So, I have been hesitant about writing this review because I have never written a bad one in my life. I believe someone could be having a bad day or not feeling well or just make a mistake resulting in a bad work performance. Which for me is understandable and I will just have a good laugh and life goes on, no big deal. But... yesterday I drove around the oval and I noticed that Arthurs Barber Shop is still in business and I felt compelled to write this review, hoping to bring awareness to this community so they can avoid that place at any cost. Last year I walked into that place and I asked the gentleman who works there for a simple haircut. my hair is fairly curly and I understand some people could have a hard time working on it whilst experienced Barbers have fun doing so because they can do all kinds of fun things such as fade ins and all kinds of designs etc. So to make things simple I asked for a simple haircut. What I got though was the worse haircut I ever had. he literally ruined my hair and when I politely mentioned that it looked uneven he said,"thats how your hair is, nothing I can do about it." To avoid an argument I paid the guy, even gave him a tip and went back to work to be the joke of the day until I borrowed a hat from a friend and was able to cover the ridiculous work he did on my hair. I am not picky about anything. But it looked so bad that I went home planning on shaving my head. My wife didn't let me and she was able to fix it a little bit. I know theres way more important things in life then getting fancy haircuts. but when someone is paying for a service, they expect at least a half decent job. So, Arthur or whatever your name is. Please, close your shop and go work with something else man..Stop ruining peoples days and selling a service that you are clearly not fit to do. Sorry for the long review Folks. I have been going here for a few years and stopped going to the chains. It's an old school barber shop with a list of regulars. He's not trying to sell you products, get you to join a club or retire off a single haircut. It's a great price for a haircut. I'm usually in and out in under 15 minutes. Maybe 20 if there was someone in the chair when I get there. It's great that there's an actual barber shop open on Mondays as most are closed and it's the one day I'm not traveling for work. read more

A basic no-frill men's barbershop. Reasonable price, good basic cut, nothing fancy. Decor hasn't changed from what a barber shop was like in the 50's. Hard to find a simple regular haircut nowadays. This is the place. It's only a one man shop, so at popular times you might have to wait. read more

Horrible. My husband just came home from getting a "hair cut" looks like he let a 5 year old cut his hair. The one start because there was no wait.. go figure read more

Got in on a Saturday late morning with hardly a wait. Arthur (there's nobody else) did the job in no time. Basic haircut is $14 and it looked great, according to the critics (wife and fam). It'll be a regular stop from now on. read more

Great Old Time Barber Shop.The Best military Flattops I've found. I enjoy the political and current events conversation also. Try it I think you'll like it! I have tried many Barber Shops in the Greater Nashua Area and nobody can compete with Arthur's for Precision and Consistency for Flattops the way I like it !!! read more

He literally took 7 minutes to do my haircut. Zero attention to detail and rushed me out after I pointed out a few hairs he missed. I will never be going there again, suggest you do the same. read more
