Maryellon Bishop did the work, again, and we got to finish out some specific areas like my temples that have made a huge different. Real talk: the right temple hurt a lot and the lips were pretty mean to have done! Her technique is careful and gentle, it's rather that we have so many nerves in our lips and my particular face has one side more stubborn than the other! I came to the office for a consultation on a specific surgery I was interested in and the the doctor I had my consultation with immediately started pushing for a completely different surgery that was way more extensive going on about how it was the only option because the other surgery I wasn't in candidate for despite the fact that I've been surgeon shopping for for a while, and have met with three others all of who thought I would've been a candidate for it. She was clearly just trying to force me into doing a much more expensive surgery over what I was actually looking for. read more

My surgeon was Dr. Wang. It's been over a year since my tummy tuck. The results are just simply okay but definitely not desirable. I still have small saddle bags around my lower waist and a pudgy stomach from top to bottom which is very noticeable when you look at me from a side view. My service agreement included the tuck, liposuction and muscle tightening needed due to multiple pregnancies. The only service I received was the hanging skin removed. There is absolutely no evidence of contouring, liposuction for a flat tummy or muscle tightening. When I asked about my results I was told "the liposuction is only for the sides if you need it." This was definitely not explained during the consultation because if it was, I definitely would not have proceeded because I desired a flat tummy. I was further told, by the surgeon, that for an additional cost she would remove the saddle bags. What a joke. I've lost only 2 inches from my waist and no inches from the area that was supposed to have muscle tightening under the breast. I thought I would finally be able to tuck my shirts in. Jokes on me. A complete waste of time - the front office staff scheduled me for breast reduction pre- op appointment -( they only followed Dr Ashra's orders bc she stated that she'd like to see me back in 6 months.) When 6 months got here - she decided to pretend like she didn't say/ do any of what she did 6 months ago and told me that she no longer does insurance based breast reductions and that front office didn't know that. Could've saved my time and money by not scheduling my appointment-- The office is a complete circus and will make sure to tell all of my colleagues and clients to steer clear of that practice! 10/10 DO NOT RECOMMEND. This practice and Dr. Alexander were extremely disappointing to work with. I did EVERYTHING on my part as a patient, and yet I am told that Dr. Alexander refuses to refund my $2000 deposit. I would not recommend this practice AT ALL - here's why in a nutshell: I went to Dr. Alexander for a abdominoplasty and a breast augmentation consultation. Dr. Alexander in the consult was very nice. We went over everything, and at the end of the appointment, I met with the financial coordinator. She printed the documents - the surgery totaling roughly $17K for both. Booked for Feb 10 - paid deposit and during that call - the financial coordinator gave me $1K off the breast augmentation (for doing 2 surgeries at once). Jan 24th I had my pre-op, the nurse brought me back and took my photos, then sat with me in the room to go over details. During the conversation she commented that I wouldn't have to stay over night - that I would go home same day - which was confusing to me because I had recalled Dr. Alexander saying that I would stay over night. She then started looking at my chart and said "I have you down for Abdominoplasty and Mastoplexy, is that right?" I was confused and asked "Whats a mastoplexy?" She responded stating that it was a breast lift. I looked at her, looked at my boobs, looked back at her and replied "What are you going to lift?!" She quickly started looking through my chart and said no worries, she'd get that corrected - meanwhile, my anxiety is sky rocketing. After all, these procedures are serious. AND EXPENSIVE. They have me sit out in the waiting room (and also, during this appointment I paid in full for the rest of the complete surgery). Their finance lady comes out and states that she was so sorry, it was a typo/her mistake (like its no big deal) and oh! that the breast augmentation is more expensive - but no worries - they won't charge me more... UHM???? what??? I guess she failed to remember our conversation when we made the deposit and I was so unsettled that she was acting like she was doing me a favor. I left the office that afternoon feeling SO unsettled and unsure if I should move forward. Later that week, Northside calls me to get their payments... as she is confirming the details, I realize the nurse never circled back to if I was staying overnight or going home same day because we got sidetracked with the mix up of the breast augmentation surgery... because the NSH lady says I am having abdominoplasty and that I would be staying over night - and I brought up how the APS nurse said I wasn't... she clarified that staying overnight is a NSH requirement for abdominoplasty. Cool. No big deal. BUT THEN, she says and I also have you down for a mastoplexy..... !!!!!!!!! WHAT THE FU*$. I panicked. Because this should not have ever reached Northside with incorrect procedures. And this should have been corrected at the beginning of the week when they (APS) said they would correct it in their system.... NSH called me on FEBRUARY 2nd around 5:30 to do my health assessment - I am 100% healthy, no illness, no health problems, they asked if I had covid in the last 3 months - and I was honest - yes - I had Covid in the beginning/mid Jan but it only lasted 2-3 days, like the flu, no lingering symptoms, nothing. The health assessment lady says great! No problem, that means you don't need to worry about getting tested or bringing a vax card. We wrap up the call, everything is good. Mind you - NO ONE - AT ANY POINT thus far has provided me with any kind of COVID policy. I still have all my papers in the folder from APS and there isn't a single one. NSH when they did my health assessment - NO COVID policy relayed when I informed them that I had had it. 1 week later - FEBRUARY 9. Day before my surgery. NSH calls me on my lunch to confirm my appt in the morning. Everything is good. Until 4:00 PM when I get out of a meeting and see a text message from Marion at APS... that says (in a nutshell) she is cancelling the surgery per Dr. Alexander - she has no other info, just call her back for rescheduling. I frantically call back - THIS IS NOT A FLIPPANT APPOINTMENT - THIS IS NOT A DENTAL APPOINTMENT OR A BOTOX APPT. I couldn't reschedule and WHY ON EARTH WOULD I WANT TO AFTER ALL THIS?! I don't trust ANYONE from the practice! Long story short - they won't refund even a penny of the deposit despite all THEIR fuck ups. And take no responsibility or accountability for anything THEY did wrong. And not once has Dr. Alexander reached out to me to try and ease any concerns - all the while her staff agreed with everything I said and said they understood my perspective and blah blah blah. Oh. And they won't return my calls and ignore my requests to reconsider not refunding any of my deposit. read more

