Artistic Refacing did a fabulous job upgrading my kitchen, laundry room and bar area cabinets. Their pricing was more than fair and what I especially liked was you just work with Paul Yother directly on everything. Paul did the estimate and even gave me suggestions on design changes and colors. We ended up doing new cabinets for the top kitchen cabinets since I wanted the cabinets to go to the ceiling. The price was not that much higher. It took about 7-9 days to complete the work. Paul and his partner Dave were worker bees taking little breaks and cleaning up each day with our kitchen available each morning and evening. They matched the new top cabinets perfectly to my existing backsplash and added floor molding and a couple cabinet fronts to certain areas to give it a finished look. I cannot day enough good things about Paul and his team. When he told us we were in good hands and we left our kitchen to him while we were out of the country on a long-planned trip, he was right. We came back to a beautifully renovated kitchen. We were able to pick out a custom color to match our decor and could not be happier with the installation! My only worry is that when we want to re-do our master bath, they will be too busy. We paid a bit more than the other quotes we got....but it was well worth it! Those 30 year old cabinets just had to go -- no pizzazz, too little storage -- and we chose Artistic Refacing because other cabinet installers balked at keeping the countertop and base cabinets. It was no problem for Paul and Scott; they replaced the uppers with beautiful cherry-look cabinets to give me more space AND pizzazz, refaced the base cabinets to match perfectly, installed a trash receptacle in a base cabinet, and refaced other nearby cabinets to create a stunning new look. We're handling part of the job (backsplash, under cabinet lights and power), which saved us some money. The job took a little longer than we expected but it's way better than we imagined and now we're set for life. read more

He also added new cabinets and drawers where I had a desk. He rearranged a few cabinets to give me a more symmetrical look and gave me what I was looking for. Brought AR in to reface our kitchen. Sept. estimate was timely and very fairly priced. Went from the builder grade honey gold look to an updated espresso shaker style in maple. Team was great to work with, kept all appointments. Long wait as install started in mid-Nov. but went well, until I noticed the cab fronts were alder and not maple, a substantially cheaper, softer wood. Contract called specifically for maple for durability. We we're faced with a substantial delay in completion of the project in the event of a reorder and reluctantly went with the alder. Primary issue was no one stepped up to discuss the error until we called them on it. After negotiation, Paul offered a price reduction. In certain lighting, finish not consistent. Will say Paul's custom island was fantastic. Design, finish, install on the island was amazing. Overall, good people to work with. Be cautious as to some project aspects ie ., species of wood used as substantial price difference and durability issues.
