What I got was not what I ordered. I ordered three real estate for sale signs to be printed. I already had the signs designed and all I needed was to have them made. The dimensions that I gave them were 2' wide by 2-1/2' tall. Reuben asked me to email him the graphics and the next day he gave me a quote over the phone, and I thought the prices he gave me were a pretty good deal. Mistake #1: Dealing with a company that required up-front payment prior to the work being done. Mistake #2: Authorizing work be done without seeing an invoice. They took 2 days to get the signs made, which I was very happy about. They don't ship, deliver, or store the signs, so I had to drive all the way from Culver City to Glendale to pick them up. When I arrived, the for sale signs were square - 2' x 2'. Reuben told me that square was the dimension that I gave him, and not being able to see the email I sent him at the time, I gave him the benefit of the doubt and took responsibility for the error. When I got back into my office, I looked at what I sent him and called him to ask why he gave me a square sign instead of the dimensions that I gave. He told me that the quote he gave me over the phone was for 2' x 2' dimensions, which I am sure I mistook for the 2' x 2' open house signs that I also ordered at the same time. Obviously, there was a miscommunication between what I gave him and what he understood the order to be. This happens in business and a situation like this can be easily remediated with good, fundamental customer service. However, when I called Reuben to complain about this discrepancy, his basic conclusion was that I did not communicate to him exactly what I wanted, that the breakdown in communication was completely my fault. He further went on to say that, in his experience, for sale signs are typically square. I am not about to argue with him about what his experiences are in his business, but being a real estate broker who has seen hundreds of thousands of for sale signs and has had for sale signs made before, I can safely say that every for sale sign that I have ever seen has been rectangular in shape in some way. I am convinced that Reuben's argument was bullshit and a feeble attempt to prevent any semblance of a refund, credit, or concession. What Reuben was successful at doing was preventing me or my brokerage from giving Arto Sign Co any future business. Dee Sign is a little pricier, but they do good work, have great customer service, store, ship, and install signs for a low flat fee, and overall provide a much better experience. read more

Called looking for 6 last minute real estate signs on super short notice. Ruben was extremely helpful and made it happen quickly for us. The signs look great and not like a rush job at all. Ruben was willing to adjust our proof so we had them just right. The agents ended up really liking them so even though we were going to hold off on new open house signs we decided to order from here. It's a small business so sometimes you call and no one picks up right away, but it's way better than ordering signs from across the country and paying $200 in shipping.
