This was my first time using a Personal Chef for an intimate dinner for five of us. I hit the jackpot with this company. We did communicate thru emails and the only thing I regret is not making sure I had their phone number. Other than that, our evening was five star. We had fabulous Bruschetta made with local ingredients and plated beautifully . Our salad was fresh, perfectly presented , and even cold plates. Our main was a Shrimp Scampi with linguine of mixed colors using squid ink pasta. We finished with a fresh peach cobbler made with local peaches and delicious vanilla ice cream. Sasha was our host and was perfect with my guests. I can get nervous, but she was so calm , and was able to anticipate any questions. They do have various menus to peruse and they asked about any food allergies. I provided the dishes, plates, silverware, and glassware. As we were enjoying our deserts Sasha cleaned everything and stored left overs. This is a very professional company who first responded immediately to every email with different questions. Our Chef Julia was super timely, polite, and attentive. Our party of 9 has mixed opinions on the overall value of the service. I think going back to the $100 price tag, it's hard to not criticize. We went for the Mediterranean menu with some customizations. Our filets were served with potatoes and grilled vegetables. Because steak cook temperature is highly preference, k would have expected to be asked individually. We weren't, and received medium well. The potatoes and veggies, on the other hand, were very undercooked and hard. Overall, it was a great experience - but I do wish we would have done a weekday to save some money. read more

We spent few days in Scottsdale for a bachelorette celebration. Based on all the wonderful Yelp and Google reviews, we decided to book Artisan Personal Chefs for a private dinner to end our celebration. We opted for a Mediterranean menu that included a classic Greek salad (not pictured), chicken or shrimp souvlaki served with basmati rice, vegetables, and tzatziki sauce and a lemon berry parfait for $85 per person. Our chef was polite and so nice, but we were highly disappointed in the presentation and taste of our food. Our meal looked nothing like the photos posted on here. The shrimp was tiny compared to other photos posted, the rice was basically dry white rice that lacked flavor, and the bell peppers were not seasoned. The bride is vegetarian and her plate only consisted of rice and bell peppers with no other added veggies. We felt so bad. We also noticed that the lemon berry parfait was made with Smuckers raspberry jam that we were told was a raspberry coulis. Many of the reviews mention Sasha and Betsy as their chef, but our chef was neither. We do not think it is fair to price each chef equally or would have appreciated a heads up knowing if we would be getting a newer chef. A member of our party called the owner after our dinner and voiced our concerns because we definitely felt cheated. OpThey were able to partially refund is, but we still paid $295 for this dinner for 7 and do not think it was worth it. All our other meals in Scottsdale have been fantastic and it is unfortunate that we had to end the celebration with this one. If deciding to book with this company, please do more research and ask who your chef is. Thank you. read more
