A favorite place for breakfast as it's served all day. Very creative breakfast entrees served in a bowl with sunny side eggs. My server today, Brandon, added a spark to our meal with his friendliness and great, attentive(but not hovering) service! Try to sit in his section, and you won't be disappointed. Here's my critique of the new Art's bar: If you like Reno's North you will like the new Art's. If you liked the old Art's, I'm sorry... I did too. The new Art's is nothing like the old Art's. It's a shame they kept the name. I actually wouldn't mind going back to the new Art's if it was in a different location. The service was not great, how long does it take to pour a draft beer? There was one other table inside and a couple outside with a different server. The server did not know anything about the beers they served. They re-paved and changed the parking lot, improving it, I guess. They added a fancy garage door like all the new bars in Lansing have. My wife ordered Hillbilly Waffle Fries that had bbq pork, sauce and cheese~ decent. The pizza tries to be classic Art's but the sauce, crust, and pepperoni are not the same, the cheese is the same! I told My wife to make the ambiance a little more like old Art's they needed to bust out some lightbulbs and add a few ash trays. The servers were too fresh and looked well-rested. I didn't even see any tattoos or bra straps. They have one of those fancy jukeboxes where you need an app and about $12 to play one song. Luckily they were playing MikeFM on the radio so my kids liked dancing to some groovy Rod Stewart (because Mike plays EVERYTHING). No pool table. They do have pull tabs and keno. With GM being off this week, the clientele was younger and yuppier than that of Old Art's. Someone asked me if I had to eat at the same restaurant six nights a week for the next 15 years what restaurant I would choose. I told them Art's Pub. We eat Art's food about every week or two. Usually, we just order a pizza for carryout - they have the best pizza in town if you like cheese - but they have a fun menu for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. And, it's incredibly varied. I love olive burgers, and Art's does an excellent job with that. Their breakfast options will fill you up and the leftovers will be sufficient for lunch. I always order the Detroit-style pizza, and the amount of cheese on these bad boys is ridiculous. It's too much, yet I can't stop myself from going for another slice. The only thing I don't like is how crazy busy the place gets on some nights. I don't like all the stupid lottery/keno crap. I make a point of going at strange hours so I can avoid the rush. I've always had great service and never had a negative experience at Art's. Six stars! read more

great little pub that serves up some delicious food to go along with a cold beer. Started off with some delicious mozzarella sticks with some heat to spice them up a bit. Great barbeque too....smoked perfectly pulled pork that wasn't drenched in sauce. Brisket and potatoe wrap was equally delicious with just the right amount of potatoe without being too heavy. Daughter also enjoyed her cajun wrap and we all had a great time. Would return when I am in the area. read more

I love coming here. The service is great and the food good. I usually come for breakfast but after an appointment came for lunch. I am a lover of black and blue burgers sadly no blue to be detected. I would have it replaced it with another also asked for medium rare and received a brown center luckily the burger was moist and flavorful or this would've just sucked since I had been npo for 13 hours and was hungry. Their fries are some of the best I have ever had, crispy on the outside, tender in the middle, and delicious. I love the eggs too. First the pizza is the best in Lansing in my opinion, especially the Captin insano! They use twice as much cheese as other places so this is not for the lactose intolerant. Recently we e found their breakfast pizza to be equally as good. Waitstaff is also very friendly and quick on there feet! So wether it's a Bloody Mary and breakfast or a beer and pizza you can't go wrong here! read more

I was in Arts Bar Monday night and was very disappointed. I decided to play Keno which I knew I at least won $6. When I gave the bartender which I believe her name is Annie my ticket to cash in she came back with $1. I asked her for my ticket back and the receipt that printed out. They did not match up so I went online and replayed my draws. Ends up I won $14. First of all when a ticket is scanned it shows you right away how much to pay the customer. I showed her and she gave me the amount I won back. When I told my friend about it he said that it happened to a couple of his friends at Arts. I do not appreciate being ripped off. The owner should really look into the employees that work there and get rid of the ones that like to steal from people. I will never go back to this bar! read more

3.5 s. This actually is pretty good pub but I have my concerns. No beer menu, only a wine menu. And they need more beer options. Service was great. Food was very good except it took a really long time to get it. And our order of wings was cold. The vegan pizza was great. Their arepas are fantastic. Just wish our order came much sooner and all of it was hot. We were so hungry that we ate the minute our food arrived so I didn't get any pictures. We sat down at the start of the MSU football game & it was a little before halftime before we got food. I definitely recommend coming here but maybe not on a football Saturday. read more

