On a Friday, that too on Good Friday, at approximately 2 PM--during normal business hours--vehicles parked for no more than 30 minutes in spots facing Spring Creek and Independence were aggressively towed. This occurred despite the fact that the studio itself appeared inactive at the time, with no visible customer activity and ample parking available directly in front of its entrance. From a reasonable and community-oriented perspective, this enforcement appears excessive and disproportionate. Parking policies are understandable when they serve a legitimate business need--such as ensuring access for paying customers. However, enforcing towing under these circumstances, where there was no apparent demand or obstruction, raises concerns about fairness, proportionality, and good faith. Businesses operate within communities, and with that comes a level of responsibility to act reasonably--not punitively--especially when no harm or inconvenience is being caused. Towing a vehicle within such a short window, absent clear necessity, creates the impression of predatory enforcement rather than responsible property management. If this is indeed standard practice, it would be advisable for the studio to: * Ensure clear, prominent, and unambiguous signage * Allow a reasonable grace period * Exercise discretion based on actual parking demand Actions like these don't just inconvenience individuals--they erode trust within the broader community. The dancing instructors are great. Very professional, friendly, and patient. They are very knowledgeable and make learning to dance fun.

My fiance and I were gifted dance lessons for our wedding from her parents. We had our consultation and immediately fell in love with everyone at the studio, especially Charlie Dee! In fact, we liked them so much that our parents got in on the lessons as well!!! At this point we are a couple lessons in (with a few groups as well) and have made significant improvement. I arrived at Arthur Murray in Plano to learn a little dancing for conventions and other events. I had no idea I would love ballroom dancing and think of the studio as my "happy place." I started in late January, 2010 and haven't stopped. In that time I have gone from a total newbie to a longtime student. I can attest that the instructors and staff remain fiercely committed to my success. But other reviewers have praised the teachers. What about the other students you will be interacting with? I want to assure potential new students that you are welcome and wanted. Us "old timers" love to dance with new students. I am a student, but I would love to have some small part in your discovering the joy of dancing. If you want to practice something your instructor showed you, we students are happy to help. My fiancé and I started taking lessons at Arthur Murray Plano about a month ago and have consistently been blown away by the level of customer service, professionalism, friendliness and adherence to necessary COVID-19 precautions. Our initial nervousness and hesitation to begin ballroom dance lessons immediately vanished after our first lesson. Everyone we have encountered or worked with there has been incredibly friendly, welcoming and contributed to an overall fantastic experience. We signed up for a few classes for our wedding dance and the instructors seem great. Really patient, know their stuff and work with you to give you exactly what you want. I don't really enjoy the "hard sell" they give you to upgrade to more private lessons though. "Always be selling" is something they believe in. Still, good place. read more

I started dance lessons on July 9, 2012. I was nervous, awkward and afraid someone would make fun of my two left feet. Quite the opposite! The learning environment is incredibly positive, encouraging and just plain fun! The instructors are super patient and friendly. The moment you walk in they make you feel welcome and part of the group. The instructors are very professional-- they not only know how to dance, but they know how to teach others to dance. They also know how to make the students feel comfortable-- no matter the personality type. (Example, I'm shy and introverted, yet they found a way to make ME feel comfortable!) The benefits to taking dance lessons at Arthur Murray Dance Studio are not limited to learning how to dance. You gain confidence, you learn to relax and have fun, and you make new friends. I didn't expect these additional benefits. I've also been smiling more and have had a better outlook on life. I have been dancing at Arthur Murray Plano for over 1.5 years and I absolutely love it. It has been one of the best decisions of my life because I have become a happier, more confident person. I have had private lessons with almost all of the teachers at the Plano studio. They are all caring and love to teach. They create a very warm and welcoming atmosphere. I feel like it is my second home. They welcome kids of all ages. My son loves coming with me. I love the private lessons because my teachers are able to create a lesson around what I want to learn and what my goals are. I also love the group classes because I get to dance with other students and practice my school figures. There is also weekly practice parties and events through out the year, from a evening of dinner and dancing with live music to a weekend of dance competition with a professional show. Their goal is to have fun and to learn to dance. This studio excels at both. Arthur Murray studios are franchised and international, so even if you travel, you can visit an Arthur Murray studio for a group class and know they will be teaching the same dance figures. The dance figures are kept up to date so you know you are not learning outdated dance steps. Every teacher well trained and continuously receive new training, even the more experienced teachers. The Plano studio, along with the Dallas and Fort Worth studios, bring in traveling coaches for both their teachers and students.