I share this hoping it will help someone. I had a breast lift and implant exchange a year ago. I had persistent pain after for almost a year. Dr Alexander stated she had never seen this before and although she didn't know what caused the pain she said what we do know is that it will eventually go away. I was very disheartened as she showed no concern to find out why. I requested imaging which she didn't want to do. She reluctantly agreed to do a MRI which my insurance wanted to speak to her before authoring and she refused. The actual physical appearance of my breast is not pretty. Nipple has painful knots around it, the color is not even and they are not round. I had another Doctor remove them and the pain went away. I fault her for not listening and for not caring enough to seek an answer. I sent the results of my mammogram which showed the chronic I flammation and she's yet to call it's been a year. Sad. In 1997, I was referred to Dr. Alexander by my optometrist because I planned to have upper and lower blespharoplasty. I trusted her to do the right thing by me because of this referral. After all, she was Harvard educated! However, she left wrinkled, bags under my eyes. She hollowed out my eyes and left me looking hollow and tired. When I asked her about this, she casually replied, "you can always have filler under your eyes. I have a great nurse who is very talented at doing this." I was horrified! I can't say enough about Maryellen Bishop's work. She is a very skilled injector, very passionate about her art and knowledgeable of the science behind it. She takes the time to understand the look you are trying to achieve and helps you get there with the minimum amount of product for a look that's never overdone. Don't go here! You are nothing but a surgery date. No one cares! They don't have time. I went because my primary doctor referred Dr. Alexander. The practice is too large. It is a production line. They see so many people they become numb. My result was not what i expected. Bilateral mastectomy with implants. They are not even and she doesn't care. I got less than 5 minutes from her in the exam room. She does not do a hands on post op visit. It makes me unsure. How does she know if I've healed correctly. My advise is to go local with your surgeon if you can. I plan on going to another doctor for a second opinion. There is no caring or any support system in the office. Very cold read more