I'm conflicted with this review. We have been to Arts many, many times. We stopped here on Sunday around noon with our kids in tow and there was a group of really over-served Sparrow workers who I'm guessing just got off night shift. I don't mind when people knock back a few, but they were visibly vaping at the table and two of them were all over each other like it was 4am at the bar. The guys hands were literally down the girls pants, who I am not sure even knew what was happening she seemed so drunk. Needless to say, my 17 year old was super embarrassed, like when a sex scene comes on in a movie you are watching with your parents. It just made lunch really uncomfortable. We were not the only ones in there at the time with kids. No comments on the food, I just thought that someone should have said something to them or shut it down. read more

I've been to the new Art's three times already and have been very happy with the food. The pizza is just as good as I remember, and the arepas are great! The service is a little slow, but it always takes new places a little hit to find their grove. read more

Arts Pub is a great place to catch a local sports game, or have Sunday brunch after church. My SO and I love their food and ate here often when we lived closer to the East side. They're usually very friendly and offer a wide selection of food. Where they fall short is usually when we come during busy hours, it seems we have to wait entirely too long for our food, luckily the food quality doesn't suffer much, but you can tell a slight difference. I have only ever ordered a drink here once, and it was a Bloody Mary that came out 1 part vegetable juice, 1 part vodka and 8 parts water. Next time I will just order a beer. read more

Wow. I can't say enough great things about this place. Been there twice now, and loved it. I had the seafood pizza (can't remember the name) and it was unbelievable, tons of garlic and shrimp flavor. Also had their arepas on special Thursday nights. Definitely going again and going to try their wings that the smoke in their parking lot. Waited half hour to be seated which was understandable, place was packed. But thats really all we did there, was wait. We waited 15 to 20 minutes for drinks, and 40 minutes for pizza. Server never came back to check on us. Pizza sauce was sweet as others have mentioned and I don't see why a meh tasting cheese pizza was $20. The pizza here used to be very good. Something has changed and I'm not sure what it is. The pub is very loud and that makes it hard to carry on conversations while you're dining. Loud music and loud people tend to make the dining experience a negative one. Service can also be slow during the lunch rush. read more

We've been missing Arts pizza and shoppers since they closed. Even though the old place was dingy and showing it's age (putting it mildly), I even missed the laid back vibe. I was worried the place would lose its soul and history, but I'm happy to say it's still feels like Arts - updated, lighter and better, but it's still recognizably arts. As for food - nailed the pizza, and the prices haven't been jacked up to Chicago-gastropub levels. The staff has been friendly and accommodating despite dealing with typical new-restaurant issues. They've been smashed since opening, including weekdays and weekends, so service can be slow, but it's worth it! read more

I was never here before the remodel, so I can't speak to the level of improvement. However, I can say that the Sunshine Sandwich was literally the best sandwich I've ever had. Very nice job on the remodel. I went there to try the arepas. They were tasty, but they were really just little food truck tacos. Arepas are supposed to be fried corn meal cakes, (about english muffin size) used like buns, either stuffed or served alone. At least that's what they were at the last Venezualen restaurant I went to. So, tasty filling, but the "bun" needs work. We also had pizza. I like cheese, but there was WAY too much cheese on it. It took two people to transfer a piece of it from the pie to the plate. I guess it all depends on your preference. If you like a HEAVY pizza, this is your place. As I've gotten older, I've gravitated toward a lighter, thin-crust as my preference. One that doesn't make you feel like you need to call a tow truck to haul you out of the place. We enjoyed our meal, but don't plan on going back anytime soon. read more

Stopped by after an MSU basketball game as we were looking for a new place to hit before returning to West Michigan. Let's just say we'll be back. Often. Food is straightforward bar fare--note I said BAR, not PUB--in the best way possible. I split a pizza with a buddy--we ordered a large. The medium would have more than sufficed, not that we were disappointed to have half a pizza to take home. Old school crust and generous toppings buried under a mountainous layer of cheese. Seriously, the cheese layer was close to a half-inch thick. Nothing subtle or fu-fu about this pie. Just lots of flavor and well-made. Two slices each about killed two big eaters. The third member of our party got an order of wings and a side of fries and was equally happy. Beer menu is pretty basic by 2022 standards. Maybe 10-12 taps with your usual domestic drafts, LaBatts and maybe a half-dozen common Michigan craft beers. I'm a bit of a beer snob but was more than happy to enjoy an M-43. Given how filling the meal is, probably would have done the Labatts with hindsight. Service was friendly and attentive without being invasive. The interior decor is basic--lots of big screen TVs, a video jukebox and the usual wall decor. It sort of brought me back to what sports bars were like in the 80s and 90s. Basic. Well done. In an era where it seems everything tries to be elevated, it's great to have a well-run, old-school neighborhood bar option. We'll be back. Next weekend and, likely, many to follow. read more

We tried the Maui pizza with bacon, ham, pineapple, and scallions. The crust and sauce were great. The bacon was ground up and was not good, the ham scanty, and the scallions seemed to be invisible.
