ASB Auto has no problem taking absolute advantage of individuals with credit issues. It is NOT always irresponsibility on the part of the consumer. My own issues were the direct result of the Respondent in my divorce acting in a fraudulent manner. I will be paying on an 18 year old vehicle for another two years (4 years total). Wade openly provided us with the most recent inspection from the independent garages he used, the carfax, and walked through the car with us. I had a great experience with ASB! Wade was friendly, knowledgeable, TRUSTWORTHY, honest. I explained my situation and what my budget was. He gave me a good deal on my trade in. He was very thorough and explained everything to me. If I didn't understand something, he took the time to expain further. He was easy to work with and has a great personality. A few days after I got my truck, there was an intermittant glitch with the AC. I called him to see what to do. He told me to bring it down and he would pay to fix it. I was so relieved!! Most dealers would not have done that and I'm so grateful that he MADE IT RIGHT! He also went the extra mile for me to switch out the trailer braking system from my old truck to my new one. If I could give this place less than 1 star, I certainly would. This was the most unprofessional and disorganized place ever, not even taking into account the low quality cars they have. They had prices on the windshields to sucker you in and then the miles were outrageous like you couldn't believe!!!! A lot of the cars were 200K miles and above. I can sum up the cars there in 3 words: PIECES OF JUNK! I strongly advise you to shop somewhere else and keep driving past this place... it will save you time and your piece of mind. My husband and I ended up buying an xterra from these guys, it had low mileage and was unusually low priced, but my husband wanted it. Two days after we bought this vehicle, ended up needing $1800 in repairs, for fuel pump and timing belt. Now I know why the vehicle was priced WAY below blue book. Lesson learned. So I bought a 03 Nissan Murano the day before thanksgiving and the total price was 7000 (which originally they wanted 6950). The day after I bought it, the "service engine soon" light came on. I called our salesman "Ron" on Friday (day after thanksgiving) and they said they will have their guy check it out. I go to their guy and he checks the code and says I "have a evap leak which I need a new gas cap". He doesn't have one in stock so I come back Monday. He replaces the cap and uses his machine to take off the code. Almost 2 weeks later, the light comes on again. I call Ron and tell him the light came on again and he states "that means the car needs maintenance. Check the fluids and It should be good. In the manual it should also tell you how to reset that light". All fluids were fine and there was nothing in the manual about taking off the light. After the light has been on for a few weeks, I go to AAMCO and get it checked out and they said one of my catalytic converters was out (there are 3 on the car and only one was out). At that time, I barely put maybe 300 miles on if that. So shortly before I am about to get it fixed the next week, my gear shaft becomes stuck and I cannot put the car in reverse or in park. Come to find out, the computer for the transmission gear shaft had to be replaced. I called Ron and explained to him that these things should not be happening after only owning the car for less than 2 months. Things from there escalated. I even spoke to the owner and he could care less about our car problems because we had bought the car "as is" and he wasn't willing to help with anything. Finally, after my husband spoke to him, the owner (who never one time mentioned his name) said he would help with one of these problems, so we decided the gear shaft considering we couldn't even park the car or take the key out the ignition. After waiting a few days, we never got a call so we went and fixed the gear shaft at AAMCO for almost 400 bucks. We pick the car up Monday and the light was off and things were ok. Tuesday, went out of town and on our way back to town, the car lost power while driving on the freeway. Had to get the car towed home. Wednesday, I get the battery checked and it was fine and got the started and alternator checked and find out the alternator was very bad. Got the alternator replaced Thursday at Firestone for almost 600 dollars. Friday, valentines day, I drive to Roseville and a part broke off and had to get the car towed home again. To find out the idle pulley and drive belt broke and needed to get replaced as well. That was another 250. The service engine light has been on again and I go to a muffler shop for the catalytic converter to find out the light is on not only for that but a evap leak. The shop stated there are two codes showing for the evap leak and when I told them about the first time that was an issue, they stated it is more than just the fuel cap. That means more money having to spend before I even got to fix the c.converter. With that being said, I have still not heard from the owner of this dealership nor the salesman. I did not pay $7000 for a car to have to spend another 1500 plus the other repairs that have to be done as well. They do not care about you or your business, they only want your money because once me and my husband were interested in the car, they tried to pull so many deals out their a$$es to get us to buy it on the spot. We did test drive the crap out the car, we love the car, but we do not like having to do all this within 3-4 months of having the car. I HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND GOING HERE. I believe the company is against women due to them not letting me explain the situation of the car and them not wanting to work anything out but my husband speaks to them and they are "understanding" and "willing to help" which is B.S. because they have still not called. Please dont ever buy a car from ASB. They are the biggest frauds in Sacramento. They sell absolute trash cars. I bought a car from here for $4600. Ron assured me that the car had absolutely no problems and they had checked out everything. Within 1 week the car started having problems. When I took it to a local garage they told me that the car had various problems - axle torn, belt cracked, engine mount broken etc. I called up Ron to ask if these repairs really need to be made, since they had checked the car. He assured me that there was nothing wrong with the car. Then the transmission broke down within another week. I asked ASB to buy the car back. Another ASB guy Al offered me $1500. But kept postponing the payment for 1 month. Whenever I called him he was very rude and insulting.After trying for 1 month, I have now sold the car as junk. I lost $4000 in 2 months and my mistake was purchasing the car from ASB. If possible I would give them negative stars. read more
