My studio…read moreapartment has old, damaged walls and a lot of furniture packed into a small space, which made the job more challenging. I was overwhelmed with this project, but Keith was totally unfazed--they worked efficiently, painting one wall at a time and carefully navigating around everything without any issues. They were professional, respectful of my space, and went above and beyond to get the job done within the expected timeframe. Now, my walls are clean, fixed, and freshly painted--and I absolutely love how the space feels. I couldn't be happier with the results. And it was very reasonably quoted. When I removed some paintings and other items from the walls, it was clear that there was more damage than it was initially visible, Keith fixed it all but insisted on maintaining the original quote. Did I say Keith was so flexible throughout this project? Highly recommend!

(Every other person we emailed for a quote did the same. None came to visit, and with COVID I was cool with that.) His quote was consistent with most of the other highly rated folk we reached out to for quotes. What set him apart was his clear emails with detailed pricing. It was clear that he knew painting was expensive, and people imagine doing everything at once and think of it as all-or-nothing. His pricing model showed it was some-at-a-time. (We did go all in though :) ) He was very responsive on email and answered questions from the mundane to the esoteric with patience and clarity. He came the day before the job was supposed to start to drop off supplies and map out everything that was should happen with me and his team. His team was great, polite, and professional. The speed and quality of the work was amazing. Everyone was happy to answer questions and explain what was happening. For me, the true test was with an accident that happened. Relatively minor, but Damian took full ownership and made it right without any discussion. That is how you do it. He gave great advice throughout the process, and respected what I needed. Have already asked for quotes on additional spaces in the house. Highly recommend.

I have worked with a lot of contractors, painters etc. over the years and experienced listening to excuses, broken promises, flat out lies and price gouging. Hiring Lazio completely restored my faith in working with a contractor, because never once did he attempt to mislead or overcharge me. He is fair, truly a man of his word and did everything he promised. Actually he did even more than he promised, thats how much he cares about the quality of work he does. Lazio worked on my house (which was a 5 week project) inside and out and was there nearly every single day until it was completed. He was respectful, has a great upbeat positive "can do" attitude, and has a fantastic eye for detail and style. From start to finish, Enea and his team were professional, organized, and truly skilled at what they do. I've worked with contractors before, and let's be honest--finding a reliable one in NYC isn't easy. AEC wasn't the cheapest option, but they were absolutely worth every penny. They handled everything--kitchens, bathrooms, new plumbing, electrical work, and AC unit installations--and the final result exceeded my expectations. That says everything about the kind of quality they deliver. If you're looking for a contractor who delivers real value, stands by their work, and makes the renovation process as smooth as possible, I highly recommend American Elite Contractors Inc.
