I come here because it's right by my house and have had a lot of massages over the past year. The spa itself is really nice and relaxing. A couple times the massages were just okay, but any time I've seen Salem they have been amazing! She's consistent and really listens to me when I tell her where I'm hurting and my problem areas . Super relaxing, perfect pressure, she's professional and I always feel so much better afterwards. I highly recommend her! I do have a few things I wish they could improve on: *Having a couple designated parking spots in front for the spa would be nice. I usually have to park super far away and the parking lot gets a little chaotic because of the gym. *I wish they would ask me if I want to rebook before I leave! I always mean to ask but I'm usually too sleepy to think about it but I would probably come in so much more often if they did. *I don't receive appointment confirmations or reminders. I always remember but it would be nice to know that my appointments are confirmed on their end. read more

Asante Spa has great facials and massages. Brittany, Heidi, and Megan have provided my group with excellent services. That being said, Asante is not good for groups. My group of 3 has tried to set up spa days at Asante multiple times, and it is always very difficult to schedule. Asante just does not have the ability to accommodate groups. The spa manager, Tracy, is rude and unpleasant to deal with on the phone. We kept going to Asante, because the massages and facials were always great. Our last visit was the final straw. We had two derma plane facials and one massage scheduled. Tracy had to call to change the time of our spa services because they had an esthetician leave and had to schedule one facial with a new esthetician. The facial type was NEVER mentioned during this call, only the time change. When we arrived on the day of our spa services, the esthetician was not certified to do a derma plane facial. This was a surprise to us, and when questioned the esthetician brought in Tracy, the spa manager, to help figure it out. Tracy came into the room with a very negative attitude right away. She insisted she did tell us about the facial type changing during the phone call. She was unnecessarily aggressive and rude. She offered no apologies or willingness to figure out the situation; she simply wanted to argue that we were told about the change. A different type of facial was not a huge problem; we were just surprised about the change and had never been informed. The esthetician provided great service and was apologetic over the situation. When we were ready to pay, Tracy was at the desk. She did end up giving the facial free. Again, she was not friendly, or apologetic. Her exact words were "I'm not going to make you pay for a service you didn't want," with the same aggressive tone. Tracy's approach to the situation was just bad overall. Tracy is not someone who should be the face of a high-end spa like Asante. She has really given us a negative impression of Asante. read more

I have been going to Asante Spa for about 15 years and always have found their massages enjoyable. After a workout or if I have had an injury, they always help! They have a wide range of options but I usually get a deep tissue and occasionally, a hot sone massage. Times very as well...up to two hours. I got a facial done here after the family my face got swollen I called them back to tell them I wasn't happy with facial they told me we would give you a free facial I told them I wanna give it to my SIL. ( who the time got a facial with me ) I said I don't wanna come back because of what happened to my face . but i want sil to use it for her facial with the lady that did her facial . they said ok when sjes ready to book call her we will get her in. I have called 3 times and they put me on hold for very long time never get back to the phone , or they hang up on me . when i tried calling back they would send me to voicemail. Today I called again kelly picked up I told her the story she said oh ok hold on, she came back to phone and kept saying hello , hello was acting like she can't hear me and hung up on me.... of course i kept calling back they sent me to voicemail every time . they play games . I tore my ACL and had a lot of swelling in my knee & calf. My physical therapist had me doing some lymphatic Drainage techniques to help with the swelling. I noticed a sign about a Lymphatic Drainage massage while at the gym & my physical therapist encouraged me to make an appointment. I scheduled an appointment with Kara, Kara took time to ask questions about my injury before the massage. The next day, I noticed that my knee felt lighter & had a greater range of motion. I was able to get in two more massages before my surgery, & have scheduled a massage soon after surgery. I recommend a Lymphatic Drainage massage if you are recovering from an injury. read more

