Our server this evening was a very pleasant woman named Tiffany, and it's more than obvious why she's been here for fourteen years. She had me at "hello." All done as they should have been. We'll see ya again soon. Thank you for the experience.

She was so busy every single one of the bar seats was taken, and she did a fantastic job balancing all of it. Overall the food was an exceptional experience. For starters we got the truffle fries, and A Minestrone soup. The truffle fries were delicious, and had a bit if a kick to them so if you dont like spicy keep that in mind. The Soup was delicious and a great size for the small soup portion. I ordered the Lasagna with meat sauce and its light delicate layers were delicious, and perfectly balanced with the cheese. The server was helpful and informative and told my friend about the Mushroom cream sauce for her ravioli that if you love mushrooms you'll love it but if you don't then steer away. And we LOVE mushrooms and the ravioli paired perfectly with the heavy mushroom cream sauce. We also got the Steak and ordered it medium rare, when it came to us and it was closer to blue/rare the server/bartender didn't hesitate to apologize and in a flash take it back. The cooks remade it and it was perfectly medium rare with that nice browning on the outside and a small bit it pink in the center. We were very satisfied and it was such a lovely touch the manager did come out before the end of our meal to ensure we were satisfied and apologized for the discrepancy in the meal. The fact it was busy every single table full and the bar also being full and the manager still coming to ensure our satisfaction was what true hospitality is all about!! 100000% recommendations for this place and will be coming back!

The King Kamehameha was a little soggy in the middle, but the flavors still hit -- sweet caramelized pineapple, tangy pickled jalapeños, and all that smoky, salty meat made every bite worth it. The Diavola Chop Salad tied everything together -- crisp, tangy, and bold enough to stand up to the rich pizzas. I wish I could tell you more about all we ordered but this is all I tried that night. Stopped in around 1pm on a Tuesday and was told there's a 35-40 minute wait despite seeing some empty tables along with some customers wrapping up their dining and walking out, but yet it looked like we were the only ones waiting for a table. Felt kind of weird but we decided to check out the surrounding businesses, which wasn't much to look at so we were back within 10 minutes, waiting awkwardly by the entrance. Staff was friendly with multiple people asking if we've been helped. I was just looking forward to having a cold beer and a nice salty pizza. We wanted to make the most of our time in the area so we just opted to get some food to go, which was only a 15 minute wait for this option. Spaghettini w/ Pork Cheek Ragu - DELICIOUS and RICH! Amatriciana - great combo of toppings and flavors Cheese pizza - my daughter is boring when it comes to food but she devoured a half pizza by herself. Didnt even get a chance to take any pics of the food because we were starving.

Cloverdale is conveniently located near Alexander Valley AVA, which means that you will have access to hidden gem wineries in this area with amazing wines. It is also not that far from Dry Creek Valley AVA and Russian River AVA if you are looking for some variety. The views in Alexander Valley AVA are stunningly beautiful and I love that it's a little more "off the grid". There is a historic downtown area that is the community hub. They have a seasonal farmers market and a good mix of amazing restaurants, shops, and wine tasting shops. All of the people in the restaurants and shops were so welcoming and friendly. It's an amazing small town to walk around and explore because there you will find some amazing spots along the way! They have events throughout the year such as the Cloverdale Wine Walk and other annual events. I would check out their calendar of events if this is something you would like to do. They also have great races such as the Cloverdale Vineyards Races where you can run through the vineyards for a great cause. Cloverdale is home to the Russian River Railbikes experience. It's a unique and fun outdoor activity where you pedal custom-designed vehicles along a historic railroad track. This guided tour is led by volunteers and takes you on a scenic route along the historic Northwestern Pacific Railroad tracks where you will have views of vineyards, wooded areas, and the Russian River. You will also pass through a tunnel, which is very cool. The experience is run by the Golden Gate Railroad Museum, a non-profit organization, with proceeds supporting their mission of preserving railroad history so you will have fun and know you are supporting a great cause. This is seasonal so if you are wanting to go, research this ahead of time to make sure that they are open at that time of year. If you haven't spent any time in the small and charming town of Cloverdale, I would definitely recommend checking it out!

Healdsburg: Pricey, Quiet, and Not Worth the Hype…read more I wanted to like Healdsburg, but it fell flat. On a Wednesday morning, the town wasn't "peacefully quiet" -- it was just empty. Barely any foot traffic in shops, restaurants, or on the plaza. Prices were high, yet nothing felt unique enough to justify them. The exception: Quail & Condor bakery, which The New York Times ranked among the best in the U.S.. That part of the hype is real. Healdsburg does have well-reviewed restaurants too, but on a slow weekday they weren't enough to give the town energy. I walked the main strip, grabbed a pastry, and left for Calistoga -- much better call. Unless you're coming specifically for the bakery, I'd skip it.

