When possible I like to support small independent local businesses and made the call for an estimate . Dan the owner spent a lot of time at our in home visit to review the scope , made great suggestions on 2 new pots and pan drawers and assured us we would not know they were refaced but would look like new cabinets . We chose a beautiful Maple wood with new drawers on amazing soft close silent hardware . The work crew was professional , skilled craftsmen that figured out every little corner and angle to perfection . I am amazed at the quality of work . The transformation is stunning . My adult daughter just saw the new kitchen today for the first time and was so impressed she thought it was all new boxes from the ground up ! Then Dan came to our house and spent a significant amount of time with us explaining our options, showing us samples of cabinets, and answering all of our questions. We opted for several additional options on top of our initial estimate, but we never felt pressured to add or upgrade anything. We initially had hoped to do refacing to improve the overall aesthetic of our kitchen, but we were so excited to discover some of the additional options that were offered that solved functional problems that had always bothered us! When we reached out to Better Than New, we didn't even realize how much they could do besides just refacing. We replaced all of our old, hard-to-open drawers with beautiful, easy to open, soft-close drawers. We added a pull-out drawer for trash and recycling bins. We replaced sagging shelves in our cabinets. And we replaced the shelves in our deep pantry with drawers, making the space SO much more usable and accessible for our tall family. So not only is the kitchen beautiful, but it's so much more functional. There were zero hidden fees. The work was absolutely immaculate. The team was incredibly professional. And the work was done as scheduled and on time - the entire project only took 2.5 days!! I didn't receive estimates from other companies, so I don't know how the price would have compared. But we feel that the finished product, the quality of the materials used, and the professionalism and skill of the team were worth what we paid. Instead, I had my cabinet company replace all the doors and drawer fronts and update the island style and trim pieces. As a designer, I was very nervous about "painting" the existing cabinets and not having them meet my high standards. David was very patient with all of my questions and took the time to explain his process to me. Luis and his team showed up on time and covered every inch of my home that was in the spray area with plastic. They set up a spray tent and drying racks in my garage where they were able to do the majority of the work. In addition, they had large fans that vented outside to reduce the fumes. The end result is gorgeous! They matched my custom color to perfection. They primed, sanded, and filled areas that needed it, and the end result is a professional and durable finish. Luis and his team worked hard the entire time and were very respectful of my home and questions. I had contacted several companies prior to choosing Affordable Cabinet Refinishing. Coffee maker was put in so high it can't be used. They installed drawer fronts that when you open it up there is only an inside drawer on the left side - it looks like a kindergartener built it. When I asked, Cortny said its supposed to look like that lol. Original kitchen layout they marked off for my electrician was all wrong and I had to redo my electrical which cost over $2,000.00. They knocked a 4'x4' hole in my kitchen wall which cost drywall repair. They want a deposit before starting another 40% on delivery (which everything was not delivered only about 70%) which gets them up to 80%-90% paid and then don't show up to install. They left the cabinet doors leaning against a wall in my room for so long several were warped and had to be remade. They would show up and install one or two items and I wouldn't see them again for weeks and weeks and could not get a response from them about when they planned to return. They have delayed my project by months, they are unreliable, you can't get an estimated timeframe from them for anything. They avoid avoid avoid. Then when they say the project is done they are DESPERATE for money and threaten not to come fix "warranty" unless they are paid in full even though they are really not done and hung up a door they knew was warped just to get a check. I could go on but I think the point is made. Please note - I've known the owners for decades and this is what I've gotten -RUN!

Nolan not only had a fair price but also had the experience to recognize a suitable solution. Other's were over quoting what work needed to be done. First time Yelp reviewers here!! We've solicited aid (from our wonderful child) to figure out how to post this review because Paul Yother & his crew are worth the effort! The kitchen cabinet doors were installed in Dec 2018 and we've been admiring them ever since! Our 1954 kitchen now looks so updated, yet classic to the home. Paul graciously recommended changes to make our kitchen more up-to-date (in our case, adding a bank of drawers) and we are so glad he did! Not only does it look more proportionate to the room, it is so much more functional for us! Old homes have issues, and ours was no exception. However, they were resolved quickly and graciously by Paul. He & his crew were such a pleasure to work with because of their great communication -- we had no worries during the project! The workmanship is excellent. Before hiring Artistic Refacing, we received several quotes. Although Artistic Refacing was not the lowest price, we felt most confident with Paul. I requested bids from 5 different contractors, and selected Artisitic Refacing. Not only because they had the best price, but also because I had seen their work at several homes in my neighborhood. Once the project began, I was even more impressed with this company. Not only were they easy to work with, but Paul was very patient with my quirky requests, and worked everything out to exceed my expectations.
