BEWARE! IMO the owner is dishonest and runs an untrustworthy business. He does not care. After $1000 in repairs, not only was the problem not fixed, but now my car is throwing codes it was not before. Each time I brought my car to him something came back broken and had new problems. I originally suspected he was dishonest when he told me I had two fuel pumps. This was not true, and it was a fuel sensor that needed to be changed, he corrected himself only after I paid for the fuel pump. They cracked my trim when they pulled out my cluster, the owner's excuse was "it's an old car" "What do you want me to do about it?" He was rude when I brought up the damage he caused. He crushed the floorboard in my trunk when he dropped the fuel tank, and they cracked the plastic cover of my gear shift, none of which the owner took accountability for and actively gave me attitude when I mentioned it. The owner also tried to hold on to my car and said it wasn't ready when his mechanic said it was; he had it for two days for a diagnostic. When I took the car back for the fuel sensor that was not working after he had "repaired" it; he claimed I needed a new cluster, something was wrong with my transmission, and my cylinders were misfiring, none of which occurred before I brought my car in. He attempted to store my car over the weekend until he received a part, but I have yet to authorize any repairs or storage and my car was in running condition. I couldn't even get ahold of him. They don't communicate to you what is happening with your vehicle, they do not provide a copy of the diagnostic results, and treat you like a bother if you have questions. They won't even answer the phone. My car was running fine before I brought it to him, only the fuel gauge was not working. Now, it just isn't driving the same. Also, it took 7 hours for an oil change when they said 2. They were nice, at first, until I expected them to correct the faulty work and brought up the negligent treatment of my vehicle. thankkkkk youuuu. Our car started leaking fluids and started to smoke. Called all mechanics nearby and they were telling us almost 1000. We saw Arvin and decided to walk up and asked for quote. Traveling from Northern California to Ventura. Began having car problems. Found Arvin Auto on Google. When I showed up, I spoke to Junior. I explained everything to him. He took me for a 10+ mile test drive. He got the picture of what was going on. He jumped on his computer and found out exactly what the issue was. He said I really didn't need to worry about it, it's normal for my car. He could have tried to sell me some, but he didn't. I tried to pay him, but he wouldn't take any money. My truck broke down after hours while I was on a trip between Oregon and Tuscon, AZ. The towing company dropped my truck off outside the shop and the keys in the drop box. Arvin got to work first thing in the morning. They found the problem and identified other related problems. They showed me what was broken and what was going to be a problem soon. Chuy is the best mechanic you'll find. He's honest and won't rip you off by giving honest assessments. His prices are cheaper than others as well. He's handled my cars since he was working for his dad on Haven Drive several years ago and he's done most everything for me....radiator replaced, smog fail fix, brakes, evap leaks, tune up, timing belt, bad valves, you name it.