I have been going to Asante Spa for 8 years. My husband and I have had several massages and facials. I booked a facial for myself and a friend as well as a massage for a Sunday. When I called to book, I asked about the various types of facials and the costs. The facial I was most interested in getting was a hydrafacial for $199. When I arrived, I met with my esthetician and she discussed 3 different facials. I chose the hydrafacial. When it was time to check out, I was told my hydrafacial was $275. Shocked by the price, I told the front-desk person that I was NOT told my hydrafacial would be $275, otherwise I would have chosen another service. She stated that I was given a "deluxe" hydrafacial. My esthetician DID NOT tell me she was upselling me nor did she discuss any pricing with me or mention that I was getting a "deluxe" hydrafacial. I complained, and the front-desk person said she would let their spa manager know about my dissatisfaction. I paid $315 AFTER TIP for this "deluxe" hydrafacial that I didn't agree to and left with my experience completely ruined. When I called to speak to the spa manager, it was even worse. I was peppered with questions when I called to speak with the manager like it was The Inquisition and made to feel VERY uncomfortable and unwelcomed. I was met with, the most condescending and combative attitude by this spa manager, "Yes, I know who you are, my staff told me about you. I am sorry you feel that you were not told the proper pricing, but my esthetician told me that she quoted you the price for the "deluxe" hydrafacial." Now I am a LIAR? I was absolutley LIVID that I was treated that way and spoken to in such a horribe manner as a returning customer. My husband had a 1.5 hr massage at $150, my girlfriend had a facial at $145 and I wanted a hydrafacial for $200. That's $495 of services in one day, brought to this establishment by me, the customer. As mentioned, I have been going to the spa for 8 years without issue until this visit. What would be the purpose of me wasting time and energy to have them adjust my bill by $75 to make it right if I were lying about the "unspoken upcharge"? The spa manager was so rude and condescending and offered a credit, however, after dealing with her, I decided I will NEVER return and told her I wanted my bill adjusted. She said, "great! I will send you back to the front-desk and they will take care of it for you." What kind of "manager" speaks this way to customers, who are paying for a luxury service; something not needed, but a luxury? It's obvious that her leadership has impacted the attitudes and behavior of her staff as well. So sad. So dissappointed. I loved going there and now I will NEVER return as long as that manager remains at the spa. Let me know when she's gone and I will consider returning. BTW...I NEVER post reveiws on YELP or anywhere else, but felt the need to voice my experience in the case others have dealt with this situation, with this spa manager and her staff. read more

It is rare that I get a break from work and raising my 3 kids so when I booked my 1.5 hour massage I was really excited. When I checked in the ladies were nice and escorted me to the back. On the door entering the treatment waiting area it says quiet voices. The lady brining me back was speaking to me in a very high volume which I thought was odd if other member were getting a massage. When I got to waiting area they had a sweet spread of nuts and cheese and chocolates ( none of cheeses , meats or dip was placed with ice to keep it from spoiling) there is a lovely outside area clients can sit and relax to with a water fountain but today they had doors perched open and two vendors selling items. They were also very loud. I found this odd to have the door open and vendors not being considerate of customers about to have treatment or just finishing treatment. I was called back to my room and got settled. I spoke to my massage therapist and she agreed that it was way too loud and went to speak to the vendors and staff. For an entire hour of my massage doors opened and closed, staff were very loud and inconsiderate that people who come for treatment are expecting a quiet calming massage not one filled with busy voices, laughter and sales taking place right on the nation with doors wide open. I have come to this establishment two times prior and had never experienced staff forgetting why people visit their place. After I was done with my massage I was not relaxed like the prior times, the vendors even came in speaking with staff drinking champagne and were not even considerate that I was trying to relax after my treatment. I made a comment to them that they were too loud. The meats and cheese that were truly done with the best of intention were still sitting out and had no ice to keep them chilled. I left ,sadly , without feeling heard or even considered. My massage therapist was awesome and apologetic for how the spa was being run that day. The staff in front checking me out didn't care that I was frustrated. I was trying my best to be sweet with my complaint , it is not often I get to treat myself with something so nice. Please consider retraining your staff that once they enter those doors voices go to a whisper. Even in the front lobby , voices travel and that is not fair to the clients in the back. They have a wonderful outside patio that has the ability to close doors , they have a wonderful pool and hot tub that clients can access ( which I would have done had I been in a more relaxed state ) when putting out sweet treats and meat and cheese trays please remember that those items need to have a way of staying cold. It was honestly a beautiful display but not when they had been sitting out for two hours. I do hope to have a more favorable review when I find time to visit again read more

I recently came here for the first time. My in laws bought me a gift certificate to get a facial here. They were able to get me in the next day at the perfect time for me. When I walked in it was super nice and relaxing and the staff was extremely kind. This was my first facial ever. Amber was my esthetician. Amber was fantastic. I have never enjoyed something more in my life. She tailored the products she used since I am pregnant and we chatted it up the whole time. She gave me the longest most relaxing gentle neck and shoulder massage ever. I am very sensitive and have never enjoyed a massage, but she was amazing. She even recommended an organic cleanser at the end. I am not sure how often I can come back since facials are pricey, but I loved it so much and really appreciate the staffs care. I am a working professional. I work remotely. I had to cancel and reschedule my appointment at Asante Spa twice over the past week due to unexpected last minute requests for Zoom meet-ups. I called three times this morning starting at approximately 9am to request a last minute reschedule for my 12N today (they have a 24-hour cancellation policy) with a detailed message. No return call until 2:53PM - - - a voicemail wherein Gina requested that I call back for a reschedule. But they certainly had time to charge my AMEX for the cancel. Shortsighted. I used to go to this spa all the time, but I switched because I had problems with no one answering the phone and no one would call me back for days. I had similar issues when I ordered products; no one would call me back. Loved my massage therapist so I decided to try to make an appointment. Someone did answer the phone. I advised her that I stopped coming in about 6 months ago because of the time it took someone to get back to me. She said that they are busy a lot an TRY to get back to customers within a couple of days. You have got to be kidding. I owned my own business and would never think to take 2-3 days to return phone calls. Apparently, they don't need the business. I must say I was disappointed. I went for a manicure. My manicurist was young and I don't believe she was too experienced. She was very kinda and personable. I felt for the price you pay I would have gotten better quality. I was not satisfied. The other manicurist in the room was very rude. I said hello to her and tried to make eye contact but she quickly turned away. Her demeanor was very rough and she made it uncomfortable to be in the same room. She was speaking to her guest and making rude comments about individuals. Some people seem to love this place and maybe the other services are enjoyable. I personally will not return. read more

