The regulars are great and love their music. The staff are friendly and helpful. There is a heated seating area outside but the best part is that there are caves behind the pub which have seats and lighting but the caves go all the way into Kidderminster (so the rumour has it but not brave enough to go and check) this area does get packed so go early to get the best seats. There is music memorabilla in the pub which warrants a visit on its own. They have their own website so you can check out which bands are on.

And the building itself was nice, but my party were squished into one corner, and couldn't move about without the whole of one side of the table stood up and moved. Generally this pub/restaurant was okay, and I would not personally recommend it, but I wouldn't exactly avoid it. Although that said, they did have a nice variety of food, with plenty of choice.

These are also known as a great live music venue and have music on most nights and weekends. They have some great covers bands on and love their rock. The locals are great and make you feel very welcome. They have an outside smoking area which is heated. They also have a cashpoint machine inside and a cigarette machine. It can get very busy at weekends when the bands are on. They have a website you can check out who is playing and directions of how to get there if you need it. Its well worth a visit.

So only 2 weeks after Bloodstock we found ourselves driving south again to get our Thrash on. Beermageddon is held at the Stoke Prior Sports and Country Club (Posher than it sounds) in the village of er,Stoke Prior,just outside Bromsgrove in the W Midlands. It's only a small Festival mainly catering for the smaller or unsigned Metal bands,which is great for me as i'm a bit of a champion of the smaller acts. The Fest only holds a few hundred people,which makes it seem more like a 3 day party with friends than a Festival,which is great. The bands played inside the venue and we all camped on the playing fields just outside,we were camped and parked (yes you can park next to your tent) less than 100 yards from the club,meaning a very short stagger to and fro,which is always handy. The calibre of bands on offer this year were top notch as far as my tastes go (they were all from the more extreme end of the Metal spectrum) and the attendees were all awesome,some really good friends were made and contacts gathered,and because pretty much all the bands were small they were all camping too and not an ego in sight!! Jim Beerman,the organiser ,knows how to put on a Festival,and you can be pretty damn sure that we will be back to get battered,bruised,baked and blasted next year.....\,,/.....

Myself ,Mrs Z and 2 of our festival Buds decided to give it a go on the saturday before the bands started at the fest,and we were very glad we did! I had a really lovely double chicken burger (2 big chunks of batted fillet and salad) and a pint of I forget (It was made by Ringwood brewery anyway) to wash it down with. Mrs Z opted for the fish, chips and mushy peas,and a pint of Forty Niner (Also by Ringwood). And our friends both had the steak and ale pie with chips (Which I have to say looked really nice!).. All in all it was a really nice meal in really nice surroundings,and it'd be my pub of choice if I lived in the area...

I find that if I forget to mention it then it comes on something I'm least expecting. So, even if I look an idiot for saying it, for food that shouldn't have cheese, I still say. So, my fillet steak (£28) came out with the lettuce covered with Parmesan shavings. It was sent back. Then later it was taken off the bill as a gesture. The steak was lovely, but the person insisted. Good customer service move. However, what if my allergy had been more serious and the ingredient had not been as obvious, for example, peanut allergy or lactose allergy. A lad died in Italy recently because of the latter. A cautionary story. Please be aware. Service was a bit hit and miss. Experience staff know to look at tables, so that the customer can catch their eye. I found this a bit lacking on this visit. Added to which a person presented us with our starters, but failed to realise that we didn't have any knives and forks. We had to wait until I could catch their eye. Similarly, it was easier to go to the bar to ask for the glass of red to go with my steak than get the attention of the waiting staff. As I said at the beginning I like The Brook Inn, and I will return.

Refused to accept it was their own error until the e-mail trail was presented to them.
