This would be a 5 star review, but the things that make this shop such a refreshing find are also negatives for many shoppers. The store is really small. The space is set up nicely, so even in the small space, shopping feels like a treasure hunt. A small shop also means limited selection as far as styles and sizes of clothing offered. The used photography gear is not terribly well organized, but if you're willing to dive in and brave the dust, you can find some real vintage gems. They stock newer stuff as well, including all the current Canon EOS DSLR bodies, along with a decent selections of lenses. They always seem to have a staff member knowledgeable about photography in the store; yesterday, I passed a good half hour talking shop with the man behind the counter, and walked away with a new lens at a respectable price. Their other inventory is eclectic, to say the least, but it's the kind of place to go for something unusual. I vacation in this area nearly every summer, and a stop at Glens is always on my itinerary.

Anyway, Gail shot an email to me and inquired if I still wanted the item. I said yes, and my wife, dog Jack and I drove up to Luray in the Page Valley. It was a beautiful twisty drive and the weather was perfect. Gail had it waiting for us. In fact, she made two- one with braided handles and the other with plain handles. We choose the Quaich with braided handles. It is CV perfect. It has the Trinity symbol painted in the glaze, fired and the whole piece is perfect. Gail is very talented and accomplished pottery artisan. Her work is excellent. We have bought several things from her over the past twenty years. Gail only takes cash or checks.

The owners are passionate about glass etching and have many of their pieces hanging around the shop for viewing and for sale. I was so beyond impressed and excited when they told me that was purposeful, and, what's more, that they make it a point to sell things made by POC and queer folks. On top of that, they have an amazing array of crystals, including some very unique carvings that were absolutely lovely (like a little toadstool house!), and pretty much everything else you could want from a metaphysical shop, including some handmade incense that I'm burning right now that is delightful. Also, I'm always treated so kindly by everyone there, who've all been an absolute delight to talk to and so helpful. If you like metaphysical shops or even just pretty rocks and nice smells and pretty decor items, you must give this place a visit!
