My son has ADHD and they not only embraced him, but develped his technique and he thrived! My daughter is very young and only did the recreation program, but all of the teachers (especially Tammy and cooper) were absolutely amazing! Because of DI both of my kids are way above their age level in all genres from just one year of dancing there. The staff is extremely professional, and the owner is just so on top of everything at the studio. The best part of the studio is that none of the teachers or staff (Including the owner) get involved with ANY of the drama at the studio. They place the kids where they will do the best in technique and maturity wise. The only reason why we left is because we moved out of state, however we are going back every year for some of the conventions they participate in so we have the chance to dance with them. They care about molding your dancer into a professional dancer, not just a competitive dancer who stops dancing at 18 when they age out of competitions. They work with the seniors in getting them into the right collages and help them earn scholarships to pay for tuition. The owner and staff are well connected as well to get your foot in the door if you want to go more towards the entertainment industry. The ballet program is top notch with dancers that get into the most prestigious dance schools. (They have placed at least 3 dancers at Juilliard last year). They also have great adult ballet, tap, and hop hop classes that are so much fun! If you have the opportunity to go to DI do it! It was the best decision for our whole family made in dance we have ever made.

Our lessons with Z left us well prepared for our wedding dance (which we slayed by the way)…read more We picked the dance package that let us visit as frequently as we liked, and ended up going once a week, with two twice a week sessions before our wedding. Z has a big personality and makes you feel welcome, no matter your experience level. Our only negative was that we wished it was colder in the studio. Definitely recommend!

Our experience with Z left much to be desired. While the flexibility in scheduling was appreciated,…read moreseveral concerning issues overshadowed any positives. Firstly, there was a persistent impression that the instructor was more focused on upselling than providing necessary guidance. This detracted from the learning environment and left us feeling uneasy. Moreover, the instructor's strong body odor was a significant discomfort during sessions. This, coupled with disrespectful jokes and overly critical correction methods, created a hostile learning atmosphere. It's unacceptable for an instructor to justify disrespectful behavior as "part of teaching." Additionally, the instructor's tendency to repeat himself excessively became not only annoying but also detrimental to the learning process. Rather than clarifying instructions, it often led to confusion and frustration. Furthermore, the lack of structure in conducting lessons at the instructor's house was evident and contributed to an overall sense of disorganization. The music was often ready to be played, but there were awkward breaks between the commercials because he didn't pay for streaming service. Also, there were times when he had a connection issue on speaker. In summary, while Z offers flexibility in scheduling and understanding us running late sometimes, the negative aspects of our experience outweigh any potential benefits. We would not recommend it to others, especially those who prioritize a respectful and structured learning environment.
