    Mom and Dad together forever!
    Lynne A.

I've been following them on IG for quite awhile now. My father passed end of Sept. I decided to combine both my Mom and Dad's ashes and have a purple heart made. Greg answered all my questions through every step of the way. He was so kind and caring. It takes about 6 weeks or so for them to make, and ship it to you. Every piece they make is a work of art. I highly recommend trusting them to handle your loved one's ashes. Wonderful caring people. I couldn't be happier!

You can't go wrong here. You just can't. My parents died almost 30 years apart, mom first; my dad, fairly recently. Since my dad's loss was recent, I was more attuned to an ad Artful Ashes. It was exactly the salve my soul needed. Once I received my dad's ashes, I reached out to Artful Ashes. The staff was wonderful, so kind, so compassionate. I drove down there (not an easy drive for someone who is used to the suburbs) with my parents' ashes in separate containers. Had a conversation with the staff and decided that keeping my parents' ashes in separate globes was appropriate based on my own personal memories. Given the state of the world (ie, covid), they warned me that it would take a few weeks to have the globes made. When the globes were made, I received lots of texts and videos that showed how their ashes were incorporated into the design. It was reverent and attentive to the emotional needs of the situation. I felt as if they knew my parents and were treating the ashes with the same care as I would. The globes are stunning. I show them to everyone and people always ask how to get their own. I also purchased a lighted stand so that I can display the globes when I want. The remaining ashes were scattered out on the Puget Sound and I think my parents would be very happy to be floating together. I can't think of a more beautiful experience and tangible memory of my parents than having these pieces of art decorating my home.

Many years ago, a random Facebook ad popped up on my feed for Artful Ashes for no reason that I could determine at the time, but I thought their work was beautiful and the company name made it into my memory bank. 4 months ago, my Dad passed away. Even though he had been diagnosed with cancer 14 years earlier, his death was sudden and unexpected. While waiting to receive his ashes from the mortuary, I scoured the internet looking at urns but couldn't find anything that seemed "right". That's when I remembered the Artful Ashes ad and showed my husband. My husband surprised me with a trip to Seattle and an appointment to watch my Dad's memorials be made. There are no words to that accurately express how amazing the experience was. Christina, Greg and the rest of the Artful Ashes staff are truly angels. We arrived to the studio a little early for our appointment and while waiting just outside the studio, we were able to watch the staff working on some of the mail order memorials. It was incredible to watch the care they took with each memorial. When the time came to have my Dad's memorials made, Greg offered to take pictures and video with my husband's phone so we would could have memories without having to take ourselves away from the process. I cried a lot in the beginning but as the first orb was nearing being complete, it's beauty brought a smile to my face. Christina, Greg and staff went above and beyond, providing caring, compassionate service creating my Dad's memorials. They called when our orbs were ready to ship home (we unfortunately had to fly back home the day before) and were super accommodating changing the address so I could receive them at work instead of trying to make sure someone would be home to sign for the delivery. The orbs arrived well packaged and contained a tin with the excess ashes. If you are in the unfortunate situation of needing to do something with a loved ones ashes, I cannot recommend Artful Ashes enough. If you can make it to the studio, I highly recommend doing so. Being there to watch was definitely therapeutic for me. If you can't, or you don't think you want to watch, know that your loved one will be in the best hands. The only thing I would trade this experience for would be to have my Dad back with us.

My mom's orb next to her urn

Ever since my mom passed away, I've been struggling with a deep sense of loss. My mom was my best friend, my confidant... we would talk five times a day, if not more. There is a huge hole in my heart that I've been unable to fill, and even though I wear her ashes in a necklace, wear her rings, and even have a tattoo of her handwriting on my wrist, nothing feels like it is ever enough. So when it came to finding an urn, I found the process difficult. Nothing was beautiful enough to capture my mom's spirit. I settled on a gorgeous urn that is unique and that I think she'd love... but I still wanted something more meaningful. One of my friends saw a video about Artful Ashes on Facebook, and sent it to me. I instantly knew this is what I wanted to do. You can order either a heart or an orb (I chose an orb), and request a collection kit, where they send to you a scoop and a tin in which to put a small amount of ashes. I decided to request a color combination they did not have on the website, which was no problem. I chose dark green, which was my mom's favorite color, and amber for my mom's birthstone (topaz). The white you see in the pictures is my mom's ashes. Once they received my mom's ashes, I got a phone call from Leslie to let me know Charlotte had arrived. I loved how they never referred to my mom as "your order" or "the ashes" or anything else of the sort. They always mentioned my mom by name. It's such a small thing, but it meant so much to me. Leslie confirmed my order, and asked if I wanted to include a little bit of gold in the orb to make it shimmer. I said that sounded lovely. They also engrave your orb if you want, so I requested "Momma" on it. She asked if I wanted a heart next to it, and I liked that idea :) It took about a month for my mom's memorial to be created due to the amount of orders they had (that Facebook post my friend had seen certainly made its way around the internet). Once complete, I received another call to let me know Charlotte was on her way home. When the box arrived, I excitedly opened it. And as soon as I took that orb out of its velvet pouch, I burst into tears. It was beautiful... more beautiful than I had expected it to be. I knew it would be an emotional thing, but there were some happy tears involved since I had my mom back home with me. They also returned any unused ashes in the same tin I had shipped out to them. Upon placing the orb on the lighted base, I realized it looks like University of Miami colors -- my mom's and my alma mater. That was not the intention, but what a happy coincidence this turned out to be. Mom would've loved it. The orb costs $185, plus $15 for the lighted base. They send the collection kit to you at no charge, but you have to pay $25 to ship it via Priority Express mail back to them (since it is cremated remains). You'll also have to pay $25 for them to ship the completed orb or heart to you. It's pricey, but it's worth it. It's stunning to look at, and I've received so many compliments on it already. Anything that allows me to remember my mom with a smile through my tears is truly priceless in my mind.

