The office submitted my papers to insurance, my insurance sent them a check and the doctors office kept the check. The check should have gone to me since I laid out the money at the time of the appointment. I call and call and call and they keep telling me they have the check but since they don't accept insurance they can't send me the check. Doesn't make sense to me so I called my insurance company who told me that the check had been deposited. Shame on you and shame on the girl who works at the office who told me I should have gone online to check if they take insurance before making an appointment and to next time go to the health center where they take all insurances. So rude. I recommend finding a physician that hires people who care about their patients and who doesn't send them to other places.

They would call him, and I should follow up in the new year. I called right after Jan. 1. They said they did not have my paperwork or any record I had even spoken to them. I went for a different test last month. I called and called for results. I left messages and they never got back to me. I finally got a call back from a patient advocate who was full of attitude and said they had no responsibility to give me the results and to check with my doctor. I asked if someone could've called me back to tell me that? And she said no, that wasn't their problem. Very nice. I'd rather go to a veterinarian than return to Good Sam.

This review is only for the trauma unit. After a car…read moreaccident, a family member was rushed here via ambulance. They were originally going to bring to Valley hospital in Paramus, but decided at the last minute that they did not have a trauma unit so Good Sam would be the place to go. Throughout the 24 hour visit, the nurses were kind and responsive but definitely seemed pretty busy and it was hard to flag them down when we needed an extra blanket, for example. We had 3 to 4 different doctors checking in from various departments including internal medicine, on call Dr and Head of the Trauma unit which was great because we got a wide range of specialists. We appreciated their thoroughness and gentle manner when going through the details from the accident and how it impacted the body, results from xray and such. Not once did we feel rushed or that they genuinely didn't care. Unfortunately, it was a very busy night so although we had a room initially in the unit, they were not able to move us to a quieter place to rest overnight until late into the evening. They were patients laying in the hallways on beds to the lack of rooms. Not sure if it is always like this or it was just one of those days, but it made it pretty loud and I'm sure those patients were uncomfortable. Would 100% come back here if I needed to go to an ER or a trauma unit.

They also have a little snack and coffee area downstairs where you can make a coffee (though it was broken today). The parking lot is big and easy to navigate.

Upon arrival, the woman behind the counter didn't make eye contact with me after asking for my license & ID, did not look up when I asked her if I needed to fill anything , out still not looking at me, so I sat down. What a very poor representation and manners . After waiting 23 minutes I went up and was informed that My name was misspelled. Well, I only have five letters in my name so I didn't really quite know what they were talking about and why that would take so long to adjust on a computer, still not looking at me or making eye contact she responded that they spelt my name wrong Again. I assume someone next to her realized how stupid of an answer that was and got up and said patient information goes to a call center in Chicago and they were the ones that needed to change the spellingand they were waiting for them to respond before seeing me. Can you imagine the stupidity in that system? It was then that I was realized I was in the fast food version of vein clinics. I sat down and read some yelp reviews, and although some of them were positive most were not. At that point, I left the office. I will be making appointment somewhere else with more friendly and professional reception staff , nicer office and better reviews.

In Sept of '23 I had to have surgery, and was referred to Dr. Sunny Mitchell at the Breast Center in Montefiore, Nyack. Now, 50 years after my first exam I have finally found a Dr who is not only an excellent surgeon but is compassionate, kind, and patient. She takes her time to answer my questions using the great knowledge she has and never rushes through an exam. She gives me the confidence and hope that I need to make informed decisions regarding my health. I feel truly taken care of and I always leave her office uplifted. I cannot express what an excellent Dr. she is and I would recommend her to my own daughter knowing she would be getting the best care possible. I have been going there for years (since before the current team purchased the practice) because it has been one thing after another with me. They are very careful to wipe down surfaces where another patient has used a space. I can't recommend them more highly!
