It isn't the…read moremost exciting review but I was extremely impressed with the staff there that I felt they deserved to get some nice comments out of me. I went to this bank to deposit some money into a friends account. I wanted the money to go in straight away so they informed me that I could do this via their cash depositing ATM which is just outside their store. A staff member came out with me and stood there helping and explaining everything to me for about 10 minutes and making sure I was happily on track with what I was doing. They were very friendly and it was the end of the day too when most people have had enough and I was being slightly retarded not reading out the bank account number properly and not understanding how to put the coins into the machine etc but they were very polite and patient! 2 thumbs up Westpac Saint Lukes!

As of now...im finding it an extremely long wait for my debit card…read more I arranged to have this item couriered to this branch last week (for a fee of course), with me pop in to pickup and sign it. I have personally visited the branch since the confirmation that the item is on its way (by Courier) only to be told that it was not in yet... The staff member who served me on the day of my visit appeared puzzled that the card was still not on site given that enough time had passed for delivery (she kindly agreed to waive the Courier fee, yep! brilliant no prob, cheers). Update: Another day has gone by without any contact from the branch. Hmmm..hope the Courier guy hasn't misplaced or forgotten to deliver to the branch. Hope the branch contacts the Courier company to check what's happened. Hope they get back to me soon to just check in and give me a 'sitrep'. Hope i get a call about er...hope hope, hopety hope... This would not be too much of an issue usually however the reason it is an issue is - i have online purchases backed up some days now. P.S. Mount Eden Post Shop is slightly different. Yes, there's sometimes a line, but more often than not there isn't. I think it's because the place is tiny - nobody knows it exists. Come think of it, the establishment is smaller than my bedroom. Cramped yes, but I like to think of it as cosy. What they lack in size they make up for in politeness and sometimes even friendliness - especially towards the regulars (ie. Me).

They have a selection of greeting cards, prepaid gift cards and a couple of computers available for customers in the branch. The staff are efficient, however there are normally long wait times! This is my local so I usually tolerate the delays ha! It makes a difference though when they apologise and smile.

They always take extra time to ensure that you're completely satisfied with the service, rather than rushing your transaction through when there's a queue behind you or it's just before closing time. There are two separate queues, for the Post Office and for Kiwibank, which is great if you just want to deposit some money or make a withdrawal and you can bypass the people posting big parcels. It's conveniently located at the Three Lamps end of Ponsonby Road, with an ATM machine outside. There'll often be a busker located conveniently beside said ATM... so withdrawal with caution or you may be guilt-tripped into parting with your cash sooner than expected!

The kind people at the post shop here really helped me out, by suggesting an easier option of having it delivered to the post shop itself and I would collect it from there. The post shop not being far from my place, I was happy. The lady I talked too once I got there was so helpful, and found my parcels quick smart. She offered me a smile and a seasonal candy cane and I was on my way.

In every one I have been to the staff are always so polite and nice and weirdly calm. Even during the chaotic christmas time when theres lines for miles. I am terrible at posting and postage and postal whatever. They always know what to do. And even more the other day I was so surprised when I went in to do a posting of something picked the packaging ripped it open put my stuff in it took it to the counter and then expected a simple transaction. And the lovely lady actually said to me oh no dear you can actually get a much cheaper option - and went on to show me how to work their products to the best of my value. Who does that! What company wants me to spend less on their products. It was so refreshing to get such lovely service. My local in Titirangi is especially awesome. A lovely older lady and a husband and wife team running it. It is the smallest little spot ever but still brilliant.

In fact the only reason I'm this Westpac branch three stars is for the fabulous customer service I get from the teller called Keiko when I visit. Keiko is the nicest teller I've ever been served by, anywhere. She's so smiley and she chats to you in a totally relaxed way...like you're both (shock horror) real people! She's also really fast and knows her job well. She usually sits to the far left of the row of tellers, so cross you fingers while you're in line and you might just get Keiko the next time you spend your lunch hour in the queue!

Now that internet banking is the easy way to go I don't really pop into the bank on a regular basis however, what is great about the recent National Bank and ANZ Bank merger is that, aside from the colour change, things don't appear any different to me the customer. I am greeted by the same old friendly staff who are working hard behind the counter. They are still offering my family and I great personable service. My children are now old enough to play a more active role in their banking and they've been happy with the down to earth service the good guys at ANZ Glen Eden give.

I don't have a great credit history so I thought I would get declined again but I got a message asking for my bank statements and licence and got approved the next day. Really friendly and helpful guy on the phone too. Got my car sorted, the guy even got me a few hundred of the price when he called the dealer.

Now, I'm not a Kiwibank customer, but I come to the post office a lot as I do a lot of mailing, and to register the car etc. The New Lynn branch of the Post Office is great. The staff are pleasant and always helpful when figuring out what packaging to get with what item and how to make it as cheap as possible. The only thing is it can get pretty busy because of its location, so I've found my self waiting in line for quite a while on more than one occasion, but I guess some people have lots of stuff they have sort out.