I've been meaning to write a review for the past year and life just kept getting in the way, but my appreciation and thanks is no less heartfelt. The Artful Ashes team is compassionate, professional and do beautiful work. They went above and beyond to get my order done by the date I wanted. Every night the globe with my beloved sister's ashes light the darkness. Thank you Artful Ashes. Your beautifully crafted memorials help ease the grief of losing a loved one.

My daughter died in a mass shooting on 4/21/13. She was 24. I was finally able to get a memorial made for myself and one for my son for a birthday gift. Everyone was so kind and considerate. They took very good care of my daughter's ashes. You can choose to have remaining ashes scattered on the waters of Puget Sound if you prefer not to have them returned as you send in a tablespoonful of ashes for each memorial, but they don't use all of the ashes. I wish I would have known about them when my parents died.

Green and gold orbs and hearts. Go Pack Go! (I mean, not this particular season maybe.... :D )

When I brought my ashes in, I was aprehensive. Seeing someone take your loved ones ashes out of their urn was harder than I thought. Christine was so genuine, so nice and caring. Greg came over, introduced himself, they showed me some of the other works of art and where some of them were shipping off too. There is a sense of calm these folks induce, and I felt comfortable leaving my most prized possession in their care. (Or at least some of him) I can't express how seeing the finished works of art felt. I ordered 5 pieces. In Packers colors- (in a sea of Seahawks fans, yes, I was born in GB, my dad was also a cheesehead) One for each of my siblings, my mother and myself. Each heart or orb is gorgeous. Each beautifully unique. With beautiful glowing swirls of Dad in each. Stunning. It is emotional and tears were shed, and again, these warm hearted people are there to give you comfort, tissues, and even a hug. I hope I won't need them again, but if I'm unfortunate enough to have to be in the same position, at least I know I'm fortunate enough to know the group at Artful Ashes.

I lost my lifelong friend in August of 2020, and it was her wish that I had her ash made into a globe. In searching the different companies available, I chose Artful Ashes. Their selection, pricing and very compassion-forward approach all made it feel right. I cannot say "Thank you" enough for all your outstanding service, including personal phone calls, and the gorgeous memorial you created for me.

My sister Sarah died on 10/13/2018 suddenly at 33 two weeks after a car crash. I was left with her ashes and at first that was comforting enough until a friend suggested artful ashes. I looked through the page and testimonials many times before deciding to do this. I'm so happy that I chose to have my sister made into a beautiful glass piece that people have complimented on. Pictures never do it justice but this couldn't have come out any better. Thank you ARTFUL ASHES

These amazing people will add your loved one's ashes to create a piece of glass art to take home and keep. Check their website. The concept is just so wonderful. We will be traveling to Seattle to have the creations made with my dad's ashes soon... it has been a long journey since he passed away and for my little one it has been especially difficult. I finally spoke with the owners and we will be going up to see them. It means so much. I'll post again once we get the pieces.

Nicholas (Nicki to friends,) was taken at the age of 31 in a robbery gone wrong. Artful Ashes was so understanding and created this beautiful Orb that we placed in our entry in an antique birdcage. I never close the door of the birdcage and decorate it every season. RiP my son!

I never feel rushed or anything like that. A reminder is sent in December to let you know that you should schedule an appointment or upload all your documents to the SmartVault before the appointment or as a substitute for your appointment. Smart Vault is where they store all your past tax documents, which comes in handy if it's ever needed. This year, I decided to explore the other options and utilized the SmartVault option, so all I had to do was upload all my documents and just wait until Joe get a chance to process it. Joe called me with additional questions. After all said and done, he sent me notification that it's ready to file, and all I had to do was reviewed, signed, scanned, and upload to SmartVault for filing. The invoice for the service is also included, and you can make a payment over the phone with Sally. This is so convenient, and such an innovation way to do your taxes without having to leave the comfort of your home and fight traffic. Super awesome!