I booked a Hot Stone Massage and received a wonderful treatment from Tina. She was thorough and professional the whole way through. Just what I needed and I loved the fact that she didn't try to talk to me the whole time. She read me perfectly. She was great! The only thing that I would like to add is the fact that when I booked my treatment a week ago I asked if they had any add ons. I have been to this spa quite a few times and I know that they typically have these for 50 or 80 min massages. The lady that I booked with over the phone said that they were not running any specials this month. I know that to not be the case as I am on their email list. When I got to the locker room to put on my robe I noticed a paper in my locker advertising the monthly add on. Which was in fact a dry brush exfoliant for a 50 or 80 min massage. I wish I would of had the opportunity to take advantage of that. All in all I had a great treatment and I love the spa itself. But if the front desk would of known the monthly special it would of been extra special for me. So if you are looking to book... be on the email list and be proactive about knowing what kicker they are advertising that month. I wish I would of been more proactive in that regard. read more

I've been going to Asante Spa (and the sports club) for 13 years and they've been good enough, though rampant turnover and higher prices. Now, they insist on a credit card on file from all customers just to hold a $15 brow appointment. I've never no-showed ever, and find this especially poor customer service, particularly for long term clients with no records of no-shows. My family will be finding a new service provider that we can better trust. We don't just give our credit card out to people to use without our explicit permission. read more

I would just like to say I go to this spa all the time and the service has always been amazing. However, the last tIme I went to the spa for a facial and to use the steam room and facilities was a horrible experience. I checked in was told just go back with a flick of a finger (very dismissive) and was told sorry we have a large party so there is no lockers no robe or sandals available and just deal wIth it. Anyone who has been or goes to a day spa understands you should probably get a locker. So didn't get a locker staff didn't care were rude about it I didn't get to use the steam room, didn't have a place to put my purse safely and ended up stuffing my bra and top clothes in my purse and kept it in the room with me. Not sure what staffing issues are going on and if they have new management but they really didn't care they overbooked. What would have happened if I was having a full body procedure am I supposed to run around naked?? I have been getting a gel manicure here for three months!!! I just took my gel off and found fungus on 4 nails!!!!!! They claim "it couldn't be them" but I never went anywhere else!! My physician said it was from dirty tools and I probably had it from two manicures ago and they just painted over it. Every time I went I would get a new nail tech because they kept leaving, now I see why the good techs left. Do Not Go Hear If Think You Might Have Cancer or Have Cancer!! I had scheduled a wrap, showed 8 min late but they knew I was stuck in traffic & had driven 1 hr to get there. Upon arrival I told them I understand my procedure would be shortened however, the mgr came out & informed me there wasn't enough time for their monthly special & I would need to do a facial or message. I told her I had a breast biopsy 2 days ago & was wearing a sports bra so, would only want the wrap below the breast. Not only did she refuse to allow this service but, any other service because I "might" have cancer. I then agreed to a facial or message but she said, since I might have cancer they would not service me at all. I was shocked! I explained I volunteer at American Cancer & a message or fascial is fine & is good for patients helping you feel relaxed. She said, their products might cause cancer to spread or cause other issues so, they would not even allow a facial. I left for my 1hr drive back home in tears & feeling like I had some kind of contagious disease. I heard from the cancer specialist about an hour later to be given good news...I do not have cancer! I then asked about having a message or facial she laughed & said, she had never heard of a spa refusing to service anyone with cancer. The only reason it would be an issue is if they caused a fracture so, beware according to the manager of what their products might do. I called the spa & left a message that they need to do their research, be honest, remove my cc, cancel my message scheduled in 2wks for both myself & my mom that is a cancer survivor. I was called back to be told my cc info was removed & a mgr would call me back. I waited 2 days for their response before sharing this. I never heard back so this goes to show you they don't need or want to keep their customers especially, if you might have Cancer! When I say this spa is a million times better and they serve lunch!!! And the people are sooooo nice all the girls LOVED all of there service I personally had ASHLEY for facials and she did the best facial I ever had while also being the chillest and sweetest person ever. Continued disappointment with service here. Have given it a shot so many times and have gotten a couples massage (which we were right on time for) but with the waiting in lounge started 10 mins late and ended after 40 mins for a 50 min. Massage. Good experience with Jessica and waxing. Pedicures take a long time and are more expensive than nail salons, which is ok if they had good service, but just now I walked in and asked if they had availability, they said yes. I sat in the lounge for 15 mins. With no one speaking to me and knowing it takes an hour, I gave up and left...wasted 15 mins. Sitting and waiting when they said there was no wait. We planned an event at the gym and we're told they would be there on site with massage chairs, called the day of to confirm and they completely blew me off. Maybe they are this way because they have enough clients/regulars, not sure...and I have experienced good service there a few times...just not consistently and this is a year of me having spent at least $400 there. read more

