful to their customers. They are also pathological liars. They tell you extract a solventless when it says on the box it's made with butane. They tell you whatever they have to do to sell you were more expensive product and they love expensive junk that isn't worth it. In my time going there I've seen them bait and switch and have had products come very light missing over 50% of the weight. I've never complained about that; because read the other reviews; they never do anything about it. I draw the line at breaking my things and laughing about it. Don't go here these are truly bad people. They are dishonest they rip people off they break the law left and right they just don't care. I'm probably going to write the Better Business Bureau about this, but there's really nothing else I can do. Still, since you were all terrible enough to force me to go to the DMV I figured I'd take time out of my day to see if I could dissuade some potential business away from your door and warn people about how truly wretched you are, and how terrible all of your parents are for the way they raised you. Shame. On. You. read more

Came into the shop and received a full run explanation of Vapes and cartridges. King took the time to help me sort through the various choices based on my needs. I saw the other reviews after I purchased, and they don't represent my experience. This was a hassle free, comfortable purchase. The shop is impeccably clean, and organized. I'll be coming back... read more

Ascend is the only dispensary I've been to since being in Illinois. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable about what they're selling. Prices are insane but they're insane all over because Illinois taxes the crap out of THC. No complaints really besides the price (ascend has 'ascenders' club which you can join for free and get deals) and the inability to see what you're buying before you buy it. Both of those things are out of the dispos hands though. Overall it's a straightforward dispo with easy to follow signage and friendly staff. read more

They do not accept contactless payment as is advertised online. ATM also does not accept tap to pay.

Absolutely horrendous customer service, lady serving me told me I can't order from the menu up front because "it says why on the paper" and then leaves the paper in front of my face like I'm a child. Disgustingly disrespectful, on top of that she told me I had to order more things on the menu in order to actually be able to purchase an item, don't go here, unless you particularly like being disrespected and mistreated read more

Sales aren't respected. Went in today with an order that added up to 110$ before tax (7g of Mac 1 and 7g of animal cookies). They were out of the Mac 1 - I ordered at 6am and came to pick it up at 9:45am (my allotted time slot). The price on the website was 50$ for the animal cookies popcorn and 60$ for the Mac 1 popcorn. After a long time at the register trying to find a replacement for the one they were out of they had a manager finally come over. He barely looked me in the face. The place was packed so I wanted to leave. I should have paid more attention to the receipt. I ended up paying 60$ for animal cookies and 70$ for the replacement bud. Once I got in the car I realized the ridiculousness and why my checkout lady seemed perplexed when reading my receipt. They acted like they were doing me a favor taking 10$ off a bud I didn't even order but had to settle for. Cut to the car- I look at the receipt and realize I was screwed over not once but twice. 20$ is a ton of money at Christmas- especially these days. I know they were overwhelmed but I have no recourse other than to leave a review saying they screwed me. I've been going to this dispensary since it opened. I'll use up the points I've saved and never go back. read more

My experience was pretty amazing today. I drove to 2 Executive Drive, Collinsville, IL, 62234. There was clear entrance where all the cars had to enter. I drove in and went to the parking place they asked us to park at. There someone at least every 20-30 feet which made it impossible to not know where the entrance is. You wait in a waiting room, get in the main part of the building. It feels super similar to being at a big amusement part, but instead of a roller coaster ride you get weed. I worked with Connor K (ID: 51621) and he was a peach. The whole time he hyped me for the order, gave advice about dosage, and was just a kind, efficient, & friendly guy the whole time. I recommend keeping your id and confirmation email/text out because they do see it at least 3 times. read more

I've been to the Ascend in Fairview Heights. Friendly, professional place. This location is as unwelcoming as I've seen. Recreational buyers have to park in another parking lot on the next property and as you're trying to walk in, someone yells at you to walk around outside a fence. About five people working the lot, just a lot of unnecessary hassle. Been to many dispensaries here and elsewhere, this was by far the least pleasant. The fact that the sister store is nothing like this just makes me shake my head. read more

Out of state Oklahoma here. This place is a cluster *uck straight from hell. First as soon as you pull in prepare for the beta test on how many people it takes to tell you where to park. Than let's take a walk inside the store. Lines and arrows lead the way as if I couldn't follow childlike directions. No glass jars displaying product. Everything is Pre-bagged before hand. It's pathetic. I thought I went to get a joint not go to Walmart for an extra dose of pain...Look for a place with less idiots and better prices. Illinois you can keep your weed...I'm going home :) read more