I will keep this short and to the point. I am so disappointed with the money I wasted going to Artisan Plastic Surgery for my TT, 2 years after my surgery I don't have a flat stomach. I followed all the rules, did everything as requested and am left with a large, swollen, and Rock hard stomach. Dr Ashraf bragged how great id look after surgery and didn't mention any potential chance of me not having results. Of course now I realize that was to convince me to pay for the surgery. Dr Ashraf is very charming so It's easy to believe she's sincere. She basically sent me on my way to find another Dr to fix her blotched surgery. I'd advise you to keep looking for other doctors to avoid being an unsatisfied customer who they rip off. read more

I had a tummy tuck performed by Dr. Wang-Ashraf 6 years ago. I love the overall results but would not recommend this practice. My after-care was terrible. After surgery, I was sent home after about 6 hours in recovery. I had not been given any instructions on when to begin taking all the medicine that I was provided. No one called and checked up on me. I had to reach out to the practice for clarity and instructions. In addition, I am a small women (pre surgery, 5' 5" 117 lbs) and my incision is very high...not at all a bikini cut. As I healed, I had what is called dog ears on the side of my waist and had to have it taken care of in the office. It was the most painful experience I have ever had, more painful than a c-section. They never took after pictures which makes me think they were not proud of the cosmetic look of their work. I had a hernia that she failed to remove and that hernia cause my belly button stitches to open and my navel looks as big as a half a dollar silver piece. Despite a flat stomach, I cannot wear a 2 piece swim suit due to my incision being so high and my belly button looking abnormal. After my surgery, I have met many women who were less than pleased and experience different types of minor cosmetic complications from tummy tucks and breast implants performed by this practice. They too, were not please with their aftercare. She is a very engaging doctor and you instantly like her but I wish I had gone with a different surgeon. I actually tried to strongly discouraged a friend from having Wang perform her tummy tuck. She went ahead and was supposedly one of those rare cases of having a stomach that swelled and stayed that way after surgery. She had the procedure done again and had to pay all the costs except the surgeon fees. I wonder how many other patients were not camera worthy of "after" photos. Do your research and get multiple opinions...ask if the pictures in the photo albums have been re-touched. Most of all, ask what you should expect in terms of after-care. read more

Dr. Alexander did my upper eyes 5 years ago and continues to do my Botox injections. She did an amazing job and I would highly recommend her to anyone. I always get compliments on her work, with people telling me how natural my eyes look. As for my Botox injections, she has done a really great job. I am not shy about sharing my experience and everyone always wants to know who I visit for the care and treatment of my face. I also have received peels and laser at this practice and it has really helped the overall look of my aging skin. Following Dr. Alexander's recommendations, I stay out of the sun, use the Clarisonic, and use quality skin care products. After years of sun damage I can't believe how good my skin looks. However, my new favorite service they offer is a Health and Wellness Nurse Practitioner. Mandy joined the practice fairly recently and she works with clients to help them achieve their health goals- including weight and other lifestyle issues. I have worked with her for three weeks and am shocked at the progress I have made! I was also a very reluctant and somewhat negative patient and she completely charmed me and talked me through so many of my issues. I am making significant progress now. I went to Dr Wang-Ashraf to replace my ruptured implants. I liked her very much and we went over the procedure which was to go under the breast tissue to replace the implants the same way they they had been done previously. She in fact went through the edge of the nipple and through the breast tissue. A procedure I would never approved of. Additionally I was bille $1,300 after I thought I had paid for the procedure in full. They said my procedure went over by 30 minutes and I now owe them extra money. I'm furious ! Buyer beware!! She gave me the incorrect procedure and then charged me more money. No way I would recommend this group to anyone based on my experience. read more

