A bit of a drive, but that's OK for me, I like to go to Kittery whenever I can and not for the retail but for the restaurant scene (go Black Birch!!). But I found some kickin' frames from some London designer, and I picked 'em on the spot with some seriously high-tech Zeiss lenses. When I picked them up a few weeks later, I thought everything looked fine in the store, but over the course of the next few weeks I realized that these glasses were pretty weird. I had to keep my whole body in perfect posture in order to get the distance in focus. While this was good for my spine, it was distracting and I ended up not even wearing these otherwise awesome spectacles. Jump forward a year later, and I finally brought the offending glasses to an optician in Portland, ME. They informed me that the lenses had been simply made wrong. And that they doubted the shop in Portsmouth would correct the error because it had been more than a year. So my bad. I figured what the hell, I will give it a try. I brought the specs back to the store and they took them over. Long story short, they phoned me up and said "Our bad", the lenses had been made wrong, and they went on to replace them for free!! I am a seriously stylin' dude now, attracting way more attention for my new frames than I am ever used to getting. So that is my testimony, and they get the full five stars for their friendly and generous customer service!!

When I spoke to someone in scheduling the call dropped. I called back and I spoke to Melissa who was absolute 0 help. Because they hadn't entered my info into the system, they couldn't schedule me. Even though they confirmed they received the referral still refused to set me an appointment and the tone in their voices was extremely passive aggressive and had no desire or want to help me. I was told she would put it in her bin for Monday morning. Monday rolls around no call to schedule. I called at 12:45pm to try again, I was again told they hadn't put me in the system, and they would call me to schedule. And that they were booking for August. I didn't get a call back until Tuesday from Addison, she sets me an appointment now in September. I found a different surgeon that specializes in the same Eyelid profession and was greeted on the phone and even though they didn't have a referral they were more than willing to take my information over the phone and set me an appointment for the first week of August and willing to wait for the referral. The same young man said since over 6 months they could not do. I pointed out that the date of exam was 12/22/25 so within 6 months. He then said 5 months was limited. When I asked how in 30 seconds this could change he said policy was 4 and 1/2 months. I told they obviously did not want to be bothered so why make up dates. Been to many Lenscrafters over the years but this is by far the worst one for customer service.
