As I walked in, I saw posters stating that this restaurant was recommended by Oprah herself. Very promising! Frybread with Honey ($8.99) - The frybread here is fantastic! As with most frybreads, it's a plate-sized frisbee of fried dough, although irregular in thickness and leavening. Some areas have the chew and puff like a doughnut, while other areas are almost completely hollow almost like pita bread. The frybread is crisp on outside without being overly greasy. It goes so well with the honey they provide in a squeeze bottle delivered to your table. I would eat this as-is again and again. (5/5) Indian Taco ($14.95) - Now, take the excellent frybread and use it as a base to ladle on seasoned ground beef with beans, chopped romaine lettuce, shredded cheddar cheese, diced tomato, and black olives. Instead of dousing the top with salsa (might be pico since it's quite thick and not runny at all), it's thoughtfully served in a cup on the side so you can dress the salad to your liking. I actually preferred it this way as I found the salsa to be very salty. The dish also comes with a packet of sour cream on the side. I found the beef to be ground a little too well. Instead of a traditional ground beef texture, it kind of felt like frozen burrito-style extruded beef. Not the best texture, but I guess more authentic? (4/5) One of the issues we found was with the cups and silverware - both smelled kind of musty, like they weren't properly dried. I guess just don't sniff them and you'll be fine?