My wife and I had a couples massage the day before she was scheduled to be induced for labor. As we went into the massage we did not know price (were not too concerned), and did not have any expectations going into this relaxing retreat. With hopes to get first class treatment, the results were sub par. Check in was fair, we were about 10 minutes early to the appointment but found we should clearly be at least 20 minutes early if we choose to go again. To start, we had a nice entry to the spa which they did very well setting the environment. Although we still did not know how long the massage was, our hopes were high. By the time we entered the the couples massage room we had been 5 minutes behind schedule in which they let us know our massage would be 5 minutes short because of lack of time. This is where I asked how long the massage was and they stated 50 minutes. I asked if they have any longer times but they stated 50 is all they can do today. At this point I was content but was beginning to slowly loose confidnece in the expectations I once had. The massages were reasonable considering the circumstances but once we were all finished up it was the ending of our experince that came to an unfortunate close. As we exited the massage we went back to the room to relax and have some water and fruit. As we approached we heard two people talking, one a staff memeber the other a client. While all we wanted to do was relax, the staff member and client continued to talk loudly between themselves. We decided to go outside to relax where they did not have cushions on the patio furniture although it was 75 and sunny. In leaving, we were fairly disappointed but figure this is an establishment attached to a sport club, perhaps we should reconsider our spa services. The salon is truly a spa experience. As you wait to be seen you can snack on healthy treats, drink lemon water or enjoy a glass of wine. There's a beautiful patio area that makes the waiting area feel like a secret garden. It has a waterfall and large plants enclosing the lounge chairs in. The staff is friendly and quick. I did a shellac manicure- I was in and out but they turned out very nice. I used a gift certificate provided by the gym attached to the spa and while there was a misprint on which services it could be used on, they still accepted it. The 80 min deep tissue massage was excellent -thank you Angelique!!. I've been to her twice now. I love the added aromatherapy! Pluses- there is a small locker room to change before and after, shower etc,. Fully stocked. Cons- only one quiet room or waiting area.... Not so private or quiet. Bright too. Uncomfortable sitting in a robe with other males in room. It would be nice to have separate quiet rooms to relax before/after services. All the other day spas have them. Spa music and warm tea, water, wine should be offered in an area that is quiet and soothing. Maybe with crystal salts toooo. read more

This was my first time at Asante. Normally I go to Hoshall's Salon & Spa, but I wanted to try Asante since they are a lot closer to my house. My review compares my first time experience at Asante to my typical experience at Hoshall's. When I booked my appointment, I originally called during normal business hours and no one answered the phone. Instead I was forced to book online. At the other spa, I have someone that takes me to my locker/dressing room, will wait for me while I change, be there with a beverage for me, and will get the steam room set up for me if I need it. I didn't get any of that at Asante. I was simple shown to the lounge without any further instruction. I arrived 15 minutes before my appointment hoping to use the steam room but instead was left to wait until my esthetician showed up. I spent a lot of time in the lounge area waiting, and having never been to this spa before I felt a little abandoned. If it weren't for the fact that I had been to another spa before I wouldn't have known what to expect. I expected more of a tour, this how we do things, etc. considering this was my first time to Asante. My service itself was fine, but what I got during the 80 minute facial I could get in a 60 minute facial at my other spa for $25 less. The only difference was at Asante I got my feet massaged - at Hoshall's I just get neck, back and hands. My esthetician Clare was very attentive to my skincare needs, and I appreciated her listening to me and making suggestions. I did find it a little tacky that she wrote down a suggested skincare regimen on the back of a "while you were out" piece of paper. At Hoshall's they have tailored stationary for that purpose. I did like that I was able to given a prescription retinol, and it has been working wonder for my skin in just a short amount of time. But I didn't enjoy spending $91 on it, so I will probably try visiting a dermatologist so I can get that covered by my health insurance. I would probably come back to try the Back Care Treatment since that is something Hoshall's does not have, but for everything else I will stick with Hoshall's. For the price, amenities, and ambience Asante just didn't deliver like I expected it to. read more