I searched over 2 years researched over 4yrs and saved up $7000 before I decided to go under the 'knife'. I originally wanted Dr. Bernadette Wang Ashraf, however after my initial consultation she said she would not be able to give me the results that I desired for my (Lipo on Tummy and inner Thigh area) But after asking seeing my heartbroken face she suggested Dr Chang (who at the time was NOT Board Cert) .....I rescheduled my consultation for Dr. Chang and crossed my fingers, when we met she said that she would be able to give me the tummy I desired BUT that my inner thighs were too large for me to obtain the inner thigh gap that I desired however she assured me that they would be better than when I had previously. We set up for the date of surgery I went the the Pre-Op evaluation at which point I advised the nurse as well as Dr. Chang that I had major circulation issues with my arms, and sometimes feet, even was written down on the paperwork. The day of the surgery I advised again that I was feeling tingling in my arms nothing was said... I was told that the surgery went well and after I awoke was asked to use the restroom and put on my clothes for release. I was sooooo sore and in sooo much pain (as I expected) I was told that I needed to stay moderately active as I did...I have two flights of steps in my house and used them several times a day to keep the blood flowing. However, after I went back to work (1week post surgery) I started getting this throbbing swelling sensation in my leg that would not go away, by this time I was walking the neighborhood slowly but was just trying to follow doctors orders.....well the pain go worse and worse and eventually even the sheets on my bed began to hurt my leg. At that point I called Dr. Chang but was told she was on vacation in Brazil, I was then called by Dr. Ashraf who advised me to go to the ER ASAP I did and found out that I had a blood clot DVT I was hospitalized immediately for 1 week 1 day and was soooo saddened by the setback as I was put on bed rest for most of the time (the clots traveled up to my lungs). Dr. Chang took VERY good care of me and came to check on me personally during my stay in the hospital, she put me in a FANTASTIC hospital and I received expert attention and care. However, I can't help but ask why my blood wasn't checked the night of my surgery before even I left the hospital just as a precaution. In fact after my fibroid surgery (4yrs prior) blood samples were taken and tested before I was even allowed to leave the hospital. Dr. Chang suggested that after my hospital visit that I go to see a good Hematologist which I did and was under his care for a year and or so. When I was released from weekly blood check testings I was advised to go back to see Dr. Chang for my followup-ups which I was unable to do previously because I was in and out of the hospital and under the care of my Hematologist. When I finally went back in for my final check up (most if not all the swelling was gone) I advised Dr. Chan that for the most part I was somewhat pleased with the results HOWEVER I advised her of the spots that she missed (tummy area mostly) she managed to miss an entire fold on my lower ab on the right side the left looks perfect and its VERY noticeable and there was this ripple thing going on with my upper and lower abs she agreed with me and started me on free Exilis treatments which were awesome and really did help to sculpt my tummy area but as I researched on it....is only temporary and would need retouching yearly :( so after my treatments my tummy area looked OK but that area on my lower ab (right side) was still basically untouched and drastically different from the left side. I told Dr. Chang but she said she would not want to go back into surgery for such a small area and that it would cost me more $$ to do that small area and would be a waste of her and my time. So after $7000 and thousands of dollars of medical bills and unpaid time off of work I am now trying to save up for a Plastic Surgeon who can actually deliver the result that I desire or at least get all the parts of my abs EQUALLY!!!!! I would recommend this practice but NOT Dr. Chang at this time. read more

I was very excited to finally get my breast reduction and lift after doing lots of research. I made my consultation appointment with Artisan Plastic Surgery in Sep 2014. The office looked very elegant and sophisticated. Although the service and staff were both mediocre (staff member at reception did not know product), I decided to overlook that issue. At my initial appointment, my doctor (Dr. Chang) convinced me to get implants with my breast reduction. I was hesitant, but I had been big breasted all my life and wanted to be smaller (Size B). She assured me that the implants would be better and that I would get more of the look that I was looking for. Therefore, I agreed making my surgery price almost $9,000. I had to take out a loan even though I was hesitant. The surgery itself went well and went without a hitch. Following the surgery, I was still bigger than expected, even after a year post-op. As a matter of fact, I hadn't budged much at all except for the fact that they were not as droopy. During my follow ups, I kept asking if my breasts were going to go down and Dr. Chang and her staff assured me that they were, however, I was still about a 36 DD. Since I was so displeased with my results, I contacted the office they agreed to do the surgery again taking out the implants. Needless to say, they did and I am still too big. Once again, she assured me that I would be a small B upon completion and so far it has been almost 5 months and I am still huge. She said that I would probably stay this size. This would make 2 surgeries with the same doctor and I am still not satisfied. On top of that, I have a loan to pay off along with an additional bill of $400 for the second surgery. I wished that I could have followed my intuition while she was rushing me out of the office and went with another plastic surgeon. read more
