When we complained we were told that the kids were quiet when they were in the theatre, but were running around outside the room. Thats a problem! But actually we were in the last row of the adjoining theater and we could hear them in the room itself. So there is that. We all also thought it was unusual to exit the theater and walk-through the main bar/lobby to leave and see one of the staff men sitting at the bar with an undershirt tank top on. First of all it isn't the summer, but even still aren't they expected to wear their uniforms while on duty? It was very unusual.

I'm not complaining! Loved the large extended leather chairs, great sound and truly what seemed like a private showing -- I mean we're talking 'small,' as in 'tiny!' Pretty cool! The only negative was the fact people (adults) sat on the one side and let their kids go ape $#*! on the other side! Remember, this is a SMALL venue. It reminded me of what I hate about a similar cinema in Pleasantville -- a lot of privileged people on their phones, feet on the chairs, talking... but I digress! Anyway, I can't wait to go back and see something else, and hopefully in the same theater. If I see kids again, I'm getting my money back! I really want to know if the other theaters are the same size or larger. Assuming larger! Oh, parking was brutal -- almost non-existent!

The building is always a good temperature no matter what season it is. Lots of banners are decorated all over the building. My only gripe was the parking. I don't know if it is a city parking lot, or owned by the arena. No enforcement of people taking two spots. That day, it was a complete disaster to exit the parking lot. Knowing there was a huge event, there should have been employees assisting with all of the cars exiting. There was an employee on each floor. It didn't seem like they were doing anything. I was one of the first people to my car. I sat for almost 20 minutes before being able to get out of my spot. Other than that, would definitely visit the arena again, probably just not park in the garage.

There was alot of room to walk around and interact with others attending the event as well. Since this was a coliseum it had all the features of one that you would expect such as a big screen to show content at the bottom for attendees sitting at the top and rows of the seating that extended to the very top of the coliseum. The coliseum to my knowledge is now closed and has been for well over a decade. Another venue I look at with warmth in my heart.

The art gallery is just one component of the Visual & Performing Arts Center (VPAC) at Western Connecticut State University (WCSU) Westside Campus. It doesn't really make much sense to have a listing for the gallery when there's not even a listing for the VPAC itself, or even for Western Connecticut State University (WCSU) Westside Campus at all. The gallery is barely mentioned on the VPAC web page, and after attending a performance at the Veronica Hagman Concert Hall, I'm still not sure where the gallery is located. The building is very modern and has an interesting design. There are various spaces for different types of art within the center. I was in the theater, which was comfortable with big seats (not those tiny things like in Broadway houses) and the sound, lighting and temperature were great. The production of "Bat Boy" was also great. There is a gallery in the Visual Art wing and there is also a concert hall in the building, which I didn't get to see. This is a really cool building and definitely something the campus should be proud of.

It's a huge 80,000 square foot building in the heart of downtown Naugatuck. I read that the building was formerly known as the General DataComm building, and the town bought it for $2 million in 2013. We visited today to see the Made in CT Expo. Other events held there include a Horrorfest, Arts and Crafts Fairs, and Christmas showcases. It's a big open "commercial looking" space that has the look of a parking garage. It looked big enough to hold 500 vendor booths. Lots of VCT floor tiles, floor-to-ceiling columns, open ceilings with hanging fluorescent lights and exposed mechanicals.
