Travis never returned my call or email. 4 days later at 8pm on a Sunday night he text me and said "probably" tomorrow. It's been 3 days since then and I still have not heard from him. Just another flaky, unprofessional contractor. He has good reviews though. Not sure why. Travis was referred to me by a friend of his who gave me a bid then decided he didn't want to do the job. The other contractor said to call him as he was a good buddy who would do amazing work. After attempting to contact Travis will no luck his "buddy" the original contractor who bid then retracted emailed Travis to remind him to call me. Travis Kelly, the owner of Artisan Textures, is the man. Plain and simple. If you need drywall work done, he's the guy to call. He's professional, on time, his quotes are very competitive, and he's a really nice guy (I enjoyed chatting with him). The context... During the demo phase of our kitchen remodel I found mold behind the baseboards which ran the length of the wall. After abating the mold, I needed to hire a professional to replace and resurface (plaster) the drywall. It's a fairly large wall so I got a couple of bids. Travis' quote was by far the best and he came with many online accolades (Google his company's name) so I decided to go with him. He did a fantastic job and finished on time. A couple of days later I found another drywall problem behind the sink area (mold again). I identified the problem at 10 PM on Monday night. The cabinets were to be installed Wednesday morning so really, I needed to demo, replace, and resurface the drywall on Tuesday. Since I have zero drywall experience I contacted Travis Monday night. He got back to me in minutes and said he would be by the next day after his morning job. Since I was in a time crunch I wasn't too concerned about cost, I just wanted to fix the problem so my kitchen install didn't get behind schedule. I had an old brick wall that I wanted to cover with drywall. Travis was very responsive to emails, and he quickly answered some questions and provided an estimate for the work. The wait time for this job was about 7 days. Travis ran a little late on the day of the job, but he warned me first, so I didn't mind.