Talked to some tall burly security-type guy. He was so incredibly rude!! I had tried to call ahead three times and no one picked up. When I pulled into the lot he asked me if I was recreation or medical. I told him recreational to which he shook his head and said "you're not even supposed to pull in this parking lot. You're supposed to park in the back lot. This lot is only for Medical use." He then asked " did you make an order?" I said I had not because I had questions but I need an answer before I made a decision and he rolled his eyes " you don't know nothing about these products??" And I said "No, it's not been legal until recently". He told me to go online and educate myself. I told him "I have been reading online but still had questions" he kept interrupting me when I was trying to tell him the problems I had attempting to call the store. He sounded disgusted that I had the audacity to call " well we're really busy and we don't have time to have someone answer the phone". I asked him "what about people who drive really far to come here?" He just rolled his eyes and shook his head again. This guy He also informed me that the store was totally out of everything recreational and I could try ordering something now then coming back in the afternoon but I probably wouldn't be able to get a slot or any products. He also told me that if I want to find out about the products, I should just buy something small to try. I know this was probably rude of me but I replied "Or I'll just go somewhere else" I don't think I'll be back. This was really unpleasant read more

This place will rob cheat and steal from you Then they will grab your wallet out of your back pocket as you're walking out of the store and put their hands on you and accuse you of stealing stuff in front of everyone embarrass you and then say oh I apologize Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else I do not know how this place has a 3+ star review when they Accost their customers read more

They've definitely improved their method of taking customers to the dispensary from the parking lot. Very little wait time now. Staff is always kind and knowledgeable. My only complaint is there is no reward system in place, anymore. There are no perks to coming to Ascend, especially with all neighboring dispensaries opening up. I've spent almost $2,000 here in the last MONTH, and have literally nothing to show for it. Not even a free lighter lol. This is a bit ludicrous, considering every single dispensary I've ever visited has had a reward system in place for loyal customers. The only perk to being a part of Ascend's loyalty program are the text message reminders of discounts... which are the same brand, same strains. Always. read more

I visited Ofallon Il. This last week 18th to the 22cd of April, I'm from Sacramento Calif. the service and there knowledge was top notch. Thank you, Ascend ,week done. And another Thank you,to the very Pretty girl that helped me the 2 times I came in. You no who are, Superb! read more

Ascend has very good selection of a wide variety of cannabis products. Plus, most of the staff is very friendly and helpful. However there's room for improvement...your parking lot is in desperate need of instructional signage to help guide people. For example, markings on the ground, posted signs to direct to exit, or construction cones or boundaries places in locations that are "off limits". Often, it is expected that customers know "what to do, when to do it, and where to go". Ascend can be more proactive in communication or directions to customers on site - it would prevent frustrations for all parties! read more

I'd give this place 0 stars. I understand there are "COVID" precautions, etc. BUT this place is SO beyond controlling from the moment that you drive up into just ONE of THREE parking lots being utilized. BUT you don't know which parking lot you're allowed to pull into until you get there. Why isn't this information in the email receipt that you're asked to show when you pull up? That would be helpful, first of all. THEN, you're instructed to go and park, whether in that parking lot of having to drive to another. Now, the parking lots are occupied by at least 10-15 dispensary workers. WHY!? Why does it take 2-6 people standing in a parking space to direct me to drive into it? That's frustrating in itself... it makes me feel incompetent. Really unnecessary. Then, you're asked to show your email confirmation code. I cannot tell you how many times these people have such a negative attitude when asking for this info. Not only that, but just tonight, I was asked by THREE other people to show the exact same info. Unnecessary. I can't understand why it's ok for these dispensary workers to talk to clients however they want. I see a bunch of kids that just stand around and take serious pride in bossing people around. It's absurd. This place is beyond stressful. If you suffer from anxiety, please be very aware that this place is probably only going to make it worse. I sincerely would send someone for you or just try a different place, even if it's a drive to get there. I will never come back to this place again. They don't deserve my business. I won't allow myself to be treated like that ever again! read more

I went for the first time and found the initial process a bit odd at first. Looked like you were walking into some type of intake (dark, concrete, small, basically creepy) but then the staff started talking and everything felt different. great place bro love this place a lot very nice people adore coming here forsure & great people awesome atmosphere Dj rocks

very efficient process. helpful staff. would be a 5 star but for 3 things: prices are much more expensive for lower quality stuff than in dispensaries I've been to in Oregon and Colorado. Might be Illinois taxation rates, idk you don't get a real good chance to talk about your choices with a bud tender they don't seem to offer solvent-less no one tincture but I gave the 4 stars because everyone I spoke with was friendly and efficient read more

I have enjoyed every purchase from here. Not much guidance on what to chose so look online for other people's opinions before purchasing if you are that type of individual. Everything has overall improved from opening day. Lines are shorter, on site parking for rec. employees are generally cool people. Some can be jerks but that's not Ascends fault, lol.