Had a GREAT time here a few weeks ago. We got together a group of 10 of us for an afternoon trip…read morewith both wine and olive oil tasting. I don't normally drink wine but came for the olive oil and the experience and it did not disappoint! I also eventually changed my mind that red wine can be good:) We were seated indoors and Edd gave us the rundown of what we'd be tasting for the afternoon complete with stories and lots of fun facts. (I now look at any bottles that say "cold pressed" with some light skepticism since it's clearly only written there for marketing purposes!) We ordered a selection of the panini sandwiches, the burrata and butternut squash salad, and the charcuterie board. The fire cheese was delicious and the spread was perfect. Throughout lunch, Edd brought us different wines to taste and by the end we were most definitely sold on the Stone Soup (the red version). The olive oil tasting was so much fun. First of all the bread was so delicious. And then we tasted about 15 (?) different olive oils or vinegars. The raspberry, lemon, and garlic ones were clear favorites. My personal favorites were the garlic and sage. Even though it was a bit of a rainy & cloudy day, the views from the patio were beautiful. We finished our wine out by the fire pit outside, and now I really need to come back during the summertime when the skies are more clear for the full experience. I left with lots of olive oil and great Christmas gifts for the family. The four piece olive oil sets are perfect for that and I brought one home for my family and we did our own inspired mini taste testing (I still miss Trattore's bread tho). 10/10 recommend and yes I definitely want to come back for the summer views and this pizza oven I keep reading in all the other reviews:))

A tasting worth the drive -- and one we'll remember for years…read more We first met the Mercury team at a recent event in Sausalito and could immediately tell they were offering more than just wine -- there was artistry and playfulness behind every pour. We knew we had to experience their tasting room in Geyserville, and it did not disappoint. In fact, it was the best tasting we've had since 2012 -- hands down. The Vibe The moment we walked into the tasting room, we felt completely welcomed. The energy was light, engaging, and genuine. This wasn't your typical stiff, scripted tasting -- it felt more like visiting a friend who just happens to be incredibly passionate (and knowledgeable) about exceptional wine. You don't just taste here; you connect, laugh, and learn something cool along the way. The Wines Each pour had personality -- creative blends, bold structure, and something memorable in every glass. We ended up taking home a few bottles that are already earmarked for upcoming holiday dinners: 2023 Skins - an orange Chardonnay that stopped us in our tracks. Golden, aromatic, and layered with apricot, pear, and tropical brightness. It's ancient in method but totally modern in vibe -- unlike anything we've had before. 2021 Freddie Rosé - somewhere between a rosé and a light red. Beautiful ruby color, bright cherry, tart quince, and a juicy finish. A standout for its structure and fun factor. 2021 Syrah (Pigoni Vineyard) - deep, rich, and elegant. Cherries, vanilla, and a touch of cocoa. Smooth from start to finish -- the kind of Syrah that feels both grounded and luxurious. 2021 Rocket - a red blend with complexity and finesse. Every sip revealed something new -- cassis, plum, dark cherry. A fantastic wine for a slow evening and good conversation. 2021 Zinfandel (North Coast) - bold and festive, perfect for chilly nights or hearty meals. The kind of Zin that reminds you why the grape got famous in the first place. Each wine told its own story, but together they also reflect the creativity and boldness of the Mercury team. It's not just about making wine -- it's about playing with tradition and making it personal. The Experience This is what tasting should feel like: casual, elevated, and full of joy. You'll laugh, you'll sip, and you'll probably linger longer than you planned. We're already talking about coming back -- not just to try new wines, but to keep this experience going. Because at Mercury, it's not just about what's in the glass -- it's about the people, the energy, and the memories you take with you. Thank you to the whole Mercury team for making our day! We came for the wine and left with so much more.

Since Geyserville is so small, it's pretty hard to miss. This place is usually packed with people on busy weekends. The staff in the tasting room were all super welcoming and pleasant. They lead us to their back patio which has a really fun and casual vibe. It's a great place to chill and catch up with friends. Despite how tiny this tasting room looks on the outside, their patio is actually quite spacious. They were pouring wines from their two different wine labels so that everyone could compare the differences in taste. And while both labels did taste different, we weren't really impressed with either. Most of what we tried tasted pretty..... young. Too robust and too tannic. Even when paired with the bites, they still tasted like they needed to age a bit more. The only wine that I liked during the tasting was their Zinfandel, and even that didn't blow me away. Who knows.... It could have just been a bad batch or maybe it was produced from vines that were hit with the smoke from the fires. I really enjoyed the atmosphere but the wines were a bit disappointing. This should really be a 3 star review based off of the wine alone, but since the service and atmosphere was great, I'm bumping it up to a 3.5 aka 4 stars. Although I wasn't too impressed with the wines this time around, I would still come back to try something different on a future visit.
