Part-art gallery, part event hall, this is essentially Etobicoke's analogue to the Living Arts Centre in Mississauga. Whether it's a recognition ceremony or a gallery exhibition, you can be sure to find something of interest whenever you visit. I feel like this place is somewhat overlooked, being so close to the nearby Humber College campus (which steals some of its thunder) and the coffee house down the street, but it doesn't diminish the classiness of the venue. The only downside of the place is that the management could stand to promote the programs and events here a little more, because I had to actively go out of my way to find out what was happening there. The Assembly Hall is a bit out-of-the-way, but it's worth a visit if you happen to be in the area.

I was afraid to touch anything when I first arrived but I quickly felt comfortable and at home. There's a small modern kitchen space on site for making coffee /tea. It is a house so there is one large space made up of the dining/living room, a good size sitting room, a small office and a kitchen with a nice porch. The staff were all very kind and accommodating. Everyone loved this cute little house and had a great time there. Highly recommend for any event.

All of the guests commented on how nice it was to have a waterfront wedding venue within the city as it felt like you were up north at a cottage without the drive (and Uber friendly). There were no lines at the bar as I've experienced at some weddings, coordination of vendors was all taken care of and they even were accommodating with our all our drink choices and made some custom cocktails for us. This is the kind of cake that you can freeze the leftovers and it will still be delicious when you are ready to eat it. I'm not typically a huge fan of orange flavoured cakes, but it was a white cake, with some fresh oranges in between the layers. The buttercream tastes like there is some cream cheese or mascarpone mixed it, and it is lovely. I look forward to the next time we can order this cake again.

I came out here a couple days ago for a press conference and was once again impressed by the experience. The decor is clean and well-maintained, and there were a horde of servers on-hand after the event to dole out hors d'oeurves, including bruschetta, egg rolls, skewers with beef, cheese and peppers (so good) and more. The staff were all very helpful and directed people where they needed to go, and the conference went off without a hitch. Definitely a great place in the village if you're looking to host an event. Recommended.

A few days before our wedding we finally got to visit the space and everyone working there was SO nice and friendly, and answered all of our questions. The day of the wedding, everything went really smooth. The guy working that day was always around for anything we needed, and helped us during our tear down to make sure that everything was all set. They provide tables, chairs, sound system, coat racks, and the rest is basically just a blank canvas for you to work with!
