My daughter has loved dancing at Miss Heejin's Dance Studio! They offer classes in wide variety…read moreof dance styles, so she was able to learn everything from ballet to hip hop. The teachers provide excellent training in a caring and supportive environment. They encourage dancers to challenge themselves, yet take care to ensure each child grows and develops skills at their own speed. Prior to finding MHDS, my daughter had taken classes at four other local studios. By comparison, MHDS is the most professionally run. I especially appreciated the clear communication to parents!

I'm just not feeling the love for this studio…read more Classes are crowded Instruction is pretty hit or miss - Jazz is inappropriately difficult yet ballet is taught at a preschool level Shoes must be purchased through the studio - with no concern as to fitting the dancers foot. If the shoe doesn't fit, dance through the pain and risk injury They say that all dancers need to have the same foot wear for consistency. Yet there is no dress code. Where is the consistency there? They require different color tights for different classes, yet do not schedule any time between classes for changing. Changing tights or shoes Tights must also be purchased from the studio. Again no regards for the dancers comfort. This studio seems to be set up more as a money making venture for the studio owners at the expense of the well being of the dancers. The well being of your dancers should be your first priority.

Boston Ballroom - Couple does a Wedding Dance Lift during their first dance taking wedding dance lessons at Boston Ballroom.

We cannot say enough wonderful things about Peter and Marisa (Boston Ballroom). Their ability to…read moreunderstand the music, myself and my son, and create a lovely, musical, smooth dance within our ability was amazing. "My wish" was our mother/son dance song, which I had thought was a slow (waltz) type song - HA - it is pretty fast and yet Marisa choreographed an amazing dance for us with turns, spins, and other details that looked great and flowed while allowing the two of us to enjoy ourselves, talk, laugh througout. The lessons were fun and exhilerating. Both Peter and Marisa helped us to shine and enjoy every moment. No matter why you want to take a lesson, for a wedding, just for fun, exercise, a night out with your love , ...- you cannot go wrong with Boston Ballroom.

Before booking Boston Ballroom for my husband's (then fiancé's) wedding dance lessons, I researched…read morecountless options and compared the packages each dance school offered. Looking back on my wedding day and our experience with Peter and Marissa, I can confidently say choosing Boston Ballroom was the best decision I made! From the very first lesson, Marissa and Peter made us feel comfortable and we laughed the entire time. My husband had no prior experience but Peter and Marissa built our foundation and had lots of patience when my husband would forget everything. Their teaching went far beyond just choreographing a wedding dance. They helped us build a deeper connection by focusing on leading, following, and trusting one another. As a result, our dance felt polished, elevated, and personal--not like we were just counting steps or waiting for the next move. My husband and I love to have fun and don't take ourselves too seriously, so our wedding guests were absolutely stunned when he pulled off lifts and spins like a pro! The level of care and professionalism Boston Ballroom provided was truly unmatched. They went above and beyond, coordinating with our venue, band, photographer, videographer, and day-of coordinator to ensure everything ran seamlessly. They even planned out the space we'd need and made sure no cameras would block our performance, allowing us to fully enjoy and immerse ourselves in the moment. The owner of our wedding venue personally told us that our dance was one of the best they had ever seen, and our family was in awe of how beautiful it was. You can see the excitement on everyone's faces in the pictures--I'll update this review with more photos once I receive the rest from our photographer. Another highlight of our wedding dance package was the inclusion of couples' dance classes, which we're so excited to use as date nights in the future! Marissa and Peter are not only incredibly talented instructors but also genuinely kind and thoughtful people. If you're looking for an unforgettable dance experience and complete peace of mind on your big day, look no further. We're beyond grateful to them for helping create a memory we'll cherish forever!

They do not teach employees how to be courteous and helpful. So I am canceling my membership…read more I was working out and someone picked up a phone call. I asked very nicely if they could take it in the hall or common area, it's posted as a rule not to talk on the floor. He looked at me like he wanted to kill me and kept talking. Spencer, a trainer, was about 10 feet away. I asked him if he could please tell him to not take a call here. He said he couldn't. He could do it later. I said I don't understand, it would take 3 seconds to ask, you just talked to me longer than that, just ask him please. He said he couldn't, in a way that seemed like teasing, like he was tying to make me feel petty for asking. I went downstairs and complained to the person at the desk. When I went back upstairs Spencer came right up to me and said he asked him and he hung up the phone. It was obvious now he had been teasing me, because he came right up to me to try to patch it over. No one likes to be ridiculed. This is the first time something like this happened. There is a man there who stares at people. A few weeks ago he walked up to me and yelled in my face when I asked him not to stare at me. I told him to please move away from me, he didn't. I mentioned it to the spikey haired guy at the desk who said "Oh ya, he's does that a lot, I know exactly who you're talking about." Nothing has been done, and this guy continues to roam around there looking to pick a fight. They need to take care of members. Something is wrong here. I'm leaving. It's their job to enforce rules, members shouldn't have to beg them.

I was told that they had no staff available to give me a tour, however there were 2 staff at the desk. Additionally the staff at the front desk were very condescending, disrespectful and uncooperative. When we entered she seemed very annoyed. Overall I felt as though this experience was underwhelming and I was left dissatisfied.
