It can be best described as a "co-shop" space... there are a few different shops offering a variety of ideas from vinyls, art pieces, apparel, to herbs/wellness. Not only do they sell items but they tend to have workshops on Fridays, and Saturdays that vary from sewing, journal making, herbal mock tails and more. We loved Errapel located here as we were able to pick herbs out that would help with certain wellness issues like anxiety, insomnia, concentration and more. The owner of Errapel took her time to explain them to us, guide us and was a delight just speaking to her. I would say it's worth stopping by and seeing if any of the events or shops interest you.

There are plenty of options for walk ins. Canvas, ceramics, wood items. Since it was not an instructor led project we were given detailed instructions that were very easy to follow. The staff set up our area with the canvases we selected and one ceramic project. All the supplies were laid out as well. We had plenty of room to work and chat. My kids joined me: ages 15 and 11 Our artwork did not turn out like the sample, but made for some great laughs and excellent memories. Somehow my beach scene took on the resemblance of a frog or some creature. who knew making a shadow on the water would be so hard. I look forward to visiting again. The class was pretty full. We painted a beach scene with the artist painting the pic being viewable via TV. That was different but welcomed. You can bring your own wine and snacks. We had wine, cheese and crackers. It was really fun! They selected a few folks from a gameplay and they won pictures. Those celebrating were brought on the stage and were given gifts! I will definitely come back here.

Wendy met us with spunk and enthusiasm and didn't flinch when we said "we" were getting married. We had a date picked already so for a Monday we were winning with the cost. It might not be the Louvre or the Met,…read morebut for a city the size of Columbia, I don't know if it's possible to craft and curate a better art museum. They had such a great collection, replete with amazing religious artwork, postmodernist works, artifacts from ancient China, and... a work from Claude Monet! As someone who's a huge fan of Impressionism, the fact that a piece from Claude Monet is sitting in Columbia is simply amazing. Kudos to the CMA for being able to procure this painting, and I hope that it remains at the museum in perpetuity.  In terms of the lesser-known works, they had a really cool exhibit from a local artist (well, from Spartanburg, which I'll consider "local",) which detailed the ever-increasing melding of technology and humanity. The exhibit displayed what was essentially a set of bronze busts that served as a combination of human and robot heads, with which the rise of Artificial Intelligence (AI,) is as important and prescient as ever.  Finally, they had a cool section for kids called "The Cross Hatch," where kids could experiment and learn about the different art techniques in a fun and interactive environment. In addition, when I walked into the museum, they were setting up for a corporate event, and I was told by the gentleman working the front desk that the museum also serves as an event venue for all sorts of different occasions.  The only, very very *very* minor complaint that I have is that the downstairs rooms were closed, as they were busy setting up a new exhibit. Of course, I understand that the rooms have to be closed in order to set up a new exhibit, I just wish that they weren't closed when I happened to visit. Lol.  All-in-all, the Columbia Museum of Art is an amazing art museum, I'd recommend that anybody pay it a visit, and I hope that it's around for a long, long time!

Of course the glass blowing is alot cheaper and more abundant all over Europe. The store is clean, good parking, all the staff where friendly and wearing mask. They have alot of beautiful glass project to choose from on their website. Hopefully this yr I will be able to actually take a class! Great day out for groups, couples and families. Unless there was a moment of safety, he would let us do everything. Other than gathering the glass on the blow pipe, he was true to his word. His manner of teaching was one of the best that anyone could ever ask for. He was kind in how he spoke, he was direct in his instruction. Because of his directness, which was as polite as anyone could hope for, we all knew what he and Ryan (other instructor) wanted from us. Tommy's demeanor is the reason that I will be back to the store and future classes. Customer service is at its greatest when one can ask a question and get an answer that explains everything.
